The blinding light was making things difficult to say the least. In theory, it was nice that Meenuah couldn't cast spells but in reality, it didn't do much. Even without speaking, she managed to keep both of them in check simply by maintaining her spell. Eun-ji did try to hinder her right back and the slowing charm came out just fine however she missed her target in the end. It was not an unexpected outcome but that didn't mean she was happy about it.

Thankfully, at least Delilah's move worked out perfectly and Alec had experienced precisely what Eun-ji did the first round. His spell was absolutely perfect but it fizzled out the moment it touched Del's shield. She truly felt for the boy. It was a good effort. Perhaps next time he would be luckier...preferably in another duel though.

While Alec had manged some great wand work this time around, their opponents were two steps ahead of them, and Delilah was able to procure a shield charm before the spell landed. Alec let out a breath shaking his head. He didn't know if he would have ever been able to manage breaking or getting around the shield charm. perhaps it was time to think up another plan?

Well that was a whole load of.... nothing. Through the blinding light, Delilah was able to see the spell coming in her direction and flicked up a protego as fast as her wand would take her. Its a shame that that was seemingly the only success that happened that round out of everybody.

The duel was starting to get interesting - and Nessie thoroughly approved, not that her approval was needed. Actually, if anything it was the young co-captain who desired the approval of the duellists she watched, as they were all clearly more experienced than she was in duelling. She hoped to be like them one day.

The ball of light began to dissipate now that Meenauh moved to cast another spell, and this left Nessie dazzled instead by the duellists' talents. She watched as Meenauh's full body-bind missed Eun-ji, who cast the best general counter-spell that Nessie had ever seen, ending the effects of Alec's bravery charm.

But before the bravery could wear off, Alec cast an impediment jinx towards Delilah with such impressive precision that Nessie wasn't sure it would've been possible for anybody to get out of the way in time. And though Delilah was hit, it wasn't before she was able to cast an impeccable blindfolding spell of her own, which Meenauh was not able to escape from in time.

Typically, Nessie dreaded to see duellists hit by spells, as she still didn't like to watch her fellow students in pain. But this time, the spells used didn't seem too painful, and the young Hufflepuff felt a true admiration of the skills of the duellists she observed.

Her next cast was a miss. A difficult one to perform, but she dared. As a result of her hutzpa, she was put into darkness as a pleasant blindfold covered her eyes. This happened so fast that she failed to find out whether other spells reached their targets.

She smiled to the blindfold, remembering Galton's favourite spell, and an idea came to her head about how to twist this situation in an interesting way.

Another round another chance to mess up, they weren't doing great and they could be in a better position. Even so Alec felt they were fairing well considering their skill set, still they needed to do better if they wanted to win. He warily glanced Meenauh and the state she was in now, the other team had an advantage.

Eun-ji liked this. It was a difficult duel but it was a brainy one. She very much preferred this over the raw power that carried her previous ones. She was always taught to look after herself so spells like Incendio definitely weren’t her favourites. The witch knew they were necessary sometimes and they looked cool but being on the receiving end truly hurt. So far, this match didn’t really need it and she was grateful for that.

Finally, the blinding light started dissipating and Eun-ji was feeling a bit more confident. Definitely not as confident as Alec though. Something needed to be done about that. And so, just as Meenauh’s full body-bind curse missed her, the Ravenclaw threw a spell on her own. Thankfully, despite everything, it turned out perfectly. Alec did manage to hit her teammate but both girls were expecting as much. Sure, it would be great if both of them dodged but it was unlikely considering their circumstances. In any case, it was not that bad. Not to mention Del actually got to blindfold Meenauh so all things considered, this was definitely a good round for the Ravenclaw team.

This round definitely went in the Ravenclaws favour, although it was unpleasant and all around not preferred that she was hit with impedimenta, she could deal with it. There was very little in duelling that Delilah couldn't deal with, between her healing abilities and her strong defensive tactics, duelling generally made Del feel on top of the world. Until she gets hit with something like damn impedimenta.

The duel was fast-paced, with spells flying once more. Amidst all the spellwork, Meenauh was able to safely remove the blindfold that she'd recently acquired.

As if in answer to his teammate's plight, Alec cast a blindfolding spell of his own towards Delilah, who was unable to avoid the Gryffindor's impressively aimed spell.

One blindfold removed, another applied. Such was duelling.

Meanwhile, the Ravenclaw team showed impressive coordination as well, with Eun-ji casting another beautiful general counter-spell, this time to lift the effects of the impediment jinx from her partner. And before the blindfolding spell had reached Delilah, she'd cast a knockback jinx towards Alec, and the spell had just barely missed.

Nessie breathed a sigh of relief, as the gentle young Hufflepuff was quite pleased that she didn't have to worry over anybody's safety at the moment. Although she'd noticed that the tide of a duel could change in an instant, and she kept a careful eye on the duellists just in case.
