After Hours
@Lexie Sereno @Cassandra IronwoodsRebecca rolled his eyes. "Merlin, yes. I haven't met a single Ravenclaw yet that didn't deserve a good jinx--" ahead of him, Lexie stumbled over her own feet and nearly toppled over. He quickly reached out and caught her shoulder to steady her.
"Oi, don't go breaking your neck on me," he snickered. She seemed flustered, and quickly changed topic.
"Anyway, next time, we're going to the Slytherin common room, alright? I need to see the terrible circumstances you Slytherins are under," she shoved him gently and he knocked his elbow back at her in retaliation.
"Of course! I promise." He smiled, eyes glittering in the darkness. "It'll be fun! My friends might pitch a fit if they knew though, I think Colin has a bit of a complex about Slytherin, to be honest. Gave the first years a whole speech after the sorting," he pitched his voice lower and wiggled his fingers ominously, "'The Proud! The Regal! The Cunning! The House of Intrigue!'"
Rebecca rolled his eyes. "It sounded to me like the 'house of puffed-up gits.' But anyways, he's one of my best mates now, and I figure I belong here better than I would anywhere else."
He glaced at Lexie thoughtfully. "I figured I might end up in Gryffindor at first, to be honest. But I guess I didn't pass in the chivalry department."
No one else in his family had been in Slytherin. He knew that his parents wouldn't be upset, they weren't the type to judge based on that sort of thing, but still. He had genuinely been surprised, and a bit worried he'd spend the next seven years surrounded by elitist pricks. It wasn't like that though, his housemates were not backstabbing minature Hitlers (and he'd quickly decided that he looked rather good in green.)
Sorry for the slower response, I'll be quicker about it now that tests are over

After Hours
Glad Rebecca agreed about the her controversial take on Ravenclaws, Lexie smiled, though the darkness masked it well. "Complete superiority complex, that lot."
He agreed to take her to the Slytherin common room next time, and her mind flashed with images of what she thought it would look like. Snake statues, dark furniture with silver accents, and that mysterious green color plastered all over the place. She hadn't bothered trying to find it herself (the basement gave her shivers), but with the help of a Slytherin, it would be a piece of cake.
With nothing else to say, the two continued their journey up. Lexie had lost count of the staircases, but a quick glance to her left revealed the rehearsal room. Wasn't that on the fourth floor? "This must be the floor, but this doesn't look that familia-" The sound of something moving stopped her mid sentence, and she swiftly whipped her head back. Apart from a hanging lantern slightly swinging in the air, everything was absolutely still.
Dismissing it as nerves, Lexie looked back at Rebecca. "Uh, anyway. I think it might be another floor up?" The sight of a lavatory and another set of staircases at the end of the corridor verified her theory.
