Still a bit mad at Ceil for ruining the book, he talked to her in a shakey forced calm voice. "The time I spilled paint on the book was an accident. I doubt that this was an accident." he told her. He was a bit surprised when she apologized. At least she apologized to Katherine who she had accidentally hit. He didn't expect an apology for him. Katherine advised him to put paper towels in the pages of the book. He looked at Katherine. "Thanks for the advice" he told the girl. Looking back at Ceil he asked her, "I propose a truce- put this fighting behind us and forget that anything ever happened." he said holding out a hand for Ceil to shake. If she didn't shake it, well. That would be her loss. He wasn't the type to cause fights. He didn't like getting into fights. He always tried to control himself. The whole time his face had turned a bit more red. The wet snowball made his jacket wet. It was now very cold. He had an extra jacket in his bag. He would change later after ( hopefully ) Ciel aggrees to the truce that he just proposed.

Jeez, did Oliver really take her little joke so seriously? Ciel almost wanted to roll her eyes. She had just meant to start a friendly fight, so why did he take it so seriously? It wasn't like she had meant to ruin his book or whatever, same way that he hadn't meant to ruin her book. Didn't he know accidents existed?
"I mean, clearly I didn't mean to ruin your book," Ciel stuffed her hands into her pockets. "That was just an accident." While Ciel wanted to be snarkier to Oliver, she chose to keep her mouth shut. Ugh, just the idea of getting caught fighting some Ravenclaw outside in the freezing cold was making her slightly more apprehensive.
But, to her surprise, the Slytherin girl- no- Katherine, had whispered something in her ear, "Let's make it better. I think the book means a lot to him by looking at his expression. Give the chocolate bar to him and let's start afresh friendship!" and discreetly dropped something into her jacket pocket. Upon closer inspection, Ciel realized it was some kind of chocolate bar. From the packaging, it didn't seem to be any kind of chocolate she recognized. Maybe it was something from the Wizarding world? Ciel had still yet to learn all of the ins and outs.
She was brought back to the current topic at hand when Oliver offered his hand ahead. Ciel raised an eyebrow, was this some kind of trap? She really hadn't been paying attention to what he was saying, she had become much too focused on Katherine. Right! Katherine, the chocolate bar- jeez how was Ciel already losing track of what had happened-?
Taking the advice from the Slytherin, Ciel reached into her pocket and pulled out the chocolate bar, placing it on Oliver's hand as she shook it. There, would that fix the problem? Hopefully, it was getting quite cold out already.
"Yeah, sure." But Ciel still felt kind of guilty over the book. Though she hadn't meant to cause any real damage, she didn't know how to help him out- oh! Wait, didn't her dad know some guy who did restoration stuff? Maybe she should send him an owl and ask...
"Oh, um, by the way, about your book," Ciel awkwardly averted eye contact. "If you want, my dad knows a guy who does restoration on old stuff all the time, I can see if he can fix it, maybe?"
