Classes were such a bore! Transfiguration? More like lamefigurarion! History of magic? More like History of boredom! What Ciel would give to have different classes! Care of the Magical Creatures sounded so fun! So why doesn't Ciel get the chance to take it? Why does she have to wait two more years? It's just not fair.
But no matter how boring her classes were, Ciel still wanted to pass. She'd never forgive herself if she failed her first ever year at a magical school. And her parents would also never forgive Ciel if she failed. No matter what happens, she didn't want to disappoint her mother and father. Especially not her dad- then he might ban her from horse-riding!
What was the topic again? Something to do with wizard ghosts. Ah, didn't all of the houses have resident ghosts? Maybe she should try asking her head of house- that would probably be a good place to start! But she should check the books in the library anyway, maybe there was something helpful in them.
"Hm-hm-hm!" Ciel hummed aloud, her fingers dancing across the spines of the books. Reading the titles, none of them seemed very helpful. How were dragons supposed to help her learn about ghosts? Was she in the wrong aisle? "Jeez, this stuff isn't very useful!"
After lurking through the aisle for another minute or so, Ciel grabbed the only book she thought might help her. The title was something like 'ghosts and wizards'- along the lines of that. She brought it to a table and plopped it down, making a slight boom noise. Woops!

Oliver was the quite kid. He didn’t like much drama or noise. He tended to avoid crowded places too. He didn’t socialize if he didn’t need to. He was up in his dorm grabbing his color pencils, sketch pad and paint. He was planning to head to the library to finish on his drawing. He needed to relax a bit after a long day of studying.
He entered the library and he started looking for a seat. As he walked he noted each of the rows. Too loud. Too quiet. Finally, he had found the one. Not too loud or too noisy. Just right. He took a seat beside a girl, Hufflepuff maybe? He put his sketch book down on the and started drawing.
It took him a while to finish the basic shape of the animal he was drawing. After a few minutes, he thought he should start coloring then painting it in. In the process, he spilled some paint. “Oh my gosh. Im so sorry!” he said to the girl as a few drops fell on her robes. He, mostly was the one wet. He offered her his handkerchief before getting his second one and started wiping the table.
His artwork was a bit wet. But he knew he could fix it too make the spill look like background design. He looked at the girl again. “Im really sorry. Im real clumsy at times… if only there were lessons for this kind of stuff.” he said embarrassed at what just happened.

Upon opening the book, Ciel flipped through the first few pages of the book. She was looking for certain keywords. Maybe something like "ghosts are like..." or "wizards and ghosts are..." but honestly, she wasn't finding anything she needed! Honestly, what's the point in publishing a book that seems dedicated to ghosts, and then not even include them!
The longer she continued flipping through the pages, the more frustrated she was starting to become. Annoyed with her (lack of) findings, Ciel went to go put the book up, only to be splashed with water from the boy sitting next to her- when did he even get there?
"Ugh, are you kidding me?" she groaned, moving the book away from the water as to not get it wet. Honestly, she couldn't even imagine how angry the librarian would be if she managed to get water on one of the library books. Would she even live to tell the tale? The thought made her shudder.
"Gosh, you really need to be more careful," she reprimanded. "What if you got this book wet? Then we'd both be in huge trouble!"
She was really getting huffy. First her book didn't contain any of the subjects she wanted it to, then this random guy splashed water all over her robes- ugh! Why was today going so horrible? And her work was really piling up- Ciel was so stressed.

Oliver apologize again. He didn't want this to happen... it was simply an accident. But of course, whenever he made a small mess up, he would get reprimanded. He was here to relieve stress, not to cause more especially to others. He grabbed his handkerchief and started wiping it on the table careful as to not cause more of a scene. He didn't like attention. He noticed that the book that the girl was holding was a bit wet. "Im sorry... it was an accident. Give me the book. You shouldn't get in trouble. It was my fault... I will give it to the Librarian" he said while wiping the last of the wet spots on the table. If anyone was going to get punished it was him. He was horribly clumsy. He didn't like the situation he was in. He wanted to just run away and pretend he never saw anything happen at all. But he knew the right thing to do. He got the book from the girls hands and wiped it a bit with his second dry handkerchief. After, he turned towards the librarian only a couple tabled away ready to tell her everything that had happened.

Today was just a no-good, very bad day. Honestly, nothing was worse than getting no work done and then getting doused with water. Well, maybe the only thing that sucked more would be getting work done and then having it ruined. Sheesh, at least that didn't happen to Ciel! Oh, but maybe there was a spell to undo the water? Ah, that would be a good thing to ask Rita about.
"It was my fault... I will give it to the librarian."
Well, at least he was taking responsibility, Ciel couldn't fault him for that. The real worst-case scenario would be the boy just sprints off and Ciel herself has to explain what happened. But then nobody would believe her! She was a hundred percent sure that there would be someone else out there who would lie in order to get out of trouble. But that wasn't Ciel, no way!
But what if he lied to the librarian? And then Ciel would get in way more trouble than if she had just admitted what had happened! She better follow him to make sure he didn't lie. Though he seemed a little too passive to do that, she was way better safe than sorry.
"I'm coming with you, then," Ciel stood up and went to follow him. "What made you even think it was a good idea to bring watercolor to the library?" He was a Ravenclaw, right? So, shouldn't he be much smarter than that?

Oliver was a bit surprised when she said she was going to come with him. It was like she didn't trust him. He wasn't that kind of person. He felt... a bit offended but he didn't let it show. "Alright. It wasn't like I was gonna flee. That's just stupid if I did." he said. It was her choice to trust him. He understood that she didn't want to get in trouble but he had just never been- not trusted. It was quiet foolish. He understood that too. How stupid could he be. He didn't like the events of today. He wanted to run but that was plain wrong.
He packed up his art materials and put them in a small box. Then together with the book and his art materials, he started walking towards the Librarian dreading what would come next. He saw the door. It was now or never. It was a straight ticket out of here. No trouble for him. No this is wrong! He told himself. He kept walking. He thought the girl was being very cautious of him. He approached the Librarian and said "Maam, I'm terribly sorry but I got one of the books wet. A girl was reading and I spilled some paint over it, I am willing to take full responsibility. I shouldn't have been drawing in here anyways." he said, ready to be screamed at. He wouldn't be shocked if she even hexed him. He was truly sorry.

While the boy said he didn't want to run away, the look on his face told Ciel a different story. He looked rather hesitant, but she had to appreciate that he didn't choose to spring out the door the second he got the chance. If it was Ciel, she might've had to take her shot and get out of the library before she got a lifetime ban!
Speaking of a lifetime ban... Ciel felt kind of bad that that punishment might be what the boy was receiving. Did he even have a name? He was a Ravenclaw, so that might've been why she couldn't recognize his face. But if he was a first year like he looked, then why didn't Ciel recognize him at the sorting ceremony?
Well, he was kind of tall so maybe he was a second or third year. Jeez, if that was the case, that would make his dumb actions seem even worse.
As the two approached the head librarian, Ciel felt her stomach tighten. She kinda wanted to run away from the library and hide under her bedcovers for the rest of eternity. Honestly, Ciel didn't really want the other boy to get in trouble.
"It was kind of my fault, too," Ciel admitted. "I probably should have noticed that he was painting and moved."
