Gavin frowned, but conceded to let Cal go ahead. If he had to, he would track the other down. As it was, the brunette left the compartment to find the trolley. Instead of starting to draw again, he just sat there tapping his leg. He wasn't impatient, but something about the train ride just made him nervous. Not really the train ride itself, but more the concept of being surrounded by people he didn't know very well, he supposed. He didn't know how to behave.

When Cal got back, he passed the frog to the blonde before promptly opening his own. Gavin didn't even try to hide the chuckle the frog trying to escape drew from him. "Well, at least you caught it," he remarked before swiftly eating his own. Unlike the brunette, the way he ate the frog was more... torturous. To the frog. He ate it in two bites instead of one, biting off the top half before eating the bottom.

"Oh! I got Morgan le Fey! She's Merlin's nemesis, wasn't she? And King Arthur's half-sister..." the other boy announced, looking down at the card.

Gavin nodded. "I remember reading that," he confirmed.

"Which one did you get?"

"Hmm..." Gavin looked down at the card in his box. "I got Mopsus. The description says he was an "Ancient Greek soothsayer who vanquished the Seer Calchas in a conquest of their powers," he read off, showing the image to the other. "I've actually never heard of him before. That's pretty interesting."

Ah yes, I know of Simon. And yeah, they're probably in Hogsmeade if they're anywhere. Thank you for the card! Unfortunately, I don't actually know how exchanging money in-game functions-
I would also like to add that I will not be able to do nearly as much posting because of my school's extra-strict phone policy.

Cal watched with part humor and part horror as Gavin ripped the head of his frog.
After reading out his card Calvin thought for a moment before saying: "Huh, yeah I've never heard of him before either. That is quite fascinating. Greek soothsayer huh? Sounds serious.".
Cal examined over his own card for a moment, moving it at different angles peering at the three-dimensional witch. He looked back at Gavins Mopsus.
"What a cool card" thought Cal.
Cal's own Morgan card had since become vacant, as the character disappeared to one of the sides, clearly up to something more important than standing in frame.
He stuffed the card into his pocket and once again peered out the window. They were getting close now. The landscape had changed noticeably, and the sky was turning a shade darker as time marched on.
He decided to look over his own collection of books. Cal withdrew Hogwarts, a History, and opened to a random chapter outlining the different charms taught through the ages. Not particularly interested in the particularly dry history, and with his mind racing about the coming night ahead, Cal didn't remember a word he read.
He was however a little relieved that he had made an acquaintance in the time he had spent thus far on the Hogwarts Express. It made the prospect of braving the sorting ceremony a little less daunting.
Content with the ride, he succumbed to his inner thoughts and zoned out.

Gavin nodded. It is pretty neat. Although, soothsayer literally means seer, so it’s a bit of an odd description,” he conceded, whispering the last part. He put it back in the box and put the box in his trunk, turning back to his sketchbook.

Hmm…” He looked back up to Cal, who had begun to pull a book of his own out. The sunlight was beginning to wane, but there was still enough to focus on things…

Hey, do you mind if I draw you?” he asked, twirling the pencil between his fingers as the fingers on his other hand smoothed over the paper.

Regardless of the answer, he began drawing. If the answer was yes, he would begin sketching the other boy. Otherwise, he would end up sketching something from memory. He was particularly fond of birds, although their feathers could be complicated. It was always easier to draw with a reference.

He would spend the time doing that, drawing until the light was so low he had to strain to make sense of what was on his page and was unable to make out the details at all. His father said that was a good way to ruin your eyesight. He didn’t have glasses yet, though.

Sounds good to me.
I don’t actually require a response to this, it can be left up to interpretation. Thank you for participating, though!
I wrote this entire post on a google docs on my school chromebook.

"Sure thing." said Cal.
He watched Gavins's pencil dance across the page. It wouldn't be long now before they made landing at the platform. Cal slowly lost himself again to the thoughts racing in his head. The most pressing question was what house he would be sorted into. HIs father had been a Ravenclaw, and his Mother a Hufflepuff. He wasn't too concerned with where he got placed, but more so finding friends among classmates. Since he hadn't many friends back home, he hoped it wouldn't be difficult to meet people here.
This is why he was happy he had met Gavin. Perhaps they would see each other in classes and around the castle in the future.
With that thought we slumped into his seat and picked back up his book, which was more to shield himself in thought than for actual reading, and continued to overthink the rest of the train ride to Hogwarts.
