Magic!
Kody was walking around Hogwarts and entered a courtyard. He heard the steps of students at Hogwarts, it created a slight rhythm to the ears. He thought quietly, Now is a perfect time to study some magic. In his right arm, he held a journal and some books. In his left, he was carrying a quill and his wand. Kody sat on the ground with a thump. He set his journal and book pile to the left of him. He placed his quill on top of the pile.
Kody was never exposed to the magical world at an early age, most students who went to Hogwarts were. He was muggle-born, so he wasn't able to learn magic at the least, or know it was even real. The first time he should potential magic had to do something with a cat. Strange right? Although he wasn't exposed to magic right away, he still can do some.
Kody picked up his 24, 8-centimeter chestnut wood and phoenix feather wand. He tried to loosen his grip on the wand so he could move his hand easily. Kody tried to not loosen his grip too much that he'll drop the wand. He flipped through pages of his, Book of Spells, until he found an easy spell, Lumos. He said the incarnation required to perform the spell. "Lumos!"

Magic!
Yuki couldn't make out the strange guy walking to her and James. She was quite freaked out because the man was all black and you could barely even see his eyes, or any part of his face to be exact. Yuki saw that the strange man was holding a wand, but it was oddly shaped. His wand looked like a square, but also like a circle.
Yuki then remembered the spell she did in the hall called 'Wingardium Leviosa' and how her quill flew almost to the roof of it. She knew that if she did this she wouldn't be able to use her wand after that, because she would have to be keeping the item floating. Yuki noticed Kody was sitting on the ground not far from where James and her were. She knew if she did what she was planning Kody would have to be able to see what was going on and help James defend them or whatever. Yuki didn't have much time to think so she decided that James and Kody could deal with the foe.
"Wingardium Leviosa!" Yuki yelled and made a 'U' shape and then swiped her wand down and pointed it at the foes wand. She watched as the foe's wand twist and turn in his bag and then went flying high into the air. Now all Yuki could do was hope that James could handle the rest and that Kody could help as well.

Magic!
James, confused at what to do in the moment, took off both of his gloves and flipped through the pages of the book of spells. One spell caught his eye, and felt like it would be effective in the moment. Petrificus totalus. A spell that temporarily paralyzed any foe. It seemed like it could do the trick for the situation, so he glanced at the hand gesture, held up his chestnut wood wand, and preformed the spell. He moved his wand in the motion the book described, all whilst saying the incantation. "Petrificus totalus." James said, holding his wand up to his opponent. Suddenly, the man fell onto the ground, and his face and body looked to be as flat and emotionless as a rock. He grabbed his wand and observed it, but he couldn't quite make out the wood or core. Nevertheless, he decided to stuff it into his bag in case he ever needed it in the future. He was too focused on fighting the enemy that he didn't even realize what he had even done. He had preformed a spell properly for the first time. He would have been amazed, if it not had been for the threating appearance of the man. He didn't get much time to celebrate, but took a glance at the man's paralyzed body.

Magic!
Yuki lowered her wand now that she didn't have to keep the foes wand in the air. Of course she still wasn't sure what to do, but she was sure she could find something to do. The foe was paralyzed now and keeling on the ground.
"Tell us, who you are, and why your here." Yuki said as a sign to the enemy to tell him that James and her were strong and weren't gonna be easy to defeat. Of course, Yuki still wasn't sure if the man was actually trying to hurt James and her, but she wasn't a person who takes chances.
Yuki is the type of person who takes action fast, once she has an idea about what's going on, she puts it into action. She heard a faint growl from the man on the ground.
"I was just, heading to the school." the man scowled to Yuki and James. "Then why were you coming from the other side of the courtyard? The only way into this courtyard is through one of the gates in the hallway, and we came from the middle so we would have saw you." Yuki said back to the man.
The man growled again and stayed silent. Yuki didn't know what to do with the strange man, but she knew that they just couldn't just keep him here and wait for someone else to find him.

Magic!
The man stood still on the solid ground, unable to move. However, he had a look as though he wanted to squirm in place. James looked at the wand, twirling it around in his hands. It was a bright red, with a odd handle that resembled a wing with its curve and odd lines. The tip was straight, yet had a thick point to it. He understood how to calculate basic measurements after hours of math classes, and thought it was approximately 14 inches or 35.5 centimeters. When holding it, a beam shot into the distance, and James quickly put it on the ground. While Yuki was questioning the man, James examined his body, looking for any sort of sign as to why he might be in Hogwarts. Then, James found an odd, bright yellow hair that seemed to be from a unicorn. He looked back to the wand, and came to the conclusion to look for unicorn hairs to recharge his wand. More specifically, he was there to enter the forbidden forest.
James let out a sigh of relief, and flipped through his book for a way to undo the curse he inflicted onto the man. He found a spell able to wipe any sort of curse- finite incantatem. He gripped on to his wand, pointed it forward directly at the man, and let out a loud and powerful, "Finite!" And suddenly, the man's eyes opened up widely. He placed his hands onto the hard, dry dirt that the four were standing on, and let out an odd dirty look while starring James in the face. James held out the man's wand, and the man quickly grabbed it without hesitation. "Your lucky I don't use that spell on you." said the man, marching off into the distance before saying, "Accio broom!" Suddenly, a tall, wooden broom came to the man, and he hopped onto the broom before flying away. James gave a quiet chuckle when he saw the man spin around and try to find a balance whilst on the broom. "Back to practicing, I guess?" James said, shrugging his shoulders in confusion, as he didn't really know what to do next.
