Better now than later open closed

My mum had told me that I could dye my hair blonde during Christmas Break. I had been asking her for ages, and she said that after I turned 12 I could dye my hair. She was even kind enough to send me the dye and everything this week! She had also told me not to do it too early, but did I listen? No... I could be patient, but I wasn't that patient. I preferred not to wait for late December...I pulled out the kit, carefully read the instructions, did all the beforemath stuff like wash my hair, and started to apply the dye. I put a plastic head wrap over my hair and waited. This was gonna take at least 30 minutes to an hour. I sighed, pulled out a book, and st. And waited some more. I looked at my watch...and waited some more. It was practically agony. About forever and a minute later, I pulled off the plastic wrap and smiled, satisfied with the result. Some red was still visible, making me look like a strawberry blonde, but still, it was pretty great. I was getting ready to put everything away when I heard the door open behind me. I gasped and jumped, forgetting that I still had the hair wrap on. "Hello?" I asked. "Please excuse the mess..."
