A Kindling Friendship Finished

When Amaya woke up, she resolved that she was going to apologize to Mae. Grabbing her platform, she threw it off, deeper into the forest.

Then she paused. Mae was probably back at her house. Amaya looked down at her feet.

Then she raised her head once more, fueled by her fiery determination. Drawing her head higher, and squaring her shoulders, Amaya marched away from the back of the Herbology greenhouse, ignoring the stray, strange looks she was getting. She may have been a Slytherin, but that didn’t mean she wasn’t loyal. No.

Instead, she only wanted more to keep her treasured friendship with Mae strong, and as she knew all too well, Slytherins chased after what they wanted. With everything they had.

She decided she’d go to the Library, and see if she could find Mae there. After all, she knew that the girl was bookish, like her, and a Ravenvlaw. It was really her best chance of finding the girl.

But then she felt a small anger, a small spark she quickly stamped down. Yes, the girl hadn’t bothered to find her, but she was the one who walked away in the first place.
