Today was pretty normal. Kierce went to his classes and somewhere along the lines it had begun to snow. By the time Kierce was done with his classes the grounds were almost entirely covered in snow. I had the bright idea to try an experiment, so let's start with the scientific method! First; the observation or question, in my case this was How is the perfect snowball created. Step the second; research the topic. I'm assuming hogwarts has a scientific book dedicated to snow so I'll apply my knowledge to this instead.

I head off to the grounds, my notebook in hand, and get to a relatively non-crowded area. Step the third; Hypothesize! I pull out my pencil that I often have on me and begin to write, 'The snowball that is labeled as 'perfect' will preform the best in three categories or best in at least two, Lightness, Composure, and naturally affect the snowball has on targets. I pause, does that look right?. This was more for fun, so Kierce just went with it.

Here's the beginning of when this turned into chaos. Step the fourth; experiment, Kierce began to pack together snow, ending in around 30 possible perfect snowball candidates. He noted how each was different in his notebook and what categories he thought each would excel in. He also had a large number of imperfect snowballs, which to anyone walking by might be cause to think he was trying to start a battle on the grounds. I guess that's what happened when someone nailed him in the back of the head with a snowball. I whip around to see whomever this obviously mad person was.

One thing I always enjoy about the wintertime is the snow. The snow fell through the sky, covering the path like a warm, white blanket. Because we were up in Scotland, where the winters were cold, we would surely get a white Christmas this year, seeing all the snow falling around. I was out and about, walking in a winter wonderland when I bent down and held a ball of snow in my hands. What I really loved about white winters was the things you could do, including a SNOWBALL FIGHT! I looked for any passersby coming this way. My eyes caught the glint of someone nearby. Without thinking, I brought my arm back like I was a baseball pitcher and hurled that snowball as far as I could. It hit the stranger clean in the back of the head. I froze for a second, then plunged into the snow as if it was a good hiding place. Again, as if! I could my feel my face turning pink from the insane cold. I then pulled my hood up over my poor, burning cold ears and eyed the person I had hit to see their reaction.

There wasn't a person there, but Kierce had a sneaking intuition that some had something to do with the snow that looked like someone just jumped into it. If you've ever had the plessure of having someone throw a snowball at the back of your head count yourself lucky. I was upset, but I needed to keep a level head the person was probably nearby, or had the arm of the best baseball player I've ever seen. What would my dear older brother do? Challenge them to a war probably, wait... Kierce stood up and smirked "I know you're in the snow you pansy. I don't have any hard feelings about you hitting me in the head okay? I just wanted to ask if you'd be up for a friendly competition, since you seem to think you're the best at this." Kierce said relatively loudly so that wherever the person was hiding he could still be heard. I guess I now have a subject for the snowball experiment. I look at the pile of imperfect snowballs And if they agree to the battle I already have ammo. This probably wasn't gonna go Kierce's way he wasn't very strong but, he could probably keep up a snowball war for a good amount of time, he also wasn't the best at aiming so this probably would become something he would regret...
