The courtyard was rather lovely during winter. Despite the rather chilly air, it gave a warmth inside that drew Billy towards the center. Her light brown eyes were locked in, tapping her cheek with her finger as she stared at the gorgeous fountain ahead of her. During spring, it must be a lovely place to study. But none the less, it would do, despite the snow that she will get on herself when she decides to sit down nearby.

Though, the Slytherin didn't seem to mind the snow, getting out one of her books and starting to read. Yet, it wasn't a book for any of her classes. Rather, it was a book on electricity. It was a Muggle book, one she had gotten from a store one time. After all they lived in a dominant Muggle area, it was hard to find anything magic related despite the family being all wizards. It was a cheaper place to live though, so sadly it would have to do.
Billy knew though that if she wasn't exposed to the Muggle lifestyle she would have never grown a fondness for electricity. There were plenty of books for such a topic. There are books about experiments you could try, the science behind light-bulbs, how wires are built and the metals that are used. It fascinated the girl. Soon enough, she was already buried in her book. Best not to be disturb when she is in total focus...

The crispiness of winter is something which Kathy proclivates the most. Though at times it made her feet numb and her hand thrust in snow, she however tends to forget those embarrassing significances. She was in a very dynamic frame of mind, especially today, sans perusaling or portraying, she desired to take part in snow fights like she did with her friends, quite habitually. To be exact it can't be presumed as a snow-fight, rather a misunderstanding snow-hit. Well Kathy has never episoded how to literally play a snow-fight. Today she was solitary, because she didn't fancied to attend the book interpretation sessions or sketching assemblies. A time for herself, that's all she set her heart to. As her footprints got marked chasmic and deeper in the thick snow, she thought of making a snow ball for no rationality, literally for no reason at all. But who knew, that her snow ball would strike a Slytherin analysing a book instead of the tree close by?
Eyes widened, Kathy was befuddled what to do. First possibility, sprint away from there and never let that Slytherin know who hurled snow on her. Subsequent option, go to her and distinctly state that Kathy was the cause for the mess and make a dart from there. Third alternative, apologise to her and wait for her to take the desired actions.
She better notioned about the tertiary option, it's straightforward and comprehensible. Whatever the consequences are, it can't be worse than getting hit by the Whomping Willow, right? Kathy plodded towards the girl and said whatever turn of phrase came to her mind, "I really apologise in behalf of my snow ball- I mean for my careless action. Could you please excuse it this once?"

Well, that was the last thing Billy expected.
She felt a sudden hit, a cold feeling running down her face towards the book she was reading. Snow. It wasn't hard, just a snowball. But yet, the slytherin couldn't help but just panic. She dusted away the snow from the book, her eyes being frantic. The pages are wet now...
Billy slowly looked up, her gaze landing on the girl in front of her. Another first year Slytherin, one that she did not know though. When she spoke, she seemed to own up towards her mistake. Billy would have respected that, sadly today was not that day.
"Watch it next time." Billy snapped, her tone loud and clear with a scowl. "Did you not look for where you were throwing it at?" Okay, this wasn't good. Billy wasn't taking into account the fact she may be going into unreasonable territory very quickly. Her gaze pierced into the other, continuing to dust off the book in her hands, now incredibly cold in her hands.
Billy went quiet, standing up and continuing the dust herself off of the snow. Who was this person even throwing it at? There was no one else even around, perhaps it was aimed at her and she was trying to excuse it with a lousy excuse.
