Quidditch Hufflepuff Vs. Gryffindor- Fall 2022

The crowd was going wild. Ethan was cheering loudly for his team, Gryffindor. They were up against Hufflepuff, and it was an intense match. Another Hufflepuff player had just gotten knocked off their broom, but the star chaser was still scoring. Even though Gryffindor was behind points, Ethan refused to give up hope. He knew they could still win.

Stanley's watched in awe as Howard scored five goals for Hufflepuff. He was just so amazing and was carrying on in the game like a camp when there was barely any teammates left! "Yay Howard!" Stanley shouted punching his fist into the air and smiling. His once unhappy mood had slowly changed. Maybe they could win this game. Maybe he could end his Quidditch games on a happy note.

How a game of quidditch could become a blur. Cheers from the crowd would blend with grunts of exertion and the occasional cry of agony from those over the pitch in a mix of pandemonious activity. All of it would rush by Marshal’s senses, yet it would only amplify the focus to be placed upon his target.

Howard Quaffle Grab- Uncontested

Unchallenged on the pitch, Howard would secure the quaffles with ease. The act of passing them through the posts would likely prove just as effortless a part of the game as breathing. With Gryffindor on the offensive elsewhere, Hufflepuff would secure a momentous lead.

First to act, Marshal would send another curveball in the direction of Howard's path. The sound of the impact would likely sicken the boy. The ricochet would catch "Beefcakes Annie" in an awkward position sending them tumbling to the ground at an alarming rate. Pax would tack additional injury to their injuries by sending Ethen an invitation to the ground. An invitation he could not refuse. The ricochet would clobber the already wobbly Howard, sending all three Huffles to meet what sleep paralysis demons awaited them in the hospital wing.

But hope was not lost. Ethen, speeding towards his doom, would seize the snitch out of the air like a champ. Elena would of course match his enthusiasm, the two becoming embroiled in the beginning of what was probably a bitter rivalry. Ethen, with his grip of steel, would retain the snitch but not consciousness. Elena would at least manage to let go before a collision, if she wanted to avoid the crying incapacitated mass grave group hug of victorious Hufflepuffs that now lined the bottom of the pitch.

"Hufflepuff secures the snitch after giving it their all! Congratulations!"

Annie had a gut feeling. It was going to be the last round. It was her, Howard and Ethen. There were very little options, but they had to hold their own against the looming threat and unavoidable doom the Gryffindor team had already caused so many of their teammates. Hearing the whistle, she kicked off into the air, hearing the noise they had attached the quaffle gave her an indication that it was being moved. As cheers echoed from behind her, it seemed Howard was the person scoring the goals. That was one less person to worry about, she'd quickly switch her attention, trying to listen to the movement of the brooms whooshing by. It was difficult, being put on save duty was not ideal given her condition.

Suddenly a crack, right in front of her. The noise was a familiar and unsettling one. A bludger colliding with one of the beater's bats. And Hufflepuff didn't have any beaters left on the field. She'd wait for the impact, yet it never came, instead it had targeted someone else who had miraculously been in the right or wrong place at the time. Taking the reins, she'd grasp the broom handle tight and dive. Being so close had given her the advantage to grab her falling teammate and practically throw him over the side of her broom. She hadn't released the breath she was holding though, there was no time to get comfortable or re-focus on the game.

The bludger after hitting Howard and managed to re-target itself and collide with the two now sharing a broom. Howard got grazed by it, but it was enough to send the boy toppling off her broom. Annie received the brunt of the pain though, a hard hit to the stomach made her react and cover her stomach with her hands. The broom slipped from underneath her and then started her descent. Grasping onto the edge of consciousness, she heard what sounded like cheering coming from the stands. So Gryffindor finally caught the snitch? Only after they took out their entire team. At least they put up a good fight. She'd fall unconscious, luckily moments before hitting the ground so she didn't feel the hard collision. At least it was all over.

But little did she know the actual outcome of the match.
