Haley didn't want drama, to be honest she had enough drama for some time in the last year. She didn't want to fight with Ronnie or be pissed off and annoyed, but she wouldn't do nothing either. She wouldn't just suck it up and take it like that. Not talking had caused some problems, she wouldn't make that mistake again. She didn't care if it was obvious at that moment that she was annoyed. Maybe a little jealous too. She wanted to be honest, to her will and Ronnie's will too.

Angrily she looked out of the window, having spoken what she needed to speak. She was angry, but relieved at the same time. Talking had a pleasant effect, the young rose had not been aware of that for a long time, but at that moment she felt comfortable with it. And she was proud that she had tried and succeeded in getting rid of old and bad habits. Haley hadn't noticed that her boyfriend had come to her and she flinched slightly when he hugged her from behind. Not for a second had she thought about pushing him away, she felt safe in his arms. Angry or not. She enjoyed the embrance and leaned into him, signalling that even if she was angry, he shouldn't let her go.

She was honest with herself, his explanation did not satisfy her completely. But she was glad THAT he responded to her words. But the mention of Carina being great, did not make the jealousy in her subside, quite the opposite. But Haley didn't want to be that jealous girlfriend and so she swallowed the lump and tried to banish the notions of Carina with the sexy Italian accent and Ronnie. "Thank you." She replied to his words, and she meant it. She hadn't expected him to apologise, much more she was afraid the two of them would argue, but that wasn't the case. "I am sorry for being mad, but I couldn't just ignore it." Added the redhead.

When Ronnie placed his kiss on Haley's head she couldn't help but smile, the bad feeling almost forgotten. After he kissed her hand some more and began to lead her back with him, she stopped for a moment before they rejoined the others. She looked serious at first and walked towards him, but couldn't resist smiling at the sight of him. She pulled him by the hand a little towards her and leaned into a kiss before following him further into the living room.

After singing the reaction of those present was incredible and it had been really fun to perform the little serenade together with Izzy. "Thank you, thank you." Haley said with a laugh, blushing slightly. And as the evening went back to normal, Venice couldn't resist adding another touch. She ignored his gesture and silently thought to herself, "Fuck off." But continued to smile falsely at him before focusing fully on Ronnie.

After everyone had exchanged their gifts, it was time for the Rose family to leave. The bottom line was that Haley was happy with the way things had gone, even though Venice had added a little drama to the evening, she was thankful for the evening.

While Haley looked at the stone staircase the next day, she could see Ronnie earlier this time and she began to grin broadly. He looked incredible, as always, and the beanie looked amazing on him. "I can't wait." She laughed and took his hand. She had been pondering all morning what this surprise was going to be, but Haley just couldn't think of it. She was getting all the more impatient and no matter what it was, she was already full of anticipation, because she was sure that Ronnie would manage to positively surprise her without any problem.

As the two of them sat on the train, Haley watched the world outside fly by in swift puffs. She sat there, still and quiet, enjoying the moment as she continued to hold Ronnie's hand. If someone had told her a year ago that she would be here in Brazil over Christmas, with Verona next to her, an incredibly handsome and charming boy who was her boyfriend to, Haley would never have believed it. But it was reality, he was her little reality and she couldn't be happier.

Surprised she looked up as Ronnie stood in front of her, a little confused she looked at him but agreed and so she was blindsided for the rest of the way. "Verona, watch out!" she nervously admonished her boyfriend who was leading her by the hand. She laughed as she did so, running like a child who had just learned to walk, "I mean it! I don't want to trip!" She couldn't stop laughing and clung to his upper arm with both hands for a better sense of security.

Fortunately for her, it wasn't long before they had arrived at their destination and Haley noticed her tense muscles loosening. "Thank Merlin." She murmured as Ronnie removed the bandage. She blinked a few times to get used to the daylight, but when she saw what was sitting there in front of her looking at her she gave a mad croak and put her hand over her mouth. "OH MY GOD. Look at you!" She took the little one in her arms and nuzzled the fluffy fur of the golden retriever puppie. "Look Ronnie, he looks like you!" She laughed now and turned to her love.

She lowered the little one back to the floor and speechless, she followed Ronnie to the door behind which hid a little paradise. As soon as the two went through the door, loud barking filled the surroundings. The two went into the backyard and Haley wanted to die of awe. "I can't" she pleaded and knelt on the ground. She was surrounded by dogs and made an effort to pet each one of them. "Such a good boy!" she said to each of the dogs and not just once.

They were greeted by some of the shelter staff, they too were clearly delighted to see Ronnie and Haley. "You can find toys there too, the little ones are always happy to have something to do." Ronnie was kind enough to translate the words for Haley, who thanked them in English and picked up a small ball from the shelf the lady had pointed to. "Go get it!" she called and while the dog most likely didn't understand her, he still ran after the ball. Of course he did, he was a dog and he wanted to play. Ronnie was busy with the dogs too and she caught herself just watching him for a moment and fell in love with this boy all over again.

She took her phone out of her pocket and made a short video of all the dogs and sent it to a chat group with her muggle friends. In just a few minutes there were lots of "awws" "I want one" "Cuddle them from us" until one of her friends wrote that she'd better send a picture of her boyfriend she was visiting. Haley laughingly shook her head and took an unnoticed snapshot of Ronnie and posted it to her group with the caption "Let me introduce you mi amor."

The next few messages made Haley giggle out loud. "Damn Hales." "You have to introduce us to him, asap." "How did you pull him?" "Does he have a brother?" Among many laughing smiley faces, she sent one last text message before putting her phone away again and turning her attention to the dogs. "Remember, he belongs to me."

Haley's attention wandered back to the dogs and she fell in love with each one. There were even more dogs than the ones in the backyard. Ronnie and Haley got a little tour of the shelter. They passed kennels that were open so the dogs could retreat whenever they wanted. some had a sign on them that said "Adopted". The lady explained to them that it was always a huge success when they managed to place dogs and as soon as one of the dogs was placed, the free space in the shelter was immediately given to a new dog. They had an immense problem with the number of shelter dogs and when Haley learned that there was some sort of deadline after which the dogs would be put down if they could not be placed, it broke her heart. Tears welled up in her eyes but she just blinked them away as fast as she could.

This was terrible news and she prayed that each of these dogs would find a new owner in time. While Ronnie and the lady talked, Haley kept walking. She passed a kennel that looked empty at first as most of the dogs were playing with each other, but then she saw a small curled up grey patch. "Hey Buddy." She whispered softly and she smiled broadly as the little dog lifted his head and looked at her. His tail started to wiggle and she crouched down and held her hand out to the dog. "Come on, I'm all love." She said and made a few "psst" noises. The little ball of fur straightened up, stretched once and came carefully to Haley. First he sniffed her hand, then he let her pet him and finally he barked with a wagging tail and Haley couldn't help but laugh. "He doesn't do that to anyone else." She heard suddenly behind her and she looked back. The little one was now bouncing up her thigh and Haley let herself fall onto her bottom. "He's so cute." She beamed and scrunched his head while sending air kisses his way. "He is. But unfortunately, he's one of those cases." Haley knew immediately what she meant and this time she couldn't hold it in, tears came to her eyes. Sadly, she looked at the little one, who barked at her again and licked her wet cheek. He made her giggle, but her heart was still broken. "Love, can you believe it? He is to be put down, as so many sadly have to?" She sat cross-legged on the floor with the dog in her lap and Haley sobbed bitterly.

"Ronnie that's not fair." She continued to complain when suddenly her mobile phone rang. It was a Facetime call from her father.

"Hey dar-, oh my god, what happened? Are you okay?"
"Yeah I'm fine." Haley sniffled, wiping tears from her face.
"Dad, look at him." She pointed her camera at the dog in her lap
"They have to put him down because no one will adopt him." Haley continued to sob, unable to speak.
"Take him with you."
"Dad, what?"
"Take him with you, Haley."
"But what about Mom?"
"Let me worry about that. Anyway I called to let you know we met Marcus and Mary just by chance. I don't know if you can remember. They are form Ireland and they would love to see you again. You both should come to see us, I'll send you the location"

𝐁𝐚𝐫𝐤𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐋𝐎𝐋 𝐒𝐡𝐞𝐥𝐭𝐞𝐫

𝐀 𝐰𝐞𝐞 𝐛𝐢𝐭 𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐬𝐤𝐢𝐫𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐨𝐰𝐧 𝐒ã𝐨 𝐏𝐚𝐮𝐥𝐨, 𝐁𝐫𝐚𝐳𝐢𝐥

As soon as Ronnie took off the blindfold that was around Haley's eyes, his girlfriend let out a squeal of delight when she saw the golden fur that was in her arms. "Look, Ronnie, he looks like you!"The girl said as she laughed and nuzzled the fluffy fur of the golden retriever pup. Ronnie could not help to let out a chuckle.

A lot of people had compared him to the dog but never literally say it to his face before. The boy knows that his redhead princess meant well, so Ronnie did not take offense to her saying. As soon as Haley lowered the golden pup into the ground and Ronnie opened the back door of the shelter, the golden pup ran. "Woah! look at him go!"Ronnie smiled from ear to ear.

As they walked up to where the retreat area for the dogs to play around, loud barkings filled the room. Some wagged their tails furiously but some just looked at the pair with curious eyes. A short walk later, they arrived at the dog's playpens. A few dozen of dogs ran around and play with each other.

"You just in time!"One of the shelter staff that oversees all the dogs' play around looked at both Haley and Ronnie. "It is always a delight to see faces after Charismas. It gives us hope,"The staff told Ronnie in Portuguese. As Ronnie talk to the shelter staff and told Haley there were a bunch of toys that the dogs can play with, the Hogwarts student grab a ball and throw it to the dogs.

Some of the dogs just looked at her confusedly but there are some who are reactive to Haley's command. Ronnie talk to the shelter staff a bit before he jumped into the fray. Ronnie grabbed some toys that he could bring into his arms and sat at the corner of the retreat area. He was barely seated down on the ground and was immediately assaulted by some of the dogs that were eager to play with him.

"Woah, woah! back it off, guys!"Ronnie said in Portuguese. The boy let out joyous laughter and pushed away the dogs that surrounded him gently. Ronnie did not know which dog licks his cheeks but all he knows he had a great time with the dogs and the fun was not even began yet. Ronnie then grabbed one of that tug and war ropes that you could play with the dogs.

The tall boy then bites the end of the rope and goes on all fours on the floor. He shakes the rope that was hanging by his mouth furiously. One of the dogs started to grab the other end of the rope and play with him. For quite some time Ronnie play tug and war with the dog until his jaw goes numb and he let go of the rope.

Ronnie massaged his aching jaw and looked at Haley who held her phone in her hand. She type something on her phone before she put it away and concentrated back on the dogs. The Brazilian boy rolled around on the floor and when he was lying on the floor, some dogs bounded up to him and started to attack with licking and playful bites.

Ronnie could not help to let out a loud laugh as the licking of the dogs tickles him. The pair played with some dogs some more until the shelter staff offered them a tour of the place. Ronnie seated up from his position and stood up. He bend down and pet all the dogs he could pet. "I will be back, guys!"The Duellist said to the dogs and the dogs immediately resumed playing on their own.

As the shelter staff brings the pair around for the shelter tour. Ronnie's blue-grey eyes take a quick glance at the many kennels the shelter has. Some were emptied with a sign 'Adopted' hanging on the empty kennel's door. The shelter staff had explained to the young couple that it was always a huge success when they managed to place dogs and as soon as one of the dogs was placed, the free space in the shelter was immediately given to a new dog.

But that was not always the case. Since sheltering dogs had their own problem and not enough space, the unlucky ones needed to be put down when they were not adopted to make space for new dogs to come in. Ronnie's heart broke at the reality. Those poor innocent dogs just need love and people who are willing to take them home and gave them a chance to be a part of their families.

As the shelter staff explained some more to Ronnie, from the corner of his eyes, it seems his beloved amor's attention caught on something. She crouched down and called out softly to the little curled-up grey patch that sleeping in the corner. From where both Ronnie and the shelter staff stood, both of them paid attention to the exchange.

The little bundle of grey fur lifted up his head and looked at Haley. As soon as the little one knows that Haley means no harm, he started to get up, walked to Haley carefully, and wiggles his tail. When the small dog let out a bark, the shelter staff let out amazement. Ronnie asked why she reacted that way.

"He doesn't do that to anyone else. Normally, he just looked at people that passed by and go back to his nap. At first, we thought he did not take interest in his surroundings or perhaps he is the shy one. He is the last of his litter and we almost lost hope for him until you came along,"The shelter staff explained.

"Well, more precisely, your girlfriend. She is something special, isn't she?"The lady said as she and Ronnie continued to watch the interaction between Haley and the little bundle of joy. Ronnie nodded his head when the staff lady called Haley special. Haley then called the grey dog cute and the shelter staff said to her that the grey pup on of the case that if he did not get adopted, the shelter had no other choice than put him down.

"Love, can you believe it? He is to be put down, as so many sadly have to ?"She sat cross-legged on the floor with the dog in her lap and Haley sobbed bitterly. Ronnie's heart broke all over again because he is sad that the poor little innocent dog will be put down and because his girlfriend was crying her eyes out.

"Ronnie that's not fair"Haley continued to complain to her Duellist of a boyfriend. Then Haley's phone rang out. A voice belonging to David could be heard from the speakerphone. Ronnie left Haley to it. The shelter lady then asked Ronnie if he was interested in adopting one. Ronnie nodded his head and told the shelter lady to bring him to the 'rejected dogs' side.

A short walk later, both Ronnie and the shelter lady arrived at the quiet side of the kennels. Some of the kennels had been cleared out but many still had residents in them. Ronnie walked around as the shelter lady explained some more until his eye landed on a brown dog with big round eyes. The Duellist asked what is its name and what's the story behind the dog.

"His name is Leo. Leo used to have a loving family but since he is now an old dog and often time got skin diseases, his old owner dumped him in front of our shelter one night,"The lady explained to the boy. Ronnie crouched down and looked at Leo with sad eyes. "Hey boy!"Ronnie called out to the brown dog softly. Leo looked at Ronnie for a bit but then continued on his nap.

Ronnie then asked the staff permission to enter the kennel. The staff opened the door and Ronnie sat on the floor patiently until Leo came to him. As Ronnie waited for Leo to come, he whistled softly. It seems Ronnie's whistle did the trick. Leo slowly bounded up to the Castelobruxo student and curled up on his lap.

"Today is really a Christmas miracle,"The lady exclaimed. Ronnie smiled up at the lady while petting Leo's fur softly. Ronnie then decided he wanted to adopt Leo. And so he told the shelter lady. Before Ronnie brings Leo to the front desk, his eyes caught the sight of Blue Merle Australian Sheperd. The shelter lady told the story behind the Aussie Sheperd, Ronnie did not have the heart to leave her behind.

And so, on the same day, the boy decided that one dog was not enough. Once the ordeal of adoption papers was done, the shelter staff gave both Haley and Ronnie their respective dogs' essentials need. Inside a medium size carry-on bag consists of blankets, leashes, snacks, and some toys. In exchange for the freebies, the staffs ask for them to make a donation or be one of their volunteers.

Ronnie signed for both of them and give a generous amount of donation to last for the next year's round. The staff then said thank you for both of the young couple's kind hearts as both Haley and go home with their dogs. Because of the lack of sleep, Ronnie had the other night, he felt exhausted. And the day has not even ended yet.

"Where to next?"The boy inquired his dream girl. Haley then tells Ronnie that her parents told them to meet at some family friend's house. Hales told Ronnie the location of the house and some train ride stop later they arrived at the house. "You sure they will be okay if we bring dogs here?"Questioned the Portuguese boy.

"If not, I can take these guys back home and come back as soon as possible,"Ronnie gave out the alternative. It will be a long train ride since the Ramírez household is located on the other side of the town. Ronnie did not think he could make the journey and not feel exhausted traveling back and forth.

As the Castelobruxo student waits for his girlfriend to answer his inquiry, Ronnie let out a yawn and he already can feel his eyes grow heavy.

Never, never, never did Haley think she would be a proud dog owner at the end of that day. But it was as if Ronnie had fatefully brought Haley and her new buddy together. Not only was this day a successful surprise, this day brought a new family member to the Rose family and two to the Ramirez family. Haley's body was almost exhausted from all the emotions. First she was happy and having fun with all the dogs, then dead sad and suddenly happy again when she was told to take him with her. It was hard to process everything in such a short time and while Haley waited with the little grey ball of fur on her arm until the lady had done everything, she looked into the blue eyes of her little happiness. The lady asked Haley what name she would like to give her new faithful companion. Being a puppy and not having been in a family yet, he didn't have a real name yet, just various nicknames from the shelter staff. Haley looked into his blue eyes again and thought for a moment. "Sky." It gave her all of a sudden and it just felt right.

After they had done everything the two new dog owners walked to the train to meet her parents. As Ronnie walked two dogs and Haley walked one dog on a leash she couldn't help but laugh. "Mi amor, I can't believe it. We just gave three dogs homes and saved them from dying." It was the first time she'd called him mi amor, but she'd loved the sound since she'd first heard it from Ronnie. "And don't worry, Marcus and Mary love dogs. God, I can't believe I'm going to meet them both again after so many years. I honestly hardly remember the last time i saw them, I was so young but in Ireland they had a huge farm. Horses, cows, pigs, sheep, dogs and cats. I loved it there as you can imagine. I bet they don't mind three dogs."

After the two arrived at the location Haley's father had sent her earlier, Haley rang the doorbell. There was no name on it, but her father had already given her a heads up, as it was a holiday rental. The door was opened by a brown haired woman, Mary. "Oh my god, I can't believe it. Is that Haley Rose? God, look at you!" Mary spread her arms and pulled Haley into a tight hug. "I'm about to cry, you've gotten so big." Mary left Haley in her arms for a few more seconds. Haley giggled into her t-shirt, "And you quite small." She joked. Mary released the hug and continued to hold Haley by her shoulders, examining her up and down once. "And still as sassy as ever, I see."

Mary now turned to Ronnie with her warm smile, "And you must be the charming boyfriend." She held out her hand to him and introduced herself as Mary. Of course her parents had been talking about Haley and Ronnie, it really didn't surprise her one bit. Mary now turned her attention to the dogs. "I already heard you were coming with one dog, but three? Your mother will fall off her chair." It was a joke and at the same time not, her mother would probably really react like that. "Don't worry, two belong to Ronnie." Haley allayed Mary, who was in the process of petting all three. "How did my mother react?" asked Haley cautiously now, before she would have to face her. Mary stood back up and laughed, "Don't worry, your dad has everything under control."

The two of them including the dogs followed Mary through the yard to the house. They walked around the house via a small path that led across the garden. There was a large garden, a pool and a large terrace where they saw Marcus and her parents. "Bloody hell, is that Haley Rose?" Marcus stood up from his chair and his mouth dropped open. "Marcus Language!" admonished David to his old friend, trying to stifle a grin. "Hell yeah!" replied Haley laughing. "HALEY!" her father now admonished her, no longer stifling his grin.

Marcus and Haley jogged towards each other, god, only now did she realise how much she had missed both of them. The two met in a hug as well. "You look amazing." Greeted Marcus, the little girl who was no longer the little girl. "How quickly time flies. It feels like just yesterday you were running around the pasture with the horses." Haley missed Ireland, she missed her family, friends, surroundings, everything. She really hoped that the Rose family would go on another Ireland holiday soon. But now she was meeting a little bit of Ireland here in Brazil. These coincidences were impossible and yet they were true.

Marcus introduced himself to Ronnie and led them both to the terrace, where they were all seated in a large and comfortable lounge. Haley's direct path was to her mother. Her gaze was cautious and radiated a "I can't help it." But as Mary had mentioned, her father had everything under control and it seemed her mother was quickly taking sky to her heart as well.

Haley plopped down next to Ronnie, who was yawning more and more often and infecting the redhead. "It looks like someone needs a nap. Come on, I'll take you to the guest room." Without rejoinder they followed Marcus, a nap was really badly needed. Once they were in the guest room, Marcus wished them both a good night and closed the door behind him. The room contained a large wardrobe as well as a large bed in the middle of the room. Otherwise, it was decorated with some plants, lamps and pictures. A typical guest room or better holiday apartment room.

Haley didn't even have a chance to look but her lovely boyfriend had already fallen onto the bed. She giggled, took off her shoes and lay down next to him. It didn't take long for the yawning boy to become one with closed eyes and soft even breathing. She looked at him for a moment and again it all felt like a dream. Carefully, she pulled out her phone and took a picture of herself giving Ronnie a kiss. She would print it out when she got a chance and give it to him as a souvenir. She snuggled into his arms, trying not to wake him, and after a few minutes she too was asleep.

Haley spent the next few days with her parents, meeting up with Marcus and Mary a few more times. In the meantime, Ronnie had obtained a mobile phone, although the exchange of messages still caused some difficulties. For one thing, Ronnie could only use the mobile outside the house because it didn't work there. Moreover, he didn't know how to use it, but it was funny to see him trying to operate the item.

On the 29th, the two met in the park and Haley gave Ronnie a private lesson in "how to operate this weird muggle device that's actually not that weird."

The afternoon was filled with lots of laughter, exasperation on Ronnie's side, some pictures, jokes, kisses. They didn't have to do anything special to have a great day and the time with the blue-grey-eyed boy flew by far too quickly. Of course Sky and his two friends were with them in the park and Haley tried to teach him the first commands in English. But mostly she played with him, or he lay curled up in her lap while Ronnie didn't understand how Haley had just changed the camera view on his phone.

The next day, Haley spent a relaxing day at the beach with her parents. She had made a bet with her mother. Her mother said that the water was too cold for Haley and that she would never go into the sea. Haley bet against it and the girl was competitive. She sent Ronnie a quick note inviting him to spend the day with the Rose family if he wanted to join.

Later, of course, she won the bet. Without thinking any further, she just ran towards the sea, her bare feet gliding over the sand, her long hair blowing in the flying wind and as soon as she hit the first wave, she closed her eyes and forced her body to keep running. "Aaaah." She shouted and laughed. She dived under and the sudden coldness of the water made her pulse race. She stayed for a few minutes before saving herself in the warmth of a towel. "I won." She remarked with a wink "And I'm warm." Countered her mother with a laugh.

By evening they were back at the hotel and after they had dinner together, Haley sent her boyfriend another message. Her parents would be celebrating New Year's with Marcus and Mary and knowing their daughter, they knew she would naturally prefer to celebrate with Ronnie. So Haley pulled out her mobile phone and typed a quick message.

"Mi amor, my parents are celebrating New Year's Eve with Mary and Marcus. What do you have planned? We're spending the evening together, right? My parents just want to know if I can stay the night with you or if they should pick me up. Give me a shout back.
xx Hales."

Haley then put her phone aside and quickly her body fell into a deep sleep. The next morning she skipped breakfast, it was New Year's Eve and she would have to manage to stay awake late. She hoped that Ronnie had already answered her. She would still have to pick out an outfit, but she didn't know what exactly they were going to do yet. As soon as she was smarter, she would have lunch with her parents before planning her outfit and then get ready in time, as the evening came sooner than she expected.

𝐒ã𝐨 𝐏𝐚𝐮𝐥𝐨, 𝐁𝐫𝐚𝐳𝐢𝐥

On the way towards the next location both the young couple will visit, Haley had explained that her family friends of the redhead father's would not mind if the teens brought not only one but two other dogs alongside with the student. Haley also told the tall boy what kind of animals Haley grew up with back when she was little in Ireland. "Ireland sounds lovely,"The boy beamed.

Ronnie tried to stay awake during the train ride until they arrived at their next destination. Once Haley rang out the doorbell of the holiday rental house, both Haley and Ronnie waited patiently until the front door was open. While waiting, Ronnie could not help to glance at the girl that stood beside him.

You are so beautiful and you do not know it the Duellist thought to himself and gathered Haley in a side-hug manner then kissed his girlfriend on the side of her head. The door then finally opened and reveal a woman with brown hair. The woman greeted Haley with delight. Both Haley and the woman exchanged friendly banter which makes the Portuguese boy smile.

One out of two hosts of the house then addresses Ronnie. The woman with brown hair addressed Ronnie as the 'charming boyfriend'. She then introduced herself as Mary. "It's Ronnie and a pleasure to meet you, ma'am"Ronnie reply to the woman as he shook Mary's hand. As both Marry and Ronnie exchanged small introductions, both Leo and Luna seated patiently beside Ronnie's feet while waiting to be invited to the house.

Haley then asked the woman how her mother reacted to the news that Haley adopted and bring a dog to the holiday rental house. Mary explained something to Haley but Ronnie did not pay much to it since he could feel his head buzzing because of the lacked sleep he had. Mary then lead the young couple toward a small path that led across the garden.

Once they cross the path; there were a large garden, a pool, and a large terrace. Ronnie's blue-grey eyes then landed on Haley's parents with a man that the boy assumed was Marcus. Just like Mary did, her husband - Marcus - also greeted his princess with joy. Both the man and Haley seem to get swept down memory lane as both of them talked about how Haley grew up back in Ireland.

Ronnie listened to the conversation while trying to stifle his yawn. The man then introduced himself to Ronnie as Marcus. "It's Ronnie, sir,"The Castelobruxo student said with a dimpled smile on his face. When the pleasantries were done, Marcus led them both to the terrace, where they were all seated in a large and comfortable lounge.

Ronnie smiled at Haley's parents. "It is always a pleasure to meet you, David and Stephanie,"The Duellist addressed the older couple. The boy still feels weird calling Haley's parents by their names but for the time being, Ronnie did not think too much about it. The Duellist then blinked his eyes to chase away the sleep but it was a futile attempt as he yawn and yawn even more.

"Excuse my manner,"Ronnie said. He did not want to look like he was a rude boy by yawning in front of the older couples. "Had a fight with my brother and my brother being who he is, it cost me my sleep,"The Brazilian said as he let out a tired sigh. Along the train ride toward where both Marcus and Mary stayed, Ronnie had explained to Haley the altercation he had with Venice the night before and thus it drained his energy.

It seems his yawning infected his girlfriend as well since now Haley also did what Ronnie had done for the last couple of minutes. "It looks like someone needs a nap. Come on, I'll take you to the guest room"Marcus said to both Haley and Ronnie. Ronnie took off the leashes that attached to both Leo and Luna so they can play around the garden while waiting for Ronnie to have a bit of shut eyes.

Marcus then takes the young couple to where the guest bedroom is located. Once the door of the guest opened and Ronnie's eyes fell on the bed, his brain screaming at him to have a bit of rest. Ronnie made a beeline toward the bed. He took off his shoes and crawled into the bed. When he plopped down on the bed, it did not take long for the boy to become one with the bed and he was out like a light switch.

When Ronnie opened his eyes again, the day had already turned to dusk then he grabbed both Leo and Luna. The boy thanks Marcus and Mary's hospitality, say goodbye to the Roses, and promises Haley that he will inform Haley about his New Year's plan with his girlfriend. Some train ride later, the boy finally arrived at his own home.

His father is nowhere to be seen but the rest of his siblings are seating around the family living room. At the sight of the two dogs that Ronnie brought with him, Izzy ran up to Luna and hug the black and white fur dog's neck, squeezed the dog gently, and let out a squeal of happiness about how cute and pretty the dog is.

Alex crouched down to pet Leo's head. While Venice only looked at Ronnie from where he was seated and pretty much still gave his youngest brother a cold shoulder.

For the next few days after the last time Ronnie had met up with Haley, Enzo asked for Ronnie's assistance at their family restaurant. The name of the restaurant is Fatia de Casa, Slice of Home. The restaurant used to belong to Ronnie's mother but ever since both his parents split up, his father took over the ownership.

His mother moved back to her hometown which is Rio de Janeiro and build the second branch of the same restaurant name. Fatia de Casa is a well-known around São Paulo area. Whereas the Rio branch is your average Portuguese family restaurant, the one in São Paulo is a tad bit different. At the São Paulo branch, there is a secret specialty of the restaurant.

For possible International guests that will dine in at the restaurant, they could order their hometown cuisine. To be able to obtain this service, they need to fill out the form that was provided by the restaurant website. Once they filled out the form, Fatia de Casa crew will serve it to your heart contain.

Ronnie had just finished his shift at the restaurant. During his break, if he was not attending Hogwarts summer camp or he spent it abroad, he worked at the restaurant as a part-time employee. On the day of the Christmas gift-giving with his family, Alex had brandished him a muggle phone. "To make the communication between you and Haley way much easier and faster than an owl"Shea said.

"How to use it, I think Haley could teach you the work and I already put Haley's digit in there,"She added some more. And so, once he was done with his shift, still dressed in his work clothes, Ronnie returned back home to grab both Leo and Luna. A short walk later, the three of them met with Haley and Sky at the local park.

Haley taught the tall boy how to operate the weird muggle device and in exchange, once Haley failed to teach Sky his first command in English, Ronnie had taught Haley how to say 'come, sit, lay down, paw,' and other basic commands you could teach to a dog in Portuguese. The time he spent with his loving girlfriend was never a dull moment and Ronnie could not help to fall deeper for the redhead beauty all over again.

It was the last hurrah before the old year turn into a new one For the last two days, Ronnie has had help his father around the restaurant to prepare in the wake of the new year. He never felt dead tired in his life besides those last two days of the remaining of the old year.

Yesterday, when Haley texted him to ask what was his plan to celebrate New Year, the tall boy had told Haley that he will celebrate it with the same local boys he used to play beach football with and watch the fireworks goes boom at the beach. He also invited Haley to watch the sunrise with him when the new year celebration was over.

Ronnie already had asked his father on the same day if Haley could stay the night at his home. Enzo nodded his head and only implemented that Haley will sleep in the guest room when she comes over. Ronnie straight away texts Haley back and told his girlfriend to dress casually. A few hours later after the last preparation at the restaurant was over and he was no longer needed, Ronnie returned back home.

Some minutes later, Ronnie was already on the way back to the hotel where Haley stayed. Dressed in a dark green polo shirt, black short pants, and on his feet a pair of sandals. As the pair walked to the same beach where Ronnie brought Haley for the first time, the major street of São Paulo had been closed in preparation for the countdown.

While waiting for the fireworks to begin and to burn the anticipation, as usual, Ronnie and the local boys burned their energy by playing some beach football. As the hours and minutes go by, a lot of street vendors hang by the side of the promenade beach walk. Both of the students try as much as local food they could eat.

And when it is a few hours before the countdown, Ronnie had saved a spot where both of them could see the firework clearly when it's adorned the night sky. The euphoria of greeting the new year had been ringing all throughout the street. People blow their party trumpets, some play with air horns, and some other things that make the new year more festive.

"Come on, love the fireworks about to start!"Ronnie is half-yell above the noise. In his hands, there were two rolls of burritos that he plan to give to Haley as both the student watched the fireworks adorning the night sky as all of the people around the beach began the countdown. Ronnie checks the clock on his phone and it shows only a mere seconds more the old year will turn into its new leaves.

"5..4..3..2..1.. HAPPY NEW YEAR!"All the people that hang around the beach yell at once in joyous tones and happiness as they left the old year behind. As the fireworks crackle above the sea and adorn the night sky, the Duellist turned into his girlfriend. For the first time, he celebrated welcoming the new year with someone he loves.

If someone had told him last year that he had a girlfriend and celebrated the new year with the said girlfriend, he would not believe them. But here he was seating at the beach with Haley by his side with his local buddies and some bunch of other strangers around him. Ronnie turned his head as the fireworks still lit up the sky and once in a while Haley's face lit up too.

He could not still believe that the girl beside him is his girlfriend. Ronnie leaned a bit toward Haley. He smiled at the girl and plant a New Year kiss on the redhead's lips. "Happy New year, mi amor. I love you!"Ronnie said and kissed his girlfriend again. And when Haley was done with her own things she wanted to say to the tall boy, one of the local boys shakes Ronnie's shoulders furiously.

The boys gave their quick hugs and said Happy New Year to each other. As the celebration welcoming the new year dwindle down and the beach was not as packed as the last few hours, Ronnie looked out to the horizon.

"It will be a waste if we go home now. How about we watch the sunrise together then if we felt tired, we could go rest for a bit at my home. How's that sound, amor?"The boy inquired his girlfriend, intertwined their fingers, and lay his head on Haley's shoulder while waiting for the sun rise on the horizon side by side.

Something causal. Haley thought for a moment. They would spend the evening at the beach, if the boys would let her, then she would play football. Haley decided on a pair of light blue skinny jeans, white sneakers and a white hoodie. She wore her hair down in her waves and wore a hair tie on her wrist just in case. She packed a small bag with the essentials to spend the night out and before leaving the hotel, she took her parents into a tight hug. "Have a lovely evening and give my love to Marcus and Mary. Thank you so much for this holiday."

When Haley left the building, her boyfriend was already waiting for her and she grinned widely. Their path led them to the beach they had visited on the first day and she could still remember most of the faces of Ronnie's friends. She greeted them all and while the boys could hardly wait to play football again, the redhead walked along the beach with bare feet. She put her hands in her trouser pockets, the wind blew through her long hair and she enjoyed the smell of the salt water, of freedom, in her nose. She stopped and let the moment sink in, she was grateful. The cold water tickled her toes and she came back to the moment. She pulled out her phone, took some pictures, messaged her friends and giggled as she exchanged messages in her girls group.

Some time had passed when Haley moved back to the boys. Again, she paused for a moment, always a slight smile on her lips. The boys were running wildly back and forth, passing the ball to each other, cheering or swearing. Most of the time her eyes were on Ronnie, of course. She adored him so much and would never get enough. She put her shoes back on and walked to the pitch. "Guys, is it okay if I join?" she asked the crowd, hoping for a yes, of course. Once a decision was made, she would join one of the teams or find a comfortable spot in the sand and watch and cheer them on.

Later that night, Haley marvelled at the bustling city. From everywhere she could hear and notice party trumpets, air horns and people celebrating. She loved it and started dancing to the music. She spun around laughing before taking Ronnie's hand again and walking along the promenade. She would have loved to stop at every street food stall, but there was no way she had that much room in her stomach. So she listened to Ronnie's recommendations and tried to taste as much of all the goodies as possible.

Haley followed Ronnie to the spot he had chosen for the two of them and it was perfect. She took a seat next to him and leaned her head against his shoulder. She had a perfect view of the starry sky, thus the best conditions for the fireworks. Haley couldn't believe that in a few seconds a new year would break in, but she was looking forward to it. It felt like her time was coming. As if the coming year would be her year to bring many things and most of all positive things. No matter what was to come, she had the boy beside her and that was all she needed to know that it was going to be a good time. She looked to the side and looked at that very boy. She loved him.

A few seconds before the New Year began, hundreds of people began a countdown and with bright eyes, Haley looked up at the night sky. "HAPPY NEW YEAR!" she joined in, laughing out loud. The joy in the voices, in the shouting was felt all over the beach and it was a wonderful moment as the loud bangs went off and the sky decorated itself in many beautiful colours. The fireworks were incredible, the sky was littered and the colours were reflected below them in the sea. It was simply dreamlike.

But as beautiful as this sight was, there was one thing that nothing and no one would be able to beat and so her eyes wandered to the most beautiful one for her. There she looked into Ronnie's eyes, who was looking at her. She smiled at him and his beautiful face was lit up by the bright colours of the fireworks. She returned his kiss, and the next and then she gave him another before she stayed with her forehead against his and began to speak softly "Mi amor, this night is perfect." She leaned back and looked into the blue-grey eyes she had fallen so deeply in love with. "You are perfect. With you, I'm completed." Haley might not always find the right words and maybe she was much more known for her funny, sassy and crazy ways. But she also had another side, a side that spoke her feelings and found just the right words.

"I am so grateful that you came into my life. It's as if fate sent you to me at just the right moment. I am so grateful for the time with you, for the fact that my parents and I spent this great time here in Brazil. The thought of soon being away from you again breaks my heart. However, I couldn't have imagined a better way to start this new year. Verona Carlito Andréas Ramirez, I love you with all my heart. I didn't know it was possible to love like this, but through you I have come to know."

She cupped his face between her hands and pressed her full lips to his. She loved the feeling of their soft lips meeting and every time she did, she didn't want to break that connection. The kiss was passionate and after they released, she repeated her words. "I love you."

Once Haley had also wished the others a Happy New Year, Haley agreed to the idea to stay on the beach and wait for the sunrise. "That sounds perfect." She replied with a smile and took his hand in hers. The beach was getting emptier, but the couple in love was alive at that moment. They both sat on the beach, the birds seemed to be slowly waking up, every now and then one could be seen flying over the wide sea on the horizon. At some point Haley had laid down on her side, her head in Ronnie's lap and with her one hand she held his and played dreamily with it. Sometimes she placed soft kisses on it, sometimes she ran her fingers along his knuckles and then interwined her fingers with his again. The sea in front of them was calm, small waves took their course in sync until they gently hit the beach and the surface of the water began to get lighter. The sun began to rise and Haley wished the moment would last forever.

On the way to Ronnie's home, Haley felt like Ronnie after the day at the dog shelter. Every few minutes she put her hand in front of her mouth and yawned. Once they finally arrived, the girl disappeared into the bathroom and got ready as quickly as she ever had. She pulled a pair of shorts and T-shirt from her backpack. "If I'm not in a bed right now, I'll fall asleep while I'm standing." She joked, but it was more the truth than a joke.

Ronnie took her to the guest room, the bed looked so cosy and soft and she couldn't wait to disappear into the land of dreams. "Good night." She yawned and gave Ronnie one last kiss. "Mi amor." Haley dropped into bed with the words and crawled under the covers. She looked up at her boyfriend one last time and smiled at him in love, "I miss you already." Her eyes fell closed and Ronnie would go to his room. The bed felt far too big and empty, she wished Ronnie was lying by her side. She missed the feel of his closeness, his gentle kisses, his arm around her torso.

To her relief, the girl was so tired that she was able to fall asleep anyway and in just a few minutes her breathing slowed.

Another year had gone by and it feels surreal for the tall boy. All the things he had experienced in the last year felt like a dream for him. Ronnie thought for the rest of the remaining days of 2022 he will spend it surrounded by his friends and family like he always did whenever the old year turns into a new one. He never thought in the last month of the year 2022 he will have a girlfriend much less celebrate the new year with said girlfriend in his beloved hometown.

Meeting Haley Rose is like a dream. A dream he did not want to wake up from but his reality was way better than his dreams. His reality was filled with joy, laughter, and kisses, and the most surprising thing was he adopted not only one but two dogs and he gave them love and a home. The Duellist was grateful immensely toward Cash. If they never talk about the people they consider their found family, Ronnie never met Haley.

It was really taken out from one of those romance movies. Where the boy meets the girl, the boy had a big crush on the girl, their budding romance is blossoming into some sort of a beautiful love story. Ronnie never imagine he could be those lucky ones who could find his love at such a young age. If people deemed his romance with Haley a puppy love, so be it. As long as he is happy with his dream girl and Haley feels the same way, that was all really matters.

When Haley came out from the hotel building wearing practically something casual, Ronnie smiled at his girlfriend. When other boyfriend demanded their girlfriend to dress pretty, Ronnie would never put that kind of pressure on Haley unless it is a formal one. Dress in almost all white except her jeans, Haley looks like an angel.

The boy then grabbed Haley's overnight back in one hand and his other hand hold his girl's hand. Ronnie loves the fact that Haley is just effortlessly beautiful. Just like the first time Ronnie brought the redhead beauty onto the beach, Ronnie's beach football mates greet him but this time his football buddies greet his girlfriend too.

Hales returned the gesture. While Ronnie straightaway jumped into the action of playing some beach football to burn away the angst and anticipation of the new year to come, Haley walked around the beach just like the first time she visited the beach. Not long before that, Haley walked up to the group of boys.

She asked whether she can join the game. The boys eagerly said yes in both English and Portuguese. "You can take my position if you want,"Ronnie said to his girlfriend and kissed her cheek. As Haley took on the pitch, Ronnie sat down on the picnic blanket that his beach football mates had kindly laid for him.

A loud cheer and joyous laughter can be heard from the small group of teens that play around. His princess is not only beautiful but also full of surprises. Who knows his girl is agile on his feet. As one of the boys called out for Ronnie, the Duellist shook his head. "You got ahead. I am beaten,"Ronnie let out a faux tired heavy sigh.

Some hours had gone by and the pair already tried as much street food they could stomach along the beach walk promenade, with two burrito rolls in his hand, the young couple returned back to their designated spot. Haley then rests her head on the boy's shoulder. Ronnie smiled as he felt the pressure on his shoulder and looked down to where Haley's head was lying.

The boy bend down and could not help to plant a small kiss on Haley's forehead. "I adore you more than you know,"The boy said softly. As the pair wait for the countdown and the fireworks to begin in a few hours more. Ronnie looked out to the sea. The gentle breeze, the smell of sea air, and the sound of waves crashing into the shore, all make the moment that Ronnie shared with Haley perfect.

As dusk turned to night and the chaotic sound of pre-celebration to welcome the new year could be heard along the busy beach and street, Ronnie wondered what his other family doing to celebrate the new year. He is happy and one of the reasons for his happiness was seated beside him and Ronnie would not change it for the world.

The shout of happy new year and people either hugging or sharing kisses with their loved one aroud them, makes the Castelobruxo boy's heart feel full. He never thought his heart could feel this full. As the fireworks still scattered across the sky and Ronnie had said what he need to be said to Haley, the pair shared their kisses on the new year.

Haley then leaned her forehead against Ronnie's. "Mi amor, this night is perfect. You are perfect. With you, I'm completed"The girl said with so much love and sincerity Ronnie felt like he wanted to cry. The Duellist blinked his eyes to press down his tears of joy. "You are the perfect one here, my love. You are more than just my dream girl. You are my everything,"The boy replied in Portuguese.

"I am so grateful that you came into my life. It's as if fate sent you to me at just the right moment. I am so grateful for the time with you, and for the fact that my parents and I spent this great time here in Brazil. The thought of soon being away from you again breaks my heart. However, I couldn't have imagined a better way to start this new year. Verona Carlito Andréas Ramírez, I love you with all my heart. I didn't know it was possible to love like this, but through you, I have come to know"His girlfriend launched a beautiful speech.

This time around Ronnie could not hold back his tears of happiness much longer. His tears rolled down his cheeks but he smiles happily through it. "Díos mio my god, I am a mess,"The boy said as he wipe the tears that leaking from his eyes with the pad of his thumbs. Haley then said those three little words that mean so much to the boy.

"You do?"Enquire the boy as he cocked his head to the side and looked at Haley with curious eyes. Haley then cupped his face between her hands and pressed her full lips to his. The Brazilian returned the kiss. Ronnie will never get bored with Haley's kisses and will never feel enough about them.

Ronnie then proposed for the pair to stay at the beach and watch the sunrise together. Usually, the beach was not open until the wee hours, and the only special occasion was that the beach was open until the next day. As the sun slowly rose on the horizon, the moment right here he shared with Haley is more magical than any magic he had experienced.

The sun slowly rose in the air, and Ronnie feel his eyes grow heavy. He nudged Haley gently as he need to pack away all the things that he had borrowed. As the pair returned back to his home before Ronnie closed the front door, Alex slipped in. The siblings nodded their heads as an unspoken way of saying 'happy new year' and 'good morning'.

Ronnie showed Haley where the bathroom is and gave the girl a moment to change into something more comfortable. Once Haley emerged from the bathroom, Ronnie tried not to stare at the pieces of clothing that Haley chose to wear. The boy shook his foggy head and lead his girlfriend to the spare guest room.

Once the door of the guest bedroom opened, Haley kissed him again and said 'good night' to the boy. Ronnie reciprocated the kiss. The boy hanging by the door frame as he watched his girlfriend crawl into the cover. Once the boy saw his girlfriend sleep soundly on the bed, he retreated back to his own bedroom.

Ronnie's eyes fell on his bed but he had another idea. He change into his sleep attire and walked back toward where Haley slept. Slowly the boy lifted up the cover and crawled under it. Ronnie gather Haley in his arms and spooned the redhead beauty from behind. He planted a soft kiss on Haley's bare shoulder and soon Ronnie drifted off to sleep.

The next tie he opens his eyes again, he felt something soft touch his naked collarbone. His blue-grey eyes flutter open and his gaze fell into Haley's beautiful green irises. "Hey,"Ronnie greeted his girlfriend softly. He then planted a kiss on Haley's forehead, her nose, and lastly her lips. "You look beautiful and so soft in the morning,"The tall boy spoke with sleep still heavy in his voice.

"You go ahead and lay in for a bit, I need to make all of us breakfast. It is our family tradition every time the new year rolls in,"Ronnie explained. And with that, he got up from the bed and begin his steps towards where the kitchen was located. Once the Portuguese boy landed in the kitchen he started to rummage through his pantry.

He take out premix pancakes batter and started to make the mix. He did not know what kind of pancakes Haley likes so he makes four kinds of it. The original one with a side of butter and maple syrup. Pancakes that have slices of banana, raspberries, and strawberries on them. Choco chip pancakes.

And lastly, his own favorite kind, pancakes with scrambled eggs and some strips of bacon. As he makes the pancakes, he whistles away a Portuguese song in a joyous manner.

Haley was already asleep, but she noticed how her little wish came true when Verona lay down in bed with her. Happy, she smiled to sleep and reached for his arm to sleep even better in his embrace. The night passed far too quickly and when the redhead carefully opened her eyes, she could see the bright rays of the sun through the window. She blinked a few times to get used to the brightness and wiped the sleep from her eyes. Carefully, she turned around so as not to wake her still sleeping boyfriend who still had his arm around her. She had only noticed his presence in her sleep, yet she was not surprised, much more it sweetened her mood that morning.

After she had carefully turned around, she first noticed that he was only wearing trousers to sleep in and she had to suppress a giggle, it really didn't surprise her at all. A quick glance fell on his muscular chest, which had really changed since Summer Camp, before she looked into his peacefully sleeping face. She adored him and could just lie there with him for hours.

Carefully she stroked through his short hair and across his cheeks, "I love you." She whispered softly, looking at him closely before she would soon be without him again. That thought made her far too sad and so she quickly tried to think of new thoughts again, thoughts that wouldn't make her sad and so she thought of the previous evening and the smile was instantly on her lips again. In this quiet moment, when she looked at this beautiful boy in love, she realised for the first time how hard she fell for that boy. She couldn't believe it herself and almost started to giggle, but she wanted to give him some more time before he would wake up.

As she just lay in his arms, taking in his scent with every breath and cuddling with him, she didn't want this moment to end, like every moment with him. But the house seemed to be slowly waking up and she knew they would have to get up soon too. Especially if no one was to notice that Ronnie had snuck into the room with her. Carefully she kissed his nose, then gave him a kiss on his bare shoulder and then his collarbone before resting her head at the same level as his and waiting for him to slowly wake up.

"I'll help you." She replied as he addressed breakfast and while Ronnie was already making his way to the kitchen, Haley stayed in the room for a moment to prepare the bed and freshen up in the bathroom before joining him. The girl was in a good mood and since there were only two of them in the kitchen, she let it all out in the open. She sang, danced around Ronnie and teased him a little. "Okay, tell me where to find something and I'll get it all." After Ronnie gave her appropriate instructions, she did as she was told and started making one of the doughs.

In the meantime, while Ronnie was busy with another dough, she took some of the fruit that was to be cut and got to work. As soon as she was done, she stood next to Ronnie and watched him intrusively. As soon as he would look at her, she would look away again and she would repeat the whole thing just for fun a few times before nudging him again and again with her hips in time. "Am I annoying you?" she laughed and, not wanting him to get mad, she would grab some dishes and start setting the breakfast table.

Once everyone was eating breakfast together, Haley would wish everyone she hadn't told yet a Happy New Year. She would tell them about the night at the beach, the football game and the beautiful fireworks and of course the great food. Once everyone was done, Haley would help clean up again before changing. They had decided to spend the day relaxing by the pool and she loved the idea. She slipped into her bikini, went to the beautiful outdoor area of the house and lay down on one of the loungers. The night had been long and the sleep short. It wasn't long before she fell asleep with the warm rays of the sun on her skin.

She didn't know how long she had been asleep when she was suddenly and very rudely awakened by none other than Ronnie. He was standing over her, shaking his wet head and body. "HEEY!" she laughed out as she was awakened by the cold water on her warmed skin and blinked menacingly through her eyes. There he stood, laughing and warming her heart. How could she ever be mad at him? He looks so good at everything he does. His dimples came out and as much as she adored the sight, she would not let his actions go unpunished. Just as she was about to turn around and get up to take her revenge, Ronnie beat her to it.

He grabbed her, scooped her up and with a few steps he jumped into the pool with her in his arms. Her loud cry of "ROONNIE!" was choked underwater and now she was wide awake. As she surfaced she pushed her wet hair out of her face and blinked wickedly at her boyfriend. "You'll pay for that!" She quickly fought her way through the water to him, jumped around his neck, legs around his waist and tried to dunk him underwater while laughing heartily.

The two spent a fun day at the pool filled with laughter, splashing each other and threats. After the afternoon had progressed, Haley hopped in the shower before putting on something comfortable. Ronnie had suggested a movie night and she would never say no to that. After she finished showering she went to the guest room to change before going for a little walk. She called her parents and they now wished each other another Happy New Year in person, they told each other about the night before and Haley was able to persuade them to let her stay another night. Fortunately for her, they both turned a blind eye as they would be travelling back to London the next day.

After Haley came back from her walk, it was almost time for dinner again. As always, the food was fantastic. It seemed like the whole family really could cook. Haley remembered the date with Ronnie, Cash was also an excellent cook and it must really run in the family. But no wonder, Ronnie's father ran a successful restaurant and if there was one thing he could do it was cause an explosion of flavours.

While Ronnie prepared everything for the movie night, Haley went to change into something more comfortable, then made some popcorn in the kitchen and put some other snacks in bowls before joining her boyfriend in the room.

𝐒ã𝐨 𝐏𝐚𝐮𝐥𝐨, 𝐁𝐫𝐚𝐳𝐢𝐥

Ronnie was in the middle of his pancakes making preparation when he heard soft padded feet entering the kitchen. At first, the boy thought it was one of his siblings but when he saw his beautiful girlfriend walking up to him, the Castelobruxo student smiled up. "Hello, gorgeous,"Ronnie greet the redhead beauty and planted a soft kiss on her cheeks.

After the Brazilian instructed Haley on what she needed to grab and do, the duo then continued with the task at hand. Then another set of footsteps entering the kitchen "Hey, good morning!"Ronnie nodded his head when his oldest sister - Alex - and his youngest one - Izzy - were seated by the island counter. Alex asked the duo what they were making.

"Pancakes. Lots and lots of pancakes,"The boy turned around with a spatula in his hand and flash his dimpled smile to his sisters. Izzy clapped her hand enthusiastically while Alex looked at the pair softly. "Never thought one day you cooked in our kitchen with your girlfriend,"The older girl teased her brother playfully in Portuguese with her hand resting on the counter and supported her chin.

Ronnie let out a small laugh and then kiss the side of Haley's head. The pair then played a little game of seen and be seen while working over the stove. When Haley looked at the blue-grey-eyed boy and when the Duellist returned the motion, his girlfriend looked away; Ronnie let out a small chuckle and shook his head.

Haley then nudge the boy with her hips repeatedly while asking whether she annoyed him or not. Ronnie put down his spatula and set the heat to low setting. The boy then grabbed Haley's hips. He shuffled a bit closer. "You, my dear, are too adorable for our own good,"The boy said softly then planted a kiss on the green eyes' lips.

"Ugh! get a room you two,"Venice said as he entered the kitchen and made a gagging sound. Ronnie glared at his older brother. "Looking good, Hales!"The seventh-year boy pays a compliment to the sleeping attire that Halye wore the night before. Alex, being the closest to the older boy, upturned his head by slapping her hand on the back of the boy's head.

"Don't be crash and stop the leering,"The older girl admonished his brother. And soon the simple breakfast dish was served at the dining table and the five of them tucked into it while talking to each other and whatnot.

Afternoon come in a blurred. While waiting for Alex and Izzy to be done with whatever they cooked for lunch, both Haley and Ronnie found their solace by the pool, The pair changed into their swimming getup. Once the pair arrived at the pool, Haley chose to lounge around on one of the loungers.

Meanwhile, the sunshine personified who is Verona Andréas immediately jumped into the pool. Some laps later Ronnie looked at where Haley was situated. He saw his girlfriend softly breathing and looking so serene. Then a wicked idea comes into his mind. Quietly and slowly Ronnie gets out of the pool.

Wet footprints printed on the floor as the boy walked towards where his girlfriend fell asleep on the lounger. Once Ronnie stood beside the redhead beauty. The Duellist then shakes his wet head and boy. The cool droplets of water fall into Haley and it awakens her. When Haley let out a protest, Ronnie laughs heartily.

Haley thinks she got the upper hand when in reality she did not possess such things. Once the Quidditch player was about to get up, the boy moved more swiftly than her. In one single motion, the Portuguese boy scooped his princess up in his arms. And with a few steps, he brings her towards the pool.

"Everyone brace for impact,"Ronnie mimicked those stewardesses saying whenever a movie involved a plane crash. With a splash both of the students when down underwater. "ROONNIE! You'll pay for that!"The green eyes said while moving closer to the Brazilian boy. "OHH I AM SHAKING,"Ronnie uttered in a joking manner.

And when Haley started to jump around his neck and try to bring him dunked him, Ronnie knows he is in trouble. "Woah, hey! I retreated, I retreated!"Ronnie said but it was a futile attempt. Ronnie let his girlfriend dunk him and when he emerged again, he coughed up some water that somehow enter his lungs but he laugh anyway.

Before dinner rolled in and when Haley out to meet up with her parents, the trio of the Ramírez siblings was preparing for the movie night. Ronnie invite Alex and Izzy to join the couple's movie night but sadly Alex had a matter that she needed to attend to. So that leaves both Ronnie and Izzy in the Ramírez household.

Not long after that, dinner rolled in and tonight's menu is all about Italian cuisine. For Ronnie, he made himself a plat of Creamy Saffron Risotto with Celery, Leeks, and Prawns. For Izzy, he made a plate of creamy penne with smoke beef and pesto pasta. And for Haley, he will make whatever the redhead desire.

Once dinner was done, Ronnie put away the dirty dishes into the sink and will wash them after they were done with the movie night. Ronnie then retreated to his bedroom. He chose to wear a white sleeveless tank and pair it with black shorts. When all the preparation for movie night were all set up.

He checks the lineup of the movies. Aladdin, Jungle Book, Lion King, and lastly the movie marathon will be ended with the Little Mermaid. There was a knock on his bedroom and come his little sister bringing some snacks. Not long after Izzy comes into his room, his very own girlfriend brings a big bowl of popcorn to be shared between the three of them.

Once both Haley and Izzy were lying on the Brazilian bed leaving the middle part of the bed vacant so he can lay down between them, Ronnie turned around. "What movie should we watch first?"He asked the girls. "We have Aladdin, Jungle Book - which I am not sure why they read a book in a jungle in the first place -, Lion King, and lastly, the Little Mermaid,"He listed off the movies.

He waited for either Haley or Izzy to decide on the first movie of the night. When the movie had been decided, Ronnie crawled into the vacant space between his girlfriend and his sister. He lay down between them and watch as the opening credit of the movie showed up on the makeshift screen that both Alex and Ronnie had put on against the wall earlier that night.

Haley loved to spend time with Ronnie when he called her gorgeous or adorable, whispered something in Portuguese she didn't understand but knew it was something nice, or played silly little games with him in the kitchen. "Good morning you two!" she greeted the two sisters and as soon as the first pancake was ready, she would secretly give it to them to taste. The mood was good, the room filled with giggles now and then and everyone seemed to be enjoying this morning. Until another person entered - Venice. Haley couldn't help but roll her eyes.

Him calling her Hales made her cringe. "It's Haley." She corrected him and she was surprised at herself. Never before had she told anyone not to call her Hales, but this boy was driving her up the wall. "But thank you, can't return that." She Dodge his compliment and giggled when Alex gave him a slap on the back of the head. She already liked her more than she probably ever would like Venice.

While the Lovebirds spent the afternoon at the pool and Haley enjoyed a relaxing nap by the pool, her boyfriend had other ideas. The whole spectacle ended in a wild water fight and after Haley had managed to dunk Ronnie, he resurfaced coughing. She looked at him worriedly, her legs still clasped around his waist she carefully took his face in both hands. "Sorry Luv, are you okay?" she enquired with a worried look and as soon as Ronnie laughed she would press a kiss to his lips and then hug him. She was now attached to him like a koala and the redhead didn't think of letting go again. "I'm not going to let go again. You've got me by the cheek now." She giggled and planted a kiss on his neck and then rested her head on his shoulder, feeling safe in his embrace.

The evening rolled in quickly and Haley couldn't wait to start movie night with Ronnie and his youngest sister. Once all the arrangements were made, the two girls got comfortable on Ronnie's bed and the boy lay down in the middle of them. "Let's start with the little Mermaid." Haley suggested and looked to Izzy for her confirmation. Haley was sure the youngest would fall asleep quickly and so she would definitely catch the movie. "After that Jungle Book - and it hurts that you have no idea about that film. After that Lion King and Aladdin?" she suggested and it seemed everyone agreed with that.

When the first film started, Haley squinted first at Izzy, who was focused with bright eyes on the red-haired Ariel, and then at Ronnie. There her eyes lingered a little longer. She wouldn't miss anything anyway, she knew the film and it wasn't one of her top favourites, so she preferred to look at her absolute favourite. As soon as Ronnie would notice her gaze, she would look ahead again and if he would remark something, she would pretend to be clueless. "I don't know what you mean, Sebastian." She would call him by the name of Ariel's crab and chuckle softly.

As she tried to keep her gaze on the screen for the rest of the film, she would put her arm around Ronnie's torso and rest her head on his shoulder. Maybe it would even be her who would fall asleep first. But the film went by faster than she thought and next came Jungle Book. She would never fall asleep to this film and while Baloo sang, she joined him and danced in bed to the tune.

Haley loved this story, Mowgli the man cub and his best friend and papa bear Baloo.
But it wasn't to stop at that little showstopper, as soon as King Loui made his grand entrance, Haley jumped up in bed, climbed over Ronnie and grabbed Izzy's hand, pulling her off the bed with a flourish and catching her in her arms before setting her down on the floor, taking one hand in each of her own and dancing around the room with her as she sang along with King Loui.

Can learn to be humen too"

After this show was over too, they both lay back in bed laughing with Ronnie, only this time it was Izzy who lay in the middle as Haley didn't want to climb over both of them again. Just before the end of the film, she noticed the blonde girl's breathing slowing, becoming steadier and deeper. A quick glance told her she had fallen asleep. "Shh." She drew Ronnie's attention and pointed at his little sister with her gaze. Before he could get up, Haley waved him off. "I got it." She whispered softly and took the little girl in her arms. Clutching her neck in her sleep, Haley carried her to her room where she gently placed her in her bed, tucked her in and placed a kiss on her temple. "Goodnight little one." she said goodbye on tippy toes and went back to Ronnie's room. She closed the door behind her to make sure Izzy couldn't be woken up if anyone decided to sing or laugh out loud again.

Haley snuggled back into bed with Ronnie and soon they were on to movie three. Haley didn't try to avoid it, at the scene of Mufasa's death she cried silently and tried to wipe away her tears inconspicuously while she lay with her head on Ronnie's torso. But the tears were soon gone and she was sitting upright again, eating some of the popcorn and singing "Hakuna Matata". Giggling, she threw some popcorn at Ronnie in the meantime just to tease him a little again. "Open your mouth." She demanded and tried to throw popcorn into his mouth, but all it hit was his forehead, eye and nose. Haley doubled over laughing and finally she knelt in front of him and fed him a popcorn so at least one ended up in his mouth.

While maybe not everyone could handle Haley's hyper and crazy ways, Ronnie did. He wasn't annoyed by her, but called her adorable. He didn't admonish her to stop, but laughed with her no matter how much popcorn ended up in his bed. She snuggled back against his side and as she rested her head on his shoulder, she discovered a lost popcorn. Giggling, she quickly took it and popped it into her mouth, then looked up at him. She would never get tired of just looking at his beauty. The way he lay there, knowing full well that she was watching him and grinning slightly to hisself. His dimples showing and finally his grey-blue eyes looking at her. She still couldn't believe it, she hadn't processed the whole holiday and Christmas and now she was lying here and tomorrow she would have to leave again. She just looked at him and carefully she put her hand to his cheek. "I love you." She whispered and her eyes jumped back and forth between his. "With all my heart." She added even more softly before carefully bringing his face to hers so she could place a kiss on his lips. It almost felt like a goodbye, but Haley couldn't do that to herself just yet.

As soon as their lips parted, she held her gaze for a moment longer and placed many short, quick kisses all over his face. Then she put her head back on his shoulder and acted as if nothing had happened. "And now let's concentrate on Aladdin." She said with a smirk. Since Ronnie had suggested the film, she assumed he really liked it and so film number 4 began.

As soon as the Brazilian boy emerged from the water again, he coughed up a lung and his nose hurt like hell. Surprisingly for a girl with his girlfriend posture, the redhead is quite strong. Haley is a Chaser after all and to be able to play in that particular position, she needs upper body strength. Ronnie still coughed up the water out of his lungs when both of Haley's hands were on his cheeks.

"Sorry Luv, are you okay?"The girl enquired the tall boy worriedly. "Yeah, yeah. I am fine,"Ronnie said still in a fit of coughs and his voice a bit hoarse. His lungs were burning but he pushed it aside by laughing his pain away. He did not want his girlfriend to worry. What Ronnie did not expect was the kiss that Haley planted on his neck.

With a hitched breath, the Duellist looked down to where his girlfriend rested her head on his shoulder. "I'm not going to let go again. You've got me by the cheek now"The Quidditch player said. "Not sure I understand the second part of the idiom you just said but did you know what a kiss on the neck means?"Ronnie asks Haley with a raised eyebrow.

Ronnie then bends down to whisper the meaning to Haley's ears. When he has done with it, he will wait for Haley's reaction. Whatever her reaction was, Ronnie will smile fondly at the redhead and let out a small chuckle. "It is fine, mi amor, You do not know that"Ronnie then kissed the top of Haley's head which smelt like chlorine and returned her hug

Evening come by and after the trio done with their respective dinner, the trio retreat to Ronnie's room. The boy had asked which one they should watch first. Haley suggested the Little Mermaid. "Sound good to you, Iz?"The boy asked his sister in Portuguese. Izzy nodded enthusiastically with bright eyes and a broad smile.

Haley then suggested the next movie to be watched is Jungle Book. "Not everybody is privileged, love,"Ronnie said and it sound a bit hostile when he said it out loud. "What I mean to say was, we did not grow up surrounded by easy muggle access and Disney movies. I am sorry if what I said earlier is a bit harsh than what I intended"The boy said and hopefully his girlfriend knows he means no harm.

The next order movie to be watched is Lion King which will be closed with Aladdin. The duo out of two watched the movie with rapted attention. The only sound coming from inside the room was the occasionally crunched of either popcorn or snacks that had been chewed on. The Portuguese boy could sense someone watching him.

And just like what happened in the kitchen during breakfast, when Ronnie gazed at his princess, the Hogwarts student will look ahead. "Are you gonna play the weird game again just like we did during breakfast?"Ronnie asked while feeling a bit amused with Haley's antics. "I don't know what you mean, Sebastian,"She remarked.

At first, Ronnie was confused about why Haley called him Sebastian until the redhead Ariel called her crab as the name. "Are you comparing him with me?"Ronnie inquired. Izzy then looked at the teens, glared, and harshly shushed them. Ronnie let out a muffled snicker. When Haley put her head on Ronnie's shoulder and hug his torso, the boy could not help to bend down and kiss the top of Haley's head.

The hint of cinnamon, citrus, pineapple, and vanilla hit his nostrils. Ronnie inhaled deeply and could not help to fall more in love with Haley. The first movie has gone by and it was time for movie number two. When Haley jumped up in bed, climbed over him, grabbed Izzy's hand, pulling her off the bed with a flourish to have an impromptu dance with the older girl, Haley almost stepped on his feet that were buried under the cover.

"Woah, hey!"Ronnie let out a protest and rolled to the other side of the bed. It seems his little protest fell on deaf ears as both his girlfriend and sister danced around the room, having the best time of their lives. When the impromptu dance was over, the pair fell on the bed again, Ronnie let out a happy laugh, and he clapped his hands for the duo's performance.

During the film just before it ended, Haley glanced at him. Ronnie knitted his eyebrows. Within the silence, Haley pointed out that his sister had fallen asleep. Ronnie was about to move up and stopped his sister but Haley beat him to it. As the pair retread to Izzy's bedroom, Ronnie started to wonder what his future looks like with Haley in it.

The next two film the teens watched without his little sister, gave the boy a mixed feeling. Both of them had decided to watch Lion King first then Aladdin. Just like any other Disney movie, Lion King started with a cheerful note until the scene where Mufasa got chased by the horde of laughing hyenas and his supposed brother swapped him to his ultimate doom.

Ronnie feels gutted and robbed. "He died?! What gives Disney?"The boy let out an outburst. "He could not die. How rubbish!"Ronnie grabbed a handful of popcorn and chucked it into the makeshift screen. The boy then looked down on Haley where the girl laid her head on his torso. Haley wiped her eyes. "Oh love! don't cry,"Ronnie's earlier outburst suddenly dissipated at the sight Haley was crying her eyes out.

The boy then wiped Haley's tears with the pad of his thumbs. He then kissed both Haley's eyes, her nose, and lastly her lips. Ronnie could still feel the salty tears that touched Haley's lips. The next few scenes of Lion King returned back to their cheery note but it did not lessen the gutted feeling that he felt earlier until Haley commanded him to open his mouth.

Ronnie obeyed what had been prompted. His girlfriend tried to throw popcorn into his mouth but none landed inside his mouth. The popcorn hit his forehead, eyes, and nose. After a few minutes of opening his mouth wide, his jaws went numb. He massaged his aching jaws. "Are you supposed to be the great Chaser for your team? Where is your sense of aim, love?"The Duellist jabbed his girlfriend playfully.

But his girlfriend took pity on him by kneeling in front of him and fed him a popcorn. "Finally, thank you!"The boy responds in Portuguese. It seems time slowed down as the love birds looked at each other. Ronnie would never get tired of looking into Haley's gorgeous eyes. "I love you,"She said as her eyes searched his.

"With all my heart"She added even more softly before carefully bringing his face to hers so she could place a kiss on his lips. The gentleness and the way how his girlfriend said oh so sincerely, almost put the blonde-haired boy to tears. Ronnie blinked back the tears.

"Before you, I never thought I could love someone this deep and hard but you came along and change everything. You are someone that I never thought would have and I am so honored that I am your boyfriend. I love you, Haley Rose,"The boy launched a small speech. And just like in any other situation when he feels overwhelmed by emotion, the Brazilian jumped into his native language which is Portuguese.

The Duellist then looked into Haley's eyes deeply and leaned in to kiss her. He conveys all his adoration, feeling, and love into that one searing yet soft kiss. As soon as their lips parted, she held her gaze for a moment longer and placed many short, quick kisses all over his face. "Ew! you slobbered all over my face,"Ronnie let out almost a girlish giggle but he love every kisses Haley gave to him.

After the soft moment had been shared between the teens in love, it is time for the last and final movie which is Aladdin. As 'A Friend Like Me' play out on the movie screen, Ronnie jumped up from his bed and sings it at the top of his lungs. After a few minutes more, he knows by heart what song will come out.

Ronnie hurriedly jumped down from his head and tore open his wardrobe. "No peeking!"He said to Haley as he ran out of his room. Ronnie put the iconic Prince Ali's white prince custom as fast as he could. And when the song reaches the chorus, Ronnie burst the door open and slides into the room with both Leo and Luna on his tail. He quickly closed his bedroom door so it would not disturb his sister that already asleep.

While the song plays in the background, Ronnie screams the song joyously. He walked into the room puffed up his chest and there was a swagger in his steps. Leo and Lunca immediately jumped into his bed with both their tails wagging happily. Ronnie bows down like how a prince does and followed by a wink that he sent toward Haley.

Prince Ali! Handsome is he, Ali Ababwa
That physique! How can I speak
Weak at the knee
Well, get on out in that square
Adjust your veil and prepare
To gawk and grovel and stare at Prince Ali!

He jumped up and down around his room, shakes his bum, and followed every beat and words of the song. Once the song ended, Ronnie was out of breath and smiled from ear to ear. "That was quite an exercise,"He said as he fan himself with the white round hat while seating back beside his girlfriend again. A Whole New World is about to play on the screen a few moments after some scenes.

Ronnie seated up from his laying position. He then stood up on his bed with his hand stretched out towards his girlfriend. While Aladdin said 'do you trust me?' to Princess Jasmine, Ronnie said the same thing to Haley in Portuguese. The boy then sang the whole song in Portuguese while the original English version played in the background.

Ronnie always loved the song. He thinks the song sounds cute and romantic. When the song ended, he returned back to his earlier position and gather Haley in his arms. He put his arms around Haley's hips and kissed the side of her head. "I love you, cara mía, my dear"The boy said in Portuguese. Throughout the movie, Ronnie still wears his Prince Ali costume.

He also hoped that Haley did not ask him who was dressed up as Princess Jasmine. Even if Haley did ask, the boy will say it was his Duelling partner and it happened during a Halloween party a year ago back at Castelo. He will keep the half-truth to himself which is he came to the party as his Duelling partner's date.

A little white lie would not hurt the boy uttered internally as he thought there was no need to get into argument with his girlfriend on the last night before the Hogwarts student will fly back to London yet again.
