This year felt like it had just begun yesterday, yet here Haley Rose stood in her dorm packing her suitcase. In just a few hours she would be on the Hogwarts Express and her parents would be waiting for her at Platform 9 ¾. They would be hugging, laughing and sharing stories. Normally Haley always looked forward to the time she spent at home, she did this time too, just with a little taint. A taste that made her sad, because she desperately wanted to see her boyfriend Ronnie again, but this wish was denied her.
Haley had an open and (mostly) honest relationship with her parents. They knew about Simon at the time, about the break-up and she had also informed them about Ronnie. She was always lucky that her parents, and especially her father, did not fulfil any clichés in the sense of "you're my little girl and you're not allowed to have a boyfriend". But when she wrote them the letter asking if she could visit Ronnie and his family in Brazil, a resounding no came back in reply. Haley was sour, didn't reply to the letter for a week and when she did reply, she didn't bring up the subject again. Who could blame parents for not letting their twelve-year-old child travel halfway across the globe by herself. No one, Haley did anyway.
When the redheaded girl finally walked through the big door at home she was beaming brightly as she could see her grandmother in the living room. "Nana!" she yelled and ran at her, who already had her arms wide open. "Oh my dear, it's so good to see you again! How are you and Medusa?" Haley hugged her grandmother tightly once more before releasing. She loved that her grandma was checking on her snake too. "We're doing great! It's so good to see you again, I didn't expect you to be here at all." Haley guessed it was a surprise from her parents and they had really succeeded.
"Yes I do need to make the most of these few days before you travel on." Haley heard a clap and turned around, there she saw her father banging the flat of his hand against his forehead. "You know Cecilia, in the future you won't get to know anything." But before her grandmother could reply, Haley beamed at her parents, "What's that about?" Her father now couldn't suppress a grin, "Well, it's not Christmas for a few days, but here's a present already." Her father handed his only daughter an envelope, which she carefully opened. What she found there took her breath away. It was a plane ticket to Brazil, well a homemade one, not a real one. But her mother had entered the room and explained everything else. "We thought we might spend this Christmas in a different way and it just came to us off the top of our heads that Brazil is supposed to be quite nice." She now smiled at Haley's father who continued, "But since your mother convinced me with the benefits of floopowder, we won't be flying Muggle style. Oh and by the way, as luck would have it, could you introduce us to, what was his name, Ron?" Haleys dad winked at her and she jumped up and down in delight. "OH MY GOSH!" She bounced in circles, not knowing where to go. Later that evening she wrote her boyfriend a letter and let him in on the news.
After the initial joy had subsided she used the remaining family time in London, packed her suitcase and all the presents. She was incredibly happy to finally see Ron, as her father called him, again. But Haley would be lying if she said she wasn't nervous. Nervous was almost an understatement. She knew he had a big family and Haley was afraid they might not like her. She didn't know how they would react to finding out she was a Halfblood and she was afraid of that. She wanted to have a good time in Brazil and in the end, happiness trumped her fears.
The day came quickly and Haley had hardly slept all night, she was so excited. The family had breakfast together and a relaxed morning, as they were three hours ahead of Brazil due to the time difference. Promptly at 10:00 they stepped through the fireplace in their hotel and were greeted politely. Haley had mentioned in her owl the address of the hotel and suggested they meet immediately upon arrival, Ronnie didn't have enough time to reply so she could only hope he was waiting for her outside the hotel. As soon as they got the keys to their room, Haley went ahead with quick steps and threw her suitcase on the bed. "I'll just go downstairs and see if Ronnie's here yet." Her parents barely had time to reply before she had disappeared back into the hallway.
She went outside and her eyes scanned the crowded forecourt as quickly as possible. Handsome guy, dark hair, blue-grey eyes, cute dimples, that was all she was looking for. She stood on the top step of a wide stone staircase, her long hair tied in a high braid blowing in the wind and her big green eyes continued to scan the square until she finally caught sight of the target and a big smile formed on her lips.

Today is the day. Today is the day when the Brazilian boy will meet his girlfriend. When Ronnie proposes the idea for Haley alongside her parents to fly up to Brail, Ronnie thought it was merely just an idea and a talk between the new form lovers. The Portuguese boy did not know that his secret Christmas wish will come true.
Before the holiday and when all Castelobruxo students got whisked away back to their school, Ronnie thought the next time he will see his redhead princess will be during the next whatever event Hogwarts will host but then the soft hoot of an owl flying above his head and drop a small letter with a distinct handwrite of Haley.
The Duellist could not contain his excitement so with one quick motion he tore open the letter. At first, Ronnie thought that Haley had other plans for this year's Christmas but when his blue-grey eyes landed on the word that Haley alongside her parents will come to Brazil, Ronnie shouted happily and successfully gained some of his peers' attention.
But it was several weeks ago. Now, Ronnie standing in front of a mirror above the bathroom sink. The Ramírez boy ran his hand through his newly cut and dyed hair. Long gone his luscious dark brown hair that he knew Haley loves so much. Ronnie a bit self-conscious though since he never dyed his hair before much less dyed it into a color that was so in contrast with his natural root.
But the holiday means trying new things and Ronnie is pretty excited to show his ney look to Haley. Ronnie is gripping the bathroom sink when there is a rapid knocking against the bathroom door. Opposite the door, the boy could hear his oldest sister say to him in Portuguese not to hog the bathroom.
Ronnie ignored his sister's protest. Then the continuous knocking on the door rang out again. "Geez! Chill out will you!"Shouted Ronne from inside the bathroom. With one last suck of a breath, Ronnie winked at his reflection in the mirror and opened the bathroom door. "Finally! What happened to your hair?"Alex asked in Portuguese and a bit shocked after seeing her youngest brother's hair color.
"I dyed it,"Ronnie reply deadpan. "Is this today?"Alex being the biggest gossip queen amongst the Ramírez siblings remember very well that today is a big day for her brother. "Good luck with that. Now, out of my way I need my shower!"Alex said in Portuguese and pushed Ronnie to the side. Ronnie let out a laugh and ran down the stairs.
Upon entering the dining room his older brother, Venice, pretty much asked the same thing as Alex did. R0nnie nodded his head when Venice asked whether he will meet Haley today. The Duellist then grabbed some quick breakfast and when he was done with it, he ran out of the door. Before the door of his house slammed shut, he could hear his father telling him not to stay out too late and Ronnie said 'I won't' as a reply to his father's order.
Dress in a light blue shirt, dark green pants, and light brown suede shoes, Ronnie began his track to the nearest train station. Not before long after his train ride, he arrived at the location where the Roses' will be staying during the holiday. Downtown São Paulo is packed with people since tomorrow is Christmas.
People here and there trying to have that one last rush of Christmas shopping to buy their gifts. Ronnie tried his best to weave between the crowd until he spotted a familiar redhead in the distance. Ronnie's smile spread from ear to ear and he raised his hand to gain Haley's attention. "Mi Amor! my love"The Duellist shout at top of his lungs and ran up to Haley.
Time and his surroundings seem to move slowly and Ronnie feels like he is in slow motion when in reality Ronnie ran as fast as he can to meet his beautiful girlfriend and did not care if he bumped people along the way. Once he stood in front of Haley, the blue-grey-eyed boy put both of his hands on Haley's cheek and leaned in for a kiss.
It feels so long from the last time he saw the Quidditch player so he pours all his adoration and love into that searing kiss. Ronnie did not know how long he kissed his princess until he faintly hear someone say young love and a deep voice clearing his throat. Ronnie breaks apart from Haley but put his hand on Haley's waist.
Ronnie smiled at the couple and from their faces, it is clear to see there are some features from their faces that they passed down to Haley. "Do not tell me this is your parents. They saw us kissing, love!"Ronnie whispered so only Haley could hear him. Ronnie's face beat red when Haley's parents caught the pair kissing.
The pureblood kid then stretches out his hand to both his dream girl's parents. "I do not mean to be inappropriate with your daughter in front of you, ma'am and sir,"Ronnie smiled showing his dimpled smile. "I am sorry you have to witness that but allow me to introduce myself. My name is Verona Andréas or as this one is like to call me Ronnie,"Ronnie smiled to hide his embarrassment and nervousness meeting Haley's parents for the first time.
"It is a pleasure to meet you both, ma'am and sir"Ronnie's hand is still stretched out and waiting for either Haley's mother or father to shake.

There it was, the voice she had missed for ages and never forgotten. She turned to him and there he was, running straight towards her. "Ronnie!" she shouted, running towards him. No wonder, he had spotted her first, the black hair she had been looking for was obviously a thing of the past, but she couldn't focus on that now. All she wanted was to finally take him in her arms again and it seemed the Portuguese boy felt the same way. It only took a few seconds for the boyfriend to run to her and take her face between his hands.
Haley rested her hands on his waist and leaned into the kiss. This one was long awaited, passionate and Haley never wanted to miss the feel of his lips on hers again. Even though she knew she couldn't kiss the boy forever, she would love to. Neither of them just thought to release this moment and without releasing her lips she whispered softly, "I've missed you so much."
It could have been minutes, it felt like seconds. Ronnie released the kiss and Haley looked at him sadly with her lip pushed forward. "Luv, yes those are my parents. And it's okay." Haley now turned to her parents and before she could say anything to them the boy next to her spoke up. She seized the moment and surveyed the short and, more importantly, blond hair of the still hot handsome boy. Haley had really missed looking at him.
While Ronnie, being what he was, apologised to her parents for kissing her, her eyes were only on him and she grinned stupidly to herself. She couldn't resist and felt his hair. It was unfamiliar but she loved the feel of short shaved hair and after getting comfortable with the new sensation, she started to lightly tickle him. She noticed how he tilted his head slightly into her hand but still kept his concentration on her parents. She smiled like a girl in love and now looked at her parents too, spotting her mother who had been watching her the whole time and smiling at her. Haley admonished her with a look not to say anything now.
"It's so nice to meet you!" beamed Haley's mother, taking his hand. Neither of the both went in to say anything about the kiss and so the subject was soon history. Haley always loved how easy life was with her parents. They trusted her and she trusted them. She had her freedoms but also her boundaries and as long as that balance worked, there was no need to take any action or hold any appeals. "So it's not Ron?" now asked Haley's father in wonder, sending his daughter an admonishing look. He too now took Ronnie's hand, "The pleasure is all ours. Please call us David and Stephanie." He added.
"You can call him Ron. Right, love?" said Haley now, kind of liking calling Ronnie that too. It was her synonym at the time when it came to saying who her secret crush was. She hadn't lied about it, just made Ron out of Ronnie.
"So you two, knowing my daughter, she's about to have a very private tour of the city from you. But before you leave again, let's talk about planning. Ronnie, how is your family spending Christmas tomorrow? We were thinking about celebrating it together, but only if it's not too much trouble? Otherwise we would try to book a table at a restaurant for the Rose family tomorrow."
After Ronnie would answer her father she would reach for his hand and intertwine her fingers with his. "I really would have a private tour of the city." She whispered to him, "Or much more just alone time with you." She whispered even more softly and gave him a kiss on the cheek.
"Okay Lovebirds." Her mother clapped her hands briefly to regain her daughter's attention as well. "We're going to stretch our feet a bit, Haley do you have your phone with you? I'll send you a location and I suggest we meet back for lunch then."
"Alright mom, you guys have fun and I'll see you later!" Haley gave them both another kiss on the cheek before turning and taking Ron by the hand again and pulling him down the stairs with her. At the bottom she stopped and turned around so that she was standing in front of him. She looked at him and at that moment she was at a loss for words. She grinned inanely and spoke a soft "Hey."
She looked back up at his hair and then into the blue-grey eyes she had missed so much. "The new hair suits you." She added, stroking his head again and then crossing her arms behind his neck.

First and foremost Ronnie felt mortified that both of Haley's parents caught the pair in a passionate embraced but then when Haley reassured the boy that was okay, Ronnie visibly relax a bit. After his short introduction, the matriarchy figure of Rose's family stretched out her hand and shook Ronnie's.
"It is not the way I want you to meet me for the first time. For that I apologize"Ronnie said to the mother figure. Though Haley said it was okay, Ronnie still felt a bit awkward and wanted to put a good first impression in front of Haley's parents. When Haley's father asked him whether his name is Ron, Ronnie shook his head no.
"No, sir"Ronnie replied politely but the father addressed Ronnie to call him and his wife by their name. "I mean David and Stephanie,"Ronnie corrected himself. It felt weird to call someone who was way much older than him by their name but since Haley provided one, Ronnie will try to break the custom.
Then Haley's father asked what was in store for the young love birds. Ronnie patted his pants pocket and when he got a feel of the fold-up paper, he took out the folded paper and gave it to both Haley's parents. Inside the folded paper, there are some things that Ronnie wanted to take around while the girl visits Brazil.
Hang out by the beach, have a Christmas dinner together, visited the local dog shelter, watch the sunset together to name a few, and do some other things that were listed on the paper. Usually, Ronnie was not the kind of person who makes a list about something. But he wanted to show Haley's parents that their daughter will be well taken care of and the Portuguese will not do any funny business without Haley's consent.
Then he felt a soft ministration combing at his hair and he unconsciously leaned into Haley's touch. To be honest, when Haley plays with his newly cut and dyed hair, it is a bit hard to concentrate while still talking to both Haley's parents. But in the end, Ronnie managed to do that just fine. Haley's father then asked what his family will do about Christmas tomorrow and wondered if both families could spend the whole day together.
Ronnie beamed at the idea, "Oh no, it is not trouble at all. But if you try to book a last-minute table at this time of the year, I am afraid you not going to find one,"Ronnie said as David told he will try to book a table when Christmas dinner rolled in. "We love to have your family around, sir,"Ronnie replied.
As much as he wanted to call Haley's father by his name, it is a bad habit that is hard to break. "I am sure my family loves the idea,"Ronnie added some more. "The Ramírez is big for our Christmas shebangs. Around Christmas time, my siblings and I will cook the entire meal together,"He uttered. "Well, my sister and my father for the whole meal as I am not a great cook but I am superb at dessert,"Ronnie boasted his hidden talent that only Haley and his family know.
Something clicked inside his head. "Of course, you can call me Ron"The Duellist answered the forgotten question that was being asked earlier. Ronnie tried his best not to kiss Haley right here and there when the redhead princess whispered that the girl wished to have much more just alone time with him.
Haley did not know this but the girl drives him crazy and only a fool can resist her. The Castrlobruxo then hears a clap coming from Haley's mom to bring the youngsters' attention. Haley's mother spoke to Haley that the older couple will have a walk on their own and will send a rendezvous location to meet back for lunch.
And when both couples go their separate ways, Haley takes Ronnie's hand and pulls him down the stairs. When Haley reached the bottom of the stairs, she turned around and spoke hey softly to the blue-grey-eyed boy. Ronnie grinned from ear to ear. Haley then said his new look suits him. Ronnie grow self-conscious again as he ran his hand through his new blonde hair.
"You think so? This still feels weird for me but I want to try a new look and I am glad you like it,"Ronnie replied and bend down to kiss his girl when he felt both of Haley's arms around his neck. "Cheeky move you pulled back there. Playing with my hair when I am trying so hard to concentrate while talking to your parents,"Ronnie added then his face goes red.
"It was not I do not like it, per se, but you are something that I can not resist,"Ronnie said in the last part in Portuguese. The boy then kiss Haley again and pulled back. The Ramírez boy then pulled Haley towards the nearest train station. "I know this is not on our agenda but I promise some local boys that I kick some soccer around the beach,"Ronnie said after both of them arrived at the station near downtown São Paulo beach.
A short walk later, both of the students arrived at the beach. When Ronnie arrived at the beach, the local boys that often times played with him for a soccer beach game wolf-whistled at the pair when the couple arrived at the beach holding hands. One of the boys asked Ronnie whether it is the girl that the Duellist often told his mates about in his native language.
"Yes, she is! Now come on, let's play some ball"Ronie said to his mate in Portuguese. The Brazilian boy then grabbed one of his mate's swimming trunks and change it at the beach changing room. When Ronnie emerged from the changing room, he dressed in nothing but the swimming trunks. His athletic and chiseled body was on display for all to see.
Ronnie then bends down and kissed Haley's cheek. "I won't be long. You are welcome to stay or walk around the beach by yourself if you like,"Ronnie said to his girlfriend. One of his mates called out and said 'quite showing off' in Portuguese. Ronnie let out a laugh, run up to the beach, and started to kick some soccer around.

Haley's parents took the note from Ronnie and after a quick glance at it, they grinned without saying anything else. Haley looked back and forth between the three of them in confusion, but no one felt it necessary to enlighten her about it. Great, her parents and boyfriend have known each other for two minutes and already they are keeping secrets from her, the redhead thought to herself but left it at that.
"Yes we thought so, but all the better that we can celebrate Christmas together and not have to worry about that now. All we need then is a time and an address and we'll be there on time." Haley's father said to Ronnie before they went on their way,
Haley couldn't wait to celebrate her first Christmas with Ronnie... And his and her family, even though she was still nervous to meet the big family of him. She wished she had Ian by her side, her cousin would always have her back but she knew she had Ronnie and told herself not to panic.
"It is great." Haley assured Ronnie about his hair, but she knew full well it wasn't actually necessary. "Don't act like you didn't like it." Haley replied, winking at him while still keeping her arms crossed behind his neck. She went up on her toes and gave him a kiss and after she released she whispered softly to him. "Don't worry my parents are gone." She laughed and loved teasing Ronnie.
Haley followed Ronnie on the train, listening to him while observing her surroundings, wanting to take in as much as she could. While other girlfriends might be mad that their boyfriend was meeting his friends to play soccer five minutes after she arrived, Haley was the complete opposite. Of course she wanted Ronnie to herself too, but the fact that he took her to meet his friends was something she appreciated much more. She was obviously no secret to him and Haley couldn't wait to see what his friends were like.
"Wow." Haley said excitedly when she saw the beautiful beach and the sea. She loved the ocean and one day she wanted to learn to ride the waves. She had wished for a surf camp from her parents for her next birthday and she really hoped that this wish would come true. But at that moment she could not but admire the beauty of her surroundings.
After the two walked hand in hand for a while, Haley could already see the field and some boys playing from a distance and heard their loud shouts. Haley didn't understand what they were saying, maybe she should learn Portuguese or this would go on and on. While Ronnie went to change Haley waved to his friends, "Hey Guys! I'm Haley and I hope you guys are really giving it to him now." At that she nodded her head towards the cabin.
"I'm going to walk along the beach for a bit, you guys have fun." She said goodbye to the boy, having to concentrate hard not to stare at his stripped torso. As the boys began to play, Haley wandered around a bit. She took off her shoes and socks and felt the sand between her toes. She walked to the edge where the water could just barely touch her feet. She took her phone out of her pocket and took some pictures of the beach, the sea, herself and Ronnie and his friends playing football on the beach.
Haley now went over to the boys who were kicking the ball wildly, scoring a goal or two, cheering loudly and shouting. It was really fun to watch them, but Haley had another idea. She hadn't played soccer for ages, the last time was in school days with her Muggle friends, but she would give it a try. Quietly, she walked over to them and signalled to Ronnie's friends what she was going to do. She walked up to her boyfriend with her index finger over her lips to signal the others not to give anything away. She pointed to one of the boys, who was obviously not on the same team as Ronnie, and signalled that she would pass him the ball.
Haley waited for the moment Ronnie had the ball again and in a split second she sprinted off, and hell she was fast. From behind she took possession of the ball from Ronnie and while she didn't have any soccer tricks up her sleeve, she had to go for her speed. She sprinted with the ball towards the goal, past the other boys "GO GO GO!" she shouted to the chosen one and as they were about to score she braked abruptly, lunged with her right leg and passed the ball to the other side as best she could with her instep.
Never did she think it would work but her pass was accepted and the boy peppered the ball into the goal with full force. "OH MY GOD!" GOAAAL!" she screamed laughing and jumping up and down.
Haley used the time some more, kicking with the boys as much as that was okay with them, until she noticed her mobile phone vibrating. "Excuse me." She pulled back and saw that her mother had sent her a location with the time. Haley looked at her watch, to get there on time she had to go. "Ronnie" She called to the boy, who it was obvious had been working out all this time, trying not to stare at his muscles. "Luv, I have to go meet my parents. But don't worry, I've memorised the train and everything and I can handle it on my own." Haley really hoped Ronnie didn't get the idea of having to accompany her now, she managed things on her own and hoped Ronnie saw that. "You guys have some more fun, I'll see you tomorrow for Christmas!" She said goodbye with a quick kiss before heading off.

After lunch, Haley went about preparing for tomorrow. Sitting cross-legged on the floor, she wrapped all the presents. For Ronnie's father, she and her parents packed one of the best bottles of Butlers Whiskey and Irish Cream specialties. This contains butlers irish whiskey truffles covered in the best Irish milk and dark chocolate as well as the bottle of whiskey.
For Ronnie's siblings she had made a small package of Irish tea, Irish chocolate and biscuits. Each one was tight with a green bow and a dried shamrock stuck on top, along with a little sign saying "Nollaig Shona" which means Merry Christmas.
For Ronnie, she had something very special. She had thought about it for a long time because she wanted something personal, not material. Over the last few months she had taken the time to put together a small box of letters for him, all of them with a topic:
The first letter would explain the rules about the gift, wish him a Merry Christmas and show how important he was to her.Open when

After she had taken care of all the gifts, it was time to choose the clothes. Haley had packed a variety of options, but it took forever for her to make a decision. Her mother lay behind her on the bed while Haley kept changing and examining herself in the mirror. "Honey, that looks great." Said her mother now at the third outfit, as she had at the previous two. "Mooom, you say that about every outfit." Complained the young Rose, exasperated. "You just look good in all your clothes, don't get so worked up. I'm sure his family will like you." She gently encouraged her daughter. Haley wanted to object, to tell her it was about the dress not his family, but she knew she couldn't lie to anyone here.
After what felt like an eternity, she had finally made a decision and was really happy with it. She was exhausted from the long day and the many new impressions that after an early dinner she immediately fell into bed and fell asleep.

The next day the Rose family had a wonderful Christmas brunch before they went for a walk together through the town and Haley showed them the beach from the day before. In the afternoon, they all rested again before packing up all their things, getting ready and driving to the address Ronnie had given her.
Once there, the whole family couldn't help but be amazed. "Haley you didn't tell us your boyfriend was rich." Joked her father and all three started laughing. "Pssht" she giggled and went to the front door and rang the bell. She looked down at herself one last time, straightening her dress as she noticed her mother gently put a hand on her shoulder. "You're adorable."

While kicking around the ball, the Brazilian took a secret glance towards where his girlfriend was headed. From the looks of it, Haley had a great time exploring the beach on her own while waiting for the Duellist to play with his mates. Ronnie did not know how long he had stared at Haley until a ball smacked him on the side of his face.
The other boys who played with him snickered about and told the blue-grey-eyed boy to get his head in the game. Ronnie let out his own small snickered and continued to play the game. Even though it is December, the air around the beach is warm enough for him to just dress in swimming trunks that one of his mates lend it him.
The six boys (including Ronnie) cheered and shouted joyously while playing the ball. And when the ball in the now blond-haired boy, someone stole the ball from behind him. A blurred feminine figure with red hair and ripped jeans ran past him and Ronnie need a moment or two to pick up his jaw from the beach sand.
One of the boys that are on the same team as Ronnie commands him to catch up with Haley. The Castelobruxo student ran as fast as he can and planning to catch Haley by her waist but Haley left Ronnie in the dust with how fast she ran while dribbling the ball across to the other goalpost. Ronnie did not know where he ran and therefore he got tackled by his own feet.
The Brazillian planted face first into the sand and when he got up to splutter out the sand that manage to get into his mouth, Haley with the assistance of the opposite player managed to score a goal. The boy that is on his team jabbed his naked torso and tease him. Ronnie smiled stupidly at himself when he saw Haley laughing and jumping up and down celebrating her goal.
The Portuguese boy walked up to Haley while dusting the sand that was now stuck into his sweaty torso. They played the ball some more until Haley excused herself to check on her phone. From the corner of his eyes, he saw Haley look down at her phone and then called out his name. Ronnie jogs up to where Haley stands.
"What's up?"Ronnie asked clearly out of breath as he pants away. The Gryffindor girl told the boy that she needs to meet her parents. "....But don't worry, I've memorized the train and everything and I can handle it on my own,"She said to the tall boy. Ronnie looked at Haley. "Are you sure? I can tell the boys that I need to escort you to the place where you meet with your parents"He uttered and prepared to change back into the clothes that he came in with.
Ronnie did not want Haley to think that he picks the boys over her. While the other boyfriend will choose to play around with his mates but not Ronnie. "You guys have some more fun, I'll see you tomorrow for Christmas!" She said goodbye with a quick kiss before heading off. As Haley took off into the distance, the boys called out to Ronnie again to finish the game before the sun set.

As Christmas finally rolled in, Ronnie woke up with a jolt. Last night he was tossed and turned in his bed. Not because he was nervous about Christmas itself but more about the company that will come to his home. When Ronnie opened his eyes, from his bedroom he can hear faint pans banging against the stove and the chatter that was his family.
Ronnie prepared his day and once he was presentable enough he began his descend toward where the kitchen is located. He said good morning and Merry Christmas to his father and siblings. As usual, Alex being Alex, teased him about having the Roses around when Christmas dinner will roll in on the evening of the day.
His father told him what he needed to do and when all the preparation were done, Ronnie excused himself by saying he needs to swim a bit to calm his nerves. All of his family members laughed since they saw Ronnie so worked up before. A few hours had passed and the sun began to set on the horizon, Ronnie washed up again to get rid of the chlorine that was stuck on him.
When he was in the shower, he can hear the front doorbell ringing and the sweet voice of his youngest sister opening the door for their guests. Her sister greets the guest politely and says Merry Christmas in Portuguese. Ronnie never took a shower that fast in his life. The Ramírez boy put on the matching sweater that his grandmother had sent to the whole family.
He put on the dark purple sweater with accented silver with 'CR' printed in gold in the middle of the sweater thinks like the one Harry wore during his Christmas at the castle. "Andréas, your girlfriend is here!"Alex shouted in Portuguese. As fast as he could Ronnie put on the rest of the assembling of his clothing and ran out of his room.
With thundering steps, he ran down the stairs and his father shouted at him not to run inside the house. And when he stood in front of the Roses, he smile sweetly at his girlfriend and her parents. "Come on in! Sorry about that,"Ronnie felt embarrassed that his father need to admonish him in front of his family guests.
And when all the family members of the Rosses step into the Ramírez household, Ronnie closed the door after them. The boy then ushered the guests into his open floor dining - kitchen room. "Dad, our guest is here,"Ronnie said in Portuguese as his father's back still turned away from the guest. When his father turned around, he still got an apron around him and bring out a fresh-from-the-oven turkey that he just roasted.
The patriarchal figure of Ramírez put down the turkey on the dining table and took out the apron he wore. The single dad then dust his hand and stuck it out. "Hello, I'm Enzo. Welcome to our house. Please have a seat. Dinner about to be served"His father told their guest. On the dining table served your typical Christmas dinner feast.
There is a large bowl of mashed potatoes, baked beans, veggies, and all kinds of food that you can imagine during the Christmas feast. His father then turned to Ronnie, "Andréas, don't be coy now! Introduced us to your lovely girlfriend"Enzo teased his youngest son and the rest of the Ramírez children chuckled at their father's remark.
And as for Ronnie, his face turned beet red since this is the second time his father embarrassed him in front of their respective guests.

Haley had expected Ronnie's father to open the door, but her tense shoulders relaxed again when a little girl with blonde hair opened the door. Haley knew immediately that this must be Ronnie's youngest sister, Izzy. Haley put on a sweet smile when she saw the little one. "Hello you, and a merry christmas. You must be Izzy?" before Haley could have introduced herself further to the young girl Ronnie came running down the steps and a voice from inside the house called out something that visibly embarrassed him.
"Hello Verona, merry christmas and thanks for having us." Haley's mother greeted the Portuguese and entered the house. Haley's father also greeted the boy and took the jacket from his wife, while Haley took the moment to give Ronnie a kiss, knowing he was still uncomfortable kissing her in front of her parents. "Merry Cristmas, babe."
"Your Christmas jumper looks adorable." Complimented her mother, and then followed him to the dining table. Haley was nervous and at the same time impressed by the huge and beautiful house. Again she looked down at her dress, which she had done far too often since standing at the door, and smoothed it out with her hands. When they arrived at the table, a man placed a wonderfully thirsty turkey on the table. Haley guessed it must be the father and immediately it was clear who Ronnie got his good looks from.
"Hello Enzo, we are Stephanie and David, Haley's parents. Thanks a lot for having us and this looks amazing." After Haley's parents had introduced themselves, they took their seats and while Haley wanted to follow suit, she also wanted to introduce herself properly to Ronnie's family at the same time, but it seemed everyone was still busy in some way and so she stood a little lost in front of the table, not knowing where to put herself.
It was Ronnie's father's invitation that made her smile and relieved the tension in her a little. Giggling, she put her hand over her mouth, she liked him already. But she wanted to make a decent impression and so she cleared her throat and took a step towards Ronnie's father to introduce herself. "Hello Mister Ramirez, it's a pleasure to meet you. I'm Haley Rose." Said the redhead as she extended her hand to him before Ronnie could even say anything.
Once Haley had introduced herself to Ronnie's other siblings, she would also take a seat at the table and as soon as the feast was opened, she would take a portion of the mashed potatoes, veggies and some of the turkey. She would have loved to rave about how damn amazing all of this tasted, but she pulled herself together and tried to make the best impression she could on Ronnie's father. "It all tastes really delicious." Complimented Haley to the chefs and as Haley's mother noticed how out of character her daughter was acting, she wanted to shift the attention a little to give her daughter a moment to breathe.
Haley's mother asked Ronnie's father what he did for a living and told her about her work for the Ministry of Magic and her job as an Obliviator. They exchanged stories about their backgrounds, their school days and everything Ronnie's father would tell them and the evening began to take its own course.
While everyone started to engage in conversation, Haley leaned over to her boyfriend and whispered softly, "Your jumpers are awesome, i love the dark purple on you." A little wink and the girl leaned back in her chair again. "How do you guys handle the gift giving? Do you do it after dinner or later in the evening?" she asked the boy.
The food tasted wonderful and after everyone had finished eating, Haley asked to help clear the table. Depending on whether she was allowed or not, she would clear the table accordingly or remain seated and take the moment to look around the large room a little more closely. Once everyone was back at the table, Haley's father would mention something that she would like to behead him for. "Enzo, I saw you have a wing. It's really beautiful! We have one at home too. Which one of you plays the piano? Haley, you should play something for us and sing." Haley was about to take a sip of water, which she choked on after this statement and started coughing violently.
"Excuse me, what?" She thought she had misheard, but at the same time knew that she hadn't and regretted having asked the question. "The piano, you should play something." Her father repeated and she looked at him with wide eyes. Haley had been playing since she was a little child, she had learned from her father and she was really good. Singing had also been with her all her life and a few months ago she had started a band and was the lead singer. But she had never sung in front of strangers, let alone was she ready to sing in front of Ronnie's family.
"I would love to." She replied, having finally recovered from her cough. "But Ronnie was just about to give me a tour of the house, right Ronnie?" She looked at her boyfriend demandingly, just hoping that her father would have forgotten about the idea by later and, more importantly, that Ronnie's family wouldn't insist on it now, because there was no way she could deny them their wish.

Dinner went swimmingly well. But before we get to that point, let's rewind a little back. So, after Ronnie closes the door of the Ramírez household and helps the older couple to hang their coats on the coat hanger, Ronnie said Merry Christmas to both David and Stephanie. Haley's mom compliments his jumper by saying the jumper looks adorable.
"Thank you, ma'am,"Ronnie knows that Stephanie already allowed him to call her by her name but it still feels weird for the blue-grey-eyed boy. From a tender age, his father and oldest sister told him it is impolite to call someone who was older than him by their name. Once the older couple stands a bit far from both Haley and Ronnie, the red hair beauty that is his girlfriend gives him a kiss and said Merry Christmas to the Brazilian.
Although Ronnie was still a bit apprehensive about kissing Haley in front of her parents because of yesterday's incident, Ronnie could not resist himself. The boy planted a quick kiss. "Merry Christmas to you too, love"The Duellis returned the compliment in his native language which is Portuguese.
Once the greeting had been said, Ronnie escorted the Roses towards where the dining table was located. Once the adults give out their short introductions to each other and Alex placed the last meal on the table, everyone began to shuffle into the table. Ronnie glanced at Haley and he could see that his girlfriend either kind of unsure or nervousness got the best of her.
Haley then bounded up to his father and introduced herself. "Hello, the pleasure is all mine, Haley. And please call me Enzo,"Ronnie's father's smile showed the same identical dimpled that often time featured on Ronnie's cheek. During the pleasantries, Venice - Ronnie's older brother - did not engage in the conversation but the little statement that his father just made, made him speak up.
"You were not this nice to Carina that one time, dad,"Venice let out a small scoff. Venice then averted his gaze from his father to Ronnie. "You remember Carina, right Andréas?"Venice asked then shot out a smirk toward his brother. At the mention of a girl that Ronnie never told Haley about and who used to be Venice's teammate in Quidditch before the other girl changed her sport to Duelling and become Ronnie's occasional Duelling partner, Ronnie glared at his brother.
Venice deliberately did not say anything until dinner was underway. Seated on the head of the table was Enzo. On the right side of the table where Haley's parents and Haley were seated. On the left side of the table seated across from Haley is Venice followed by Izzy and Alex. Ronnie himself was seated at the end of the table.
Conversation flowed easily on the opposite side of the table. Ronnie could hear that Haley's mother asked what Ronnie's father did for a living. The single dad told the older Roses couple that he owns a restaurant in downtown São Paulo and tutted Ronnie for not giving him a head start that the Roese planning to visit Brazil this year's holiday.
Haley then leaned in and whispered softly to the Portugues that she thinks Ronnie's jumpers are awesome and the color of the said jumpers looks good on it. Ronnie's face blushed, he said thank you in Portuguese and kiss Haley's cheek. At the display of affection, Venice interjects himself. "So, Haley, is it?"The older boy asked.
"What are you doing with this dweeb? I am sure a hot girl like you could do so much better than him,"Venice said with a smirk as he scooped up some mashed potatoes into his mouth while looking at Haley like the Quidditch player some kind of oject to gawked at. With the way his brother stares at his girlfriend, Ronnie feels like wanted to throw up but he did not want to cause a scene.
So he hold his tongue and did not utter a single word unless Haley addressed whatever she wanted to talk to him about until everyone was finished with the dinner. Once both families have done with their dinner, Haley offered to clear the table, and Enzo smiled at the thoughtful thought and allow Haley to help Ronnie clean out the table and adjacent to that meaning cleaning the dishes too.
As both the young love birds tackle the tasks together, Haley asked how the Ramírez handles gift-giving. For a brief moment, Ronnie got quiet. "To be honest, we do not have an exact timeline,"He began to explain to Haley. "If you gave your gift to Izzy, she might open it after dinner but usually Alex, Venice, my father, and I open it later in the evening"Ronnie explain some more.
"Speaking of gifts, yours was not in here. I want to bring you somewhere tomorrow and I think you going to love it"Ronnie beamed at the idea. He is sure Haley will get curious about it. The Brazilian boy was in the middle drying up the plate when Venice sauntered up to the pair. He was facing away from the couple.
His back dug onto the edge of the sink counter. "What do you want, Aleixo?"Enquire the younger out of the two Ramírez boys. "Nothing! I just want to talk to you about Carina,"Venice smirk showed up again, and act innocently. "Do you have to bring her up, brother?"Ronnie asked exasperatedly.
Dinner was not over yet and Ronnie already got tired of Venice's antics and mind game. "Do not tell me you have not told about Carina to your lovely girlfriend here,"Venice uttered clearly enjoying the little game that he played. "That is unacceptable, Andéas,"Venice said with a faux gasp, slapped Ronnie on the shoulder, and turned to Haley.
"Let me tell you something about Carina Gianniotti,"Venice began his tale. "First thing first, she has this sexy Italian accent that Ronnie had a secret crush on. She used to be a Quidditch player but then for some reason she switched to Duelling and occasionally this one Duelling partner,"Venice stared out like he reminiscing a good memory.
"Those big doe brown eyes and her gorgeous lush hair are enough to make any boys go crazy for her. Long story short, one day I got bored and wanted to see Andéas during his Duelling practice and I found out that both Andéas and Carina tucked away in the corner with her head on his shoulder,"Venice said as he waited for Ronnie's reaction.
"Not long after that day, I finally found out that Carina had switched from Quiddich to Duelling to be close with this one and she has a major crush on Ronnie. She is something else, right little brother?"Venice ended his tale and left the kitchen as if nothing happened.
Venice left the story hanging in the air. Ronnie gritted his jaw and took a sharp breath. He turned towards Haley but nothing come out of his mouth. This is what Ronnie dislikes about her brother. His brother always acts like this and could seem to see Ronnie being happy for once. Once the dishes were done, Ronnie returned back to the table again.
Venice was already seated in his previous position with a smug look on his face. Ronnie was lost in his thought but when the mentioned of his father has a wing, Ronnie looked at his father with confusion etched across his face. Then Haley's father asked who played the piano amongst the Ramírez.
All four children of Enzo's raise their hands. "Our mother taught us before she left,"Innocent Izzy said with sadness in her tone. Alex immediately side-hug her youngest sister to comfort her. Ronnie was lost in his thought again until someone mentioned his name. "....of the house, right Ronnie?"The voice belongs to his girlfriend. Ronnie blinked his eyes and looked at Haley blankly.
He did not know what Haley asked of him but he nodded his head along. "Huh? Oh right, come on then! Excuse us for a moment"Ronnie get out of his seat and began to bring Haley around the house. First, Ronnie brings the Hogwarts student to the back of the house where the swimming pool was located.
"You already know where our dining - kitchen room is,"Ronnie said as both the students walked around the house. Ronnie then ascended the stairs and opens from door to door showing his father's study room, Alex's, Venice's, and Izzy's bedroom. And lastly, the boy brings Haley to his bedroom.
"This is my room. Feel free to look around, if you want,"Ronnie said as he seated on one of the corners of the bed that was in the spacious yet tidy bedroom.

"Thank you, Enzo." Haley began to relax, the evening was progressing nicely and after she had overcome the first hurdle of introducing herself to Ronnie's family, the first nervousness seemed to fall from her shoulders. What could go wrong now? Haley didn't know yet, but it seemed that Venice, Ronnie's brother, liked to cause some drama and Haley was a sitting duck for him.
Haley suspected that Carina might be Venice's ex-girlfriend. Or maybe the girlfriend, at least Enzo obviously hadn't been as nice to her as he had been to Haley. She felt bad, she didn't want there to be any arguments because of her, but she couldn't say anything about the situation. So she just sat there quietly looking glumly back and forth between Ronnie, his father and Venice. She could see Ronnie's glare, to which he gave his brother, and Haley furrowed her eyebrows for a second, but wouldn't let on.
Like the others, she ignored the subject and tried to enjoy the rest of the evening like the others did. Her eyes kept falling on Venice, who hadn't contributed anything to the conversation since his last comment. She couldn't resist, she wanted to know what was going on with him, what did it mean. But she couldn't, unfortunately she couldn't read minds.
But it seemed that the grumpy boy could talk after all. "Yes, Haley it is." She answered him with a more forced smile. She had a bad feeling about him, but tried to be polite. She couldn't believe that he had called her a "hot girl" in front of everyone present, as if it was the most normal thing in the world. In front of her parents, in front of his father and especially in front of Ronnie. Before replying, she looked at Ronnie in disbelief, but he remained silent. She rolled her eyes before turning back to Venice and putting on her obvious fake smile. "What a charming way to pay a compliment." She countered with a raised eyebrow, not responding to the one he had actually addressed.
Relieved, Haley stood up as Enzo gratefully accepted her offer. She couldn't wait to leave the tense aura of this room, this really wasn't how she had imagined meeting Ronnie's siblings for the first time. As soon as she had arrived in the kitchen with quick steps, she took a deep breath before Ronnie followed. She briefly thought about addressing the whole situation, but decided against it. "Mhm, alright." She replied nonetheless, a little annoyed at his answer.
As they continued to exchange, Haley let the thoughts go and tried not to be mad or annoyed. Luckily for her, it was working well, possibly due to the surprise Ronnie would have for her tomorrow. She wanted to know right away, but she knew he wouldn't tell her, so she didn't even try to get it out of him.
The serene mood didn't last long though, because after a few minutes Venice came into the kitchen and decided to keep the two of them some company, Haley knew this couldn't be a good sign. She had only known the boy for a few hours, but already she didn't have a good feeling. Haley decided to ignore him and busied herself with tidying up the dishes and cleaning some of them. On the side, she tried to ignore the conversation between the two brothers, but she couldn't help overhearing her name. Who the hell is Carina.
Stiffened, she focused on the plate in front of her, but her ears were too curious. And Haley couldn't resist, she had to know now. There was something about it. She put the plate down and turned around, leaning her back against the kitchen worktop. "Yea Andreas, that is unacceptable." She now repeated Venice's words and looked at Ronnie demandingly. "I mean, obviously she plays an important role for both of you." Now she looked at both of them with a raised eyebrow. She wasn't in the mood for these games, they should come clean or just fall silent but not pull something like this.
"I am listening." Replied the redhead to Venice "Let me tell you something." Haley listened to him and while she was seething inside, she didn't let on. "Well, it sounds like someone is jealous because the girl with the sexy Italian accent is into his brother and not himself." She countered Venice before he left the room. Haley turned back around, and continued cleaning the dishes, only a little more aggressively than before. "Great, another flirt as boyfriend." She muttered, annoyed.
They didn't say a word to each other afterwards, which only made Haley angrier, but she swallowed it and put on a smile. She would not give Venice that satisfaction. The conversation at the table distracted her from the whole situation and it was now Izzy who caught her attention. Haley's heart ached when she saw her sad look. She had the urge to take the little mouse in her arms. But first Haley had to get herself out of the situation.
Quietly she followed Ronnie and listened to him, but said nothing. The house was beautiful, no question, but she didn't feel like talking to him. The whole Carina thing was driving her crazy, especially the fact that Ronnie had just accepted his brother's behaviour all evening. Haley could fight her own battles, but she didn't expect Ronnie to do nothing. But that was the way it was given and Haley didn't know what to make of it all.
Once in his room, she took a little more time to survey the room. After all, it was his room and that meant something about him. The room was bright and had high walls. One of them consisted only of windows and it was a nice room with a huge bed on which Ronnie had taken a seat. She walked around the room, looking out of the window, trying to stall for time somehow, because she didn't want to speak. But she couldn't put it off and the longer Ronnie didn't say anything, the angrier she got.
"You know," she started talking and turned around with her arms crossed, "It's really not nice as a girlfriend to hear from your brother about some secret crush who is also your duel partner that you obviously tried to hide from me. I have no idea how to feel about it, but I can tell you that it definitely doesn't make me happy. I'm not a girl who takes some currently empty seat before you then decide to take your other crush." She hissed back at him and turned back around. She didn't mean to be so emotional or jealous, but how could she not? She was imprinted and with the accusations, her boyfriend really didn't look good either with the things venice said.
As soon as the conversation between the two was over, they went back to the others. "You really have a great house." Complimented the Redhead to Ronnie's father as she sat back down at the table. "Great, and now you have time for the piano." Said Haley's father now. Damn, she had hopes he wouldn't bring it up again. But it was a Rose family Christmas tradition and obviously her father wasn't going to do without it this Christmas either. "Fine." She said and stood up, but then an idea struck her. "Izzy? Care to join me?"
The little girl seemed pleased, at least she got up and walked with Haley to the piano. "Okay, do you know silent night? What do you say you play that for me and I sing. If you like, you sing with me." She had the girl sit down on the stool and squatted down next to her so she could look her in the eye better. "Do you know how it goes?" she inquired, and if Izzy didn't know it, Haley would hum it for her and play it once. Depending, she would also help her play it. "You ready?" as soon as Izzy would give her a sign that she was ready, Haley would get ready too. She walked behind the girl to a spot on the piano where she could lean a little and nodded to the girl.
She tapped the keys and the room filled with the soft melody of Silent Night. Matching the melody, Haley gently banged her fist against the wall behind her, matching the beat. Matching it, she snapped her fingers and began to sing.
Just like that
As soon as the song ended she went back to Izzy, "That was amazing." She said to her with a warm smile before they sat back down at the table where her father was already beaming and clapping softly. "That was lovely you both. Just like every year." He said and now Haley was happy that she had made her father happy with that.
"Enzo, of course we brought a little guest & Christmas present too." Haley's mother opened the gift-giving. Haley got up and got the presents, she handed the present to Enzo, then she went to Izzy and Alex and gave them the little something she had brought. Then she went to Venice, at his place she put it extra slowly on the table in front of him and looked deep into his eyes. "Merry Christmas, Venice," she said with a fake smile before walking over to Ronnie. "And this is for you." She said and handed him the still wrapped box with all the letters.
As soon as everyone had finished with the presents, Haley and her parents would thank Enzo and his family for the wonderful evening and then say goodbye. Once home, Haley would just fall flat into bed and fall asleep in a few minutes. The next day came quickly and so she was in the bathroom in the morning, getting ready to be picked up by Ronnie for his surprise. She waited outside the hotel and sat on one of the stone steps of the stairs waiting for her boyfriend.

The boy follows Haley's movement silently as his girlfriend walk and bout observing his bedroom. The silence between them was killing him inside but Ronnie did not want to say anything that could cause a rifted between them. The silence was somehow a tad bit weird yet Ronnie somehow found a sanctuary in the silence.
Being silent and taking Venice's behavior without any retribution, definitely made him kind of suspicious about the Carina thing. Ronnie tried to say something but his mind came up blank. Haley then turned around and started talking.
"You know, It's really not nice as a girlfriend to hear from your brother about some secret crush who is also your duel partner that you obviously tried to hide from me. I have no idea how to feel about it, but I can tell you that it definitely doesn't make me happy. I'm not a girl who takes some currently empty seat before you then decide to take your other crush"His girlfriend definitely annoyed and Ronnie could sense the jealousy seeping from the words Haley just uttered.
Ronnie throw himself back to the bed and in a half-lying position, he let out an annoyed and frustrated groan. This is what happen when his jerk of a brother injected himself and decided it was a fun thing to create some kind of drama between the pair. With a huff, Ronnie gets up from his previous position. Haley's back now facing away from the blue-grey-eyed boy.
Ronnie clearly knows Haley is annoyed with him since back in the kitchen the redhead called Ronnie by his middle name and not with Ronnie or Verona. With caution steps, Ronnie stood behind Haley. His arms wrapped around his princess and hoping Haley did not push him away. Haley is a tall girl but Ronnie still got a few inches taller than her.
Ronnie then put his chin on top of Haley's head and let out a breath. "Me desculpe, meu amor I am sorry, my love"The boy said softly. Ronnie was the kind of guy that was not afraid to admit he was wrong. "There was a reason why I stay silent when Venice said the whole Carina thing,"The boy continued on.
"Venice is the 'anything you said will be use against you' type of person. So I thought by not saying anything to him, it would not give him other ammunition to attack you and me but I guess I chose poorly,"The Duellist said still in Haley's arms. "Carina, yes she is great, but she and I were just good friends. Nothing comes out of it,"Ronnie said.
It did not rest his case but he hope that Haley believe him. "I am sorry if what Venice said and I did hurt you,"Ronnie then kissed the back of Haley's head hoping the girl could feel his sincere apology and his adoration for the Gryffindor girl. The aura in his room is kind of bleak because of the little argument he had with Haley.
Ronnie could not stand and decided to hold Haley's hand and kissed the back of it. Ronnie then hold Haley's hand gently and hoped she did not smack his hand. With the gesture, Ronnie guide Haley back to the living room where all of the family members gathered. Haley then gave out a compliment to Ronnie's father about how a great house the Ramírez have.
Haley's father then asked or more like demanded Haley to play something at the piano. Haley then asked Izzy to accompany her. His youngest sister beamed at the girl and at all of the room attendees. Haley asked whether Izzy knows how to play it or not. The light brown-haired girl nodded her head. When Haley inquired if Izzy was ready, the 10 years old girl said 'You may begin now' in Portuguese which Alex helpfully translated for Haley.
The keys of Silent Night began to ring out throughout the room. As the soft melody of the songs filled out the room, Haley's opened her mouth and tapped along to the beat. Ronnie's jaws go slacked when he heard the tone of Haley's voice. He never heard his girlfriend sing before so this is a nice surprise for him.
Haley's voice is rich. It has a jazzy kind of vibe and a sexy yet smooth tone. Haley put her own unique rendition of the classic song. Ronnie could not have enough of his girlfriend's voice. And before they know it, the songs came to end. Ronnie clapped along with the other attendees and beamed from ear to ear.
"Yes, that was amazing, you two!"Ronnie parrotted what Haley said to his youngest sister. The conversation came back to normal and the highlight of the day had been done which is the gifts-giving, Haley took her time to give her presents to Ronnie's siblings. And when Venice received his gift from Haley, he made a crude gesture by kissing the air, winked at Haley, and happily said Merry Christmas to the Hogwarts student.
Ronnie gritted his jaw when he saw his brother act like a juvenile. Finally, Haley stood in front of him and give him his gift. Ronnie smiled although he did not know whether Haley was still mad at him because of the early incident. But Ronnie opted not to bring it up or say about it. "Thank you,"Ronnie politely said.
The day came to a close and both families said goodbye. Ronnie walked the Roses out the front door and kissed her cheek. "Merry Christmas, love.Thank you for the lovely evening and for your gifts. See you tomorrow!"Ronnie uttered. And when the door of his front house closed after the Roses had left the Ramírez household, in a flash, Izzy tore open the wrapping of her gift.
She then smiled broadly as she saw the content of the gift Haley had given to her.

There was a loud constant knock against Ronnie's bedroom door that made him jolted awake from his deep slumber. After the Roses left Ramírez household and all the remains of the presents had been opened later in the evening, Ronnie had a fight with Venice. It got so bad that both his father and oldest sister need to separate the boys.
That was why the reason Ronnie feel exhausted the next day. Ronnie opened his bleary eyes and wipe away the sleep from his eyes. He stretched out on his bed and began to prepare for the day. When Ronnie opened his door and was about to walk up to the bathroom located at the end of the hall Alex's voice ran out.
She told her youngest brother if he was by the next 15 minutes not ready, Alexa will leave the fourth-year boy behind. With the speed of light Ronnie showered and get dressed. Once both the Ramírez siblings were out of their house and begin their venture toward downtown São Paulo, Alex and Ronnie moved to separate ways.
Alex headed to the Brazilian Ministry of Magic while Ronnie continued his track toward the hotel where both Haley and her parents are staying. Today, Ronnie decided to wear his colorful long-sleeved shirt the one Manu wore in the pic that I use, golden brown jeans, and black sneakers on his feet.
To complete his look a black beanie is seated on top of his head. His blonde hair peeks a bit from under the beanie. From the distance, the boy had seen his beautiful girlfriend sitting on one of the stone steps of the stairs waiting for him. Once Ronnie stood in front of Haley, he bend down and kissed Haley's cheek.
"Ready for your surprise, mi amor? my love?"He asked and offered his hand for Haley to hold. Once the pair held hands, Ronnie would guide Haley toward the nearest train station and boarded the train that will take them to the next location Ronnie had planned for the day.
A few minutes of train ride later, since the ride was still a bit far away and long, they arrived not so far from the location Ronnie had in mind. The boy then stood in front of his girlfriend. "Before we go to the place I had in store can I put this on you?"Ronnie asked as he pulled out a black piece of fabric.
Once Haley gives him permission, Ronnie will tie the blindfold snuggly around Haley's eyes. The pair then continued their journey. A short walk later, both of the students arrived at the local dog shelter called 'Barks and LOL'. Ronnie let out a chuckle when he saw the sign. The smell of coffee and vanilla hit his smelling sense.
"Wait right there!"Ronnie let go of Haley's hand for a brief moment and some seconds later the boy come back and stood behind his princess. Ronnie gently and softly pries open the blindfold. In Haley's arms, a golden retriever pup snugs comfortably and looks at the redhead girl with those cute puppy dog eyes.
"Welcome to Barks and LOL, love! Now, our fun is beginning. Come on!"Ronnie girns like a little kid in a candy store and jogs backward towards the door that will lead them to the dog housings and a backyard garden to play with the other residents of the shelter.
