Communication is the key. This is a roleplay community, no one should feel forced to play out a story that they don't want to play, I am sure you can somehow instrumentalize this situation for something that both your characters can benefit from! Maybe they realize that their feelings are of more platonic nature and grow into close friends instead. Or maybe they really do have a heartbreaking break up and learn about the downsides of relationships- the possibilities are endless!
