A Love For The Stars Above
Her love for astronomy was not gone to waste, having been incredibly excited that they had such a class here at Hogwarts. In her mind it was everything she could have dreamed of! Learning how each beautiful star and planet above was formed, how it is used in many different fields of magic, it was incredible!Interacting with @Aisley Solace
Billy was sitting down somewhere in the front of the classroom, humming a soft little tune as she gazed at her notes in front of her. It was best to get studying now after all! That way all of that knowledge will be able to stick when it is needed.
The blonde-haired girl didn't really know anyone besides the ones in her house. Even then, she didn't really know them either. She spent most of her time buried in her notes, not paying any mind to the other first years around her except when they answered questions for the teacher. The teacher was rather nice as well, personally one of her favorites to say the least. Though she never really spoke up in class, letting the others take the lead. When she gained a bit more confidence, she knew she was going to raise her hand up for anything, regardless if the answer is wrong. But, that was going to take a bit of time in the girl's mind. So for now, she was sitting as still as a statue, her eyes glued to her notes as she read every single word as carefully and delicately as possible.

A Love For The Stars Above
Aisley liked stars. No- she loved them. Stars are one of Aisley's favorite things. She yearns to learn, see, study, and identify more stars. That's why she was most excited for Astronomy to begin. What better way to learn more about the stars, than by going to a class that was basically all about them?
The moment she stepped into the classroom, was almost exhilarating to her. The observation deck, all of the telescopes, and even the planetary models were quite spectacular and fascinating to her. Aisley moved into the classroom, trying to get to a seat in the middle of the class, rather than bolting to the front, like her other housemates were doing. Even though she was a Ravenclaw, it most certainly doesn't mean that she wanted to be a teacher's pet. Just as Aisley was about to make her final approach on the seat, a Gryffindor boy, sped towards it, stealing the opportunity.
Aisley sighed before looking around the class, looking for a seat. Her blueish-green eyes landed on a seat by a Slytherin girl. The girl had quite pretty hair, with darker roots but the rest was all dirty blonde. Aisley didn't particularly like interacting with people that she didn't know. She twisted her spinning anxiety ring with her thumb a few times before making her way over to sit down.
Aisley tucked one of the strands of pink hair behind her ear, before using the same hand to nudge her golden-rimmed glasses up on her face. She stayed at the seat quietly for the entire class, only looking over at the girl a few times. It wasn't until the very end of class that she spoke.
"Hey, um, s-sorry to interrupt your study time, but I just thought that I might introduce myself. Might wanna make a few friends, seeing as we're in the same class" she spoke, her voice wavering just slightly at the beginning. She took a breath before continuing, pausing to collect her thoughts, "Um, I'm Aisley. You can just call me Ais or Lee if you want. What's your name."

A Love For The Stars Above

Billy fiddled with her fingers silently, staring at her notes. It was full of diagrams, each noted down precisely. Actually, there were a lot of notes. It was hard to even see the actual paper!
When the Ravenclaw girl approached her, the other couldn't but be rather startled. Her light brown eyes showed that, wide with alarm. Though, slowly, she gave a soft nod. Billy adjusted herself rather smoothly, noticing the first-years' rather nervous attitude. Billy understood completely, after all she was the same way when it came to others her age.
"You aren't interrupting. I am really just staring at these notes by now." The blonde Slytherin's tone was light and soft, seeming to be trying to ease the other. "Aisley? Alright, I will keep that in mind. You may call me Billy." Billy seemed to pause for a moment, going into thought before patting the seat beside her. "Do you wish to sit? I believe all of the rest of the seats are full I'm afraid."
Billy gave a light smile towards Aisley, keeping eye-contact. It was good to make good first impressions after all, and this girl wanted to be her friend! If anything, that was a delight towards her due to her quiet and reserved nature. Though, she seemed to be observing Aisley. For sure a Ravenclaw, her hair was rather colorful as well. That light color did justice towards her skin tone, so did the eyes. She wondered if she also enjoyed Astronomy, she did seem to be the type.

A Love For The Stars Above
The Slytherin girl soon introduced herself as Billy, offering Aisley a seat next to her. Aisley gladly took the seat. Billy offered Aisley a smile, and she returned it, hoping that somehow she could ease Billy's nerves.
In the past, Aisley was never quite good at making friends. Most of the kids at her muggle school saw her as a freak and just all-out avoided her. So far at Hogwarts, things were definitely not the same as in muggle school. The young girl found herself relating to other kids' experiences and interests. That often led to the spark of a new friendship, or at least a good acquaintance. Aisley needed more friends, and that's exactly what she was going to do. Spinning her faithful anxiety ring once more, Aisley pushed up her glasses a bit and began to attempt conversation with Billy, hoping to find a common interest in the stars.
"So, Billy, do you also enjoy Astronomy and the night sky?" Aisley questioned, hoping to get some sort of conversation going, "I don't know much about it, but I do find our universe and the stars quite fascinating. There's just something about the beauty of them that's just so hypnotizing."
