I'm sorry, it sounded like you were implicating that directors use people's looks in show or movie based on how they look. I understand where both of you are coming from. If someone is skilled, obviously they can get the part in whatever they're auditioning for, regardless of what they look like.
Though when talking about shows or movies that are adaptations of an existing work (books);
It's frustrating for fans that the director couldn't put in the effort/ money to change key features so that the character is best represented as the Author had described them. Especially if that change is something simple, such as hair color. Even if the Actress wasn't comfortable with dyeing her hair, a wig or computer editing would have worked.

Im also looking for a new avatar hence why I'm here and I would like it to be art instead of a real person or anime as it was before but I couldn't find anything, so I was hoping one of you lot could, delilah is pale, has roughly shoulder length brown hair and dark brown eyes, thanks a ton
