Aurelia knew of the hexwizard occurring that day, it was the talk of the school for the entire month and she was intending to be there to give her support, but not quite for her own school. However, she had noted the time of the event wrong. Half past 12 she thought. Tardiness was uncharacteristic of herself, but Aurelia had noted that she had been quite troubled as of late - she had to do something about it eventually. Aurelia had even contemplated not making her way to spectate the hexwizard, but decided against it for the sole reason that her boyfriend would be playing and Aurelia would be there to support from the sidelines. At this point, Aurelia was just overly dependent on her owl form. Flying was way more efficient in getting around, more so when navigating the sporadical staircases within the old Scottish castle. Her wings fully extended as she flew through the ballroom's threshold just as its great doors were closing. Above, she would circle like a vulture for a while. She couldn't quite identify anyone just by heads of hair from a birds-eye view, but even then, the transformation of costumes was dazzling and quite impressive.

Shortly, finding someone she knew in the spectators with her keen owl eyesight chatting with another. Her new friend Alec Mason. Truth be told, Aurelia didn't have too many friends, her best friend Falentra seemed to be absent the past month, and wherever she was, it wasn't within this ballroom. As worrying as that was prior to the Slytherin being named Hogwarts champion's special person. Nevertheless, The avian swooped down intending to land on the empty space of the bench, but instead, the massive owl found herself tumbling into Alec when a loud screeching of a spectator coming from the stands spooked her, throwing her off the accurate trajectory if only in the slightest. The owl let out a surprised shriek of her own at the very ungraceful landing and a puff of feathers fluttering about comically upon impact - how embarrassing. Owleia had some decency not to morph back into her human form right then, instead, waddling awkwardly on her talons across the runway of laps to the intended space on the bench. She would regain her form, revealing her identity to Alec and those in the near vicinity show-off:P.
"Hi, Alec. What about Howard's special person? Falentra? Who is Kolya?" Aurelia asked trying to mask her mishap by casually dropping in on the conversation as if she had been present for the most part. "Who's your friend here? I'm Aurelia, nice to meet you," She greeted the other person (@George Henry) seated by Alec who was dressed in very prominent Hufflepuff colours. "And you too," she acknowledge the redhead girl @winnie harper next to him with a curt smile. Aurelia was sure she had attended her birthday once yet her name she failed to recall. "Durmstrang queen? It better not be Lysander you're booing at, hun." She warned fixating her gaze on the matches.
aurelia has landed in the spectator in owl form. anyone can @ me and mention your char noticing her transformation in your post if you want it to be future ic knowledge for your character. please make sure it makes sense.

Hugh got his face stuck in a furrowed brow. "No, it's not like tha-" He'd start as a bottle got pushed into his hand. Brock had always been a curious guy. Straightforward and predictable (according to Hugh), though, just the way the giant liked it. It wouldn't be Brock if he tried to do things his way. "But yes." Hugh agreed. "She'd be one of the people in here that understands." Serena was, after all, one of them. Another victim in a long line of people who either got hurt or had to fear getting hurt for who they were.
His eyes fell upon the goblin that was being escorted out. "What will they do with him? Should we help him out?" Hugh was already halfway up from his seat, ready to jump into action should he be called for. Until his eyes got pulled back to the games in front of them. This game was a mess. He knew what Serena was capable off, but within the confinements of the game, he wasn't sure if she or her team was going to make it out of there. Still, it was a very strong team, he'd say. They seemed to know how to give the others hell.
The young giant took a swig from his bottle and pulled a painful grimace. It wasn't really something he liked at all. But he decided that since he accepted it, he had to finish it. He wondered what Brock thought of the place. If he found it disgusting or entertaining. It wasn't every day you got to hang around in a magical castle like this. And if there was any resentment towards magical society, this was basically the grooming grounds of its future. Kind of terrifying to think of it like that, hugh thought to himself.

@Anastasia VarneyHouse Colours: GryffindorWatching the first maneuvers of the game, Piérre observed his brother speaking with that albino again. Despite himself a small twist of distaste began to curl his facial features the longer he watched and observed the interaction. This albino... The Seeker, the boy knew well enough... yeah. He had beaten the Durmstrang Quidditch team while he had been on the Gryffindor team, when Evelynn had made an incredible snatch of the snitch and where Piérre himself had been responsible for actually guarding hoops and catching people if they fell. He had quit the team abruptly after that... and apparently Romeo had rejoined the team.
Hm, Piérre wondered why. And, if memory served, they had won their summer game against Ravenclaw recently, hadn't they?
Ha... yeah, Piérre wouldn't have been surprised if it turned out that the strategy had his twin's fingerprints all over it.
His fingers curled a little tighter in Figaro's fur, causing the poor bengal to mew loudly for a second as if to remind the boy that he was yanking on a living animal's fur in the strains of his distress. With a mumbled apology, Piérre quickly brushed his kitten's fur down again and tried to soothe him with a gentle hand and scritch between his ears the way that Piérre knew that he liked. Biting his lip again, Piérre watched the game begin, and how his brother sat quietly on the bench as if it were no big deal.
Yeah. Ignore the cameras and the photographers. M-hm... slowly becoming an influencer, huh? How do you like it? Is it fun?
Was that really what Romeo was fond of, or was it just an unwanted side effect? If it was Piérre, he knew that he personally would have purposefully shied away from the attention and the flashing lights... Unwanted attention that he neither merited nor liked. Certainly, he liked spotlights, but only when he could control how much limelight he was getting at any given moment... too much power could go to someone's head, after all. That was just as dangerous as being ignored altogether.
Lost in thought, the boy would nearly jump out of his skin when he was spoken to and glance towards the girl who had spoken to him with a look of startled surprise before he calmed himself enough to assess the situation. "Oh... I... uh..." The Britalian flushed a bit in embarrassment at his silly worry and he averted his eyes towards the ground. "Y-yeah..." He responded quickly. "Yeah! I'm just fine!" He smiled again, chipperly, green eyes aglow again as he began to interface with this new-- judging solely on the Durmstrangian crest on her leather jacket-- Durmstrang student. "Here to cheer on Durmstrang, I suppose?" He tested the waters lightly, continuing to stroke Figaro quietly. The bouncing of his left knee continued slightly, which caused his steady silver bengal to purr a bit louder in an attempt to further soothe his heightening in anxiety brother. "Cool, cool... must be pretty cold that far up north, colder than here, even..."
He continued to watch the game, though, perhaps it would be more accurate to say that he was watching his brother on the bench. Needling green eyes that continued to bore into the back of Romeo's titian-haired skull. At least the albino was on the board... away from Romeo...
Which Piérre really wanted to speak to... and make sure that, well, maybe... they could stitch things up? Now, how exactly would that go?
'Hey brother! Remember when I Flipendo'd you in the chest last year? Man, fun times, right? ... Please take me back?'
It was an almost laughable thought. Hardly worth thinking about, let alone actively pursuing...
But Valetin, that albino...
Mm... he had to go. If there was any chance at all whatsoever of stitching this up, Piérre needed Romeo alone and to himself. A nice, long chat. Whatever came from it... Piérre wanted to will his brother to understand. Wanted to ensure that there was no confusion... just...
The Britalian wanted his brother back... he didn't want to have this... open rancor hanging over his head. It didn't feel good, and maybe that was part of the reason he had been feeling sick all school year so far?
Maybe? Hopefully?
Well, one could hope and dream, anyways.
Figaro stretched over Piérre's legs quietly, continuing to purr and flexing his claws once in the air before letting out a creaky meow and attempting to push his face into Astrid's hand to get a good scent on this young girl. Like any good dog cat, Figaro had a habit of retaining certain smells and people; after all, Piérre had a habit of sending private notes by cat collar. Perhaps he would have to send a letter to this girl for whatever reason someday. It would be good to get a sense of this person and how they conducted themselves around his human brother.Action: Interface with Astrid Olsen, Observing Game 2

October was a fun time of year at Hogwarts. It was a transition between a cool Summer and a wet Winter within the Scottish Highlands and leaves on the trees showcased their golden shade for miles. Classes were starting to finally make sense and the holidays began - first with Halloween and the Fall Dance, and before one would know it - Christmas would be upon them.
The chiller days brought many inside and with it brought more togetherness within the castle walls. It was just overall a good time of the year. This year, they had an extra special occasion to bear witness to that particular season because the first task of the Hexwizard Tournament was upon them.
Simon hadn't put in his name as he felt his skills in wandcasting were far under par, but he did wish to be in the audience. This was an event that was big in the wizarding world, not just their school of Hogwarts. The nights prior to now, he and AngelFyre had been busy in the Common Room, creating something they could use to cheer on their representative. Neither of them knew Howard White or ever spoke to him, but he was a dhampir, he was a Hufflepuff, and he was the chosen Hogwarts champion. How could they not cheer him on? They would go and be two of Howard's "fangirls" much similar to the ones they had met at a concert the prior Summer.
Many of the most eager students had already filtered in, but as he and AngelFyre entered into the Ballroom to see the three chessboards laid out, there were still plenty of good seats to be had. "You lead the way. Your sight is better than mine," he teased, sort of meaning her sight as a seer. He squeezed her hand as they entered.
"TEAM HOGWARTS, BABY! YOU'VE GOT THIS! COME ON, HOWARD! SHOW THEM HOW IT'S DONE!" he yelled out.

ㅤ──────────────────────| ── | It was getting crowded. Not that it hadn't been crowded before. But more and more people were spilling into the ballroom. Despite the chatter and loud noises all around them, Kim heard a familiar voice ring out above the din. Colin's "CLAAAIIIRRR!!!" could be heard and a faint smile appeared on his lips for a brief moment. Before it disappeared again. Colin and Clair were there. It was nice to know that they were still around and had come together, possibly? Kim was glad he hadn't asked Colin to go with him if that had been the case. He wouldn't have wanted the boy to feel bad about turning him down. There were so many people here. It was - Kim stopped himself from thinking about it. The amount of bodies in the area didn't matter. Considering it would only lead to bad things and right now he was doing fairly well at managing his condition. As long as he didn't think too much about it and people didn't crowd around him, Kim thought he would be fine. For now at least. This wasn't exactly the kind of situation he thrived in and although it was like being in a club, it also was quite different. Clubs you knew how many would show up and most of the school didn't tend to come to the meetings. This was a rather historic event in all of the wizarding world. The first ever Hexwizard Tournament. That in turn meant everyone wanted to attend and as a result countless numbers of people were expected to arrive. Not just from Hogwarts but from all the foreign schools too. Kim was pulled from his thoughts when Bailey spoke. "Well, maybe you should have a new title then. Instead of Ray of Sunshine, you should be my Princess of Sweets. After all, I'm called the Prince of Sweets and every prince needs a princess, right?" He said with an arched brow, teasing her a little. Well, it wasn't really much of a tease, but it was something at least! Bailey did make him feel better most of the time. Even right now, she was distracting him from two things. Two things he didn't want to think about. Because thinking about either might make him break down. "I'll probably have both. Pretty hungry now that I'm here." And it would also help to have something to do with his mouth and hands. Kim glanced over at Bailey. She'd said she could go for either, which implied she wanted one or the other and not both. But she hadn't exactly stated which one she'd want and until he knew that he couldn't go get the food! That is, unless she was the one who wanted to go get them? Okay, this was a bit awkward to figure out. If he asked her if she wanted him to go... Well, what if Bailey thought he wanted her to go? And what if Bailey wanted him to go get the food? But at the same time, Kim didn't want her to think she had to go from his words. However, he also didn't want to go if Bailey really wanted to do it herself... and thus the awkwardness now. Kim's eyes averted for a moment and caught sight of his roommate Alec Mason not too far away from them. Ah lovely, of course he was there. But for some reason, the orange haired boy didn't feel too bothered by seeing him around the area. It was almost comforting to see that he was still there. Kim shook his head a little, wondering why he was feeling almost nostalgic. How strange. A sigh escaped his lips, without him meaning to do so. It was only when Alec turned his face a bit to talk to an unfamiliar face to Kim that he realized his lips were darker than usual. At first he thought Alec might have been wearing dark makeup or lipstick but it didn't quite look the same. There were also darker marks extending out from his lips too, which gave him a rather creepy look rather than nice look. Yes, it probably wasn't makeup or something he'd done intentionally, which made Kim's brow furrow. What was going on with him? Also, since when did he care so much about Ali? Ali was the boy who always bullied him all the time! But perhaps without realizing it, Kim had come to 'care' about him. If he scooted closer and tried to listen....... He'd probably be able to overhear him. That is, should he want to. Which he didn't, right? Of course not. Why would he want to pay attention? ────────────────────── ㅤ ㅤ──────────────────────

Although Flash had attempted to sit somewhere that was relatively unpopulated, it didn't mean it would stay that way. His eyes would be taken away from the match by the feverish flashing of camera lamps in his direction-- or rather, not far behind him, where Flash would be confronted by the sight of Thomas' bare chest... again. It was astonishing to him that in the very little time he had spent side-by-side with the enigmatic pariah, he would have multiple occasions to remember such a sight. While perhaps somewhat flustered, Flash would get over it quickly. It was just Thomas' way of self-protection, a kind of brusque action to warn people away. By his expression it was clear he had not expected all of the extra attention. This would also be Flash's first time hearing that he had become Howard's 'special person' in lieu of Falentra. Why?
Not able to keep his curiosity to himself, nor having anyone to prevent him from falling in with the wrong crowd, Flash would get up and move to sit beside Thomas. It would look as though he was answering his open call for bets, though there were a great deal more reasons for Flash's desire to talk with him. Not only were they both victims of the Marion, but Flash had relied on Thomas to decide what to do with the evil eye. With his and Burnett's decision to burn it, Flash would now be looking at Thomas with two blue eyes, both able to see. It was something he couldn't even have imagined was possible after his eye had been stolen, and he was still adjusting after having worn an eye patch for the last seven months of his life.
"The whole thing, or just this match?" Flash would ask, smiling for some unknown reason. Against all odds and reason, Flash always looked forward to talking to Thomas. He had been surprised how little objection he had to his company, from fight club, to hockey game, to Quidditch bench, to ballroom, and more. He had charming wit and cunning intelligence hidden beneath his porcupine quills, despite being a fifteen-year-old stuck in third year. "Either way, it seems like an awfully toothless bet."
Not far away, and having been addressed by Thomas a moment earlier, Miss Winnie would be as energetic as ever, and thankfully not accompanied by her obnoxious boyfriend. Flash couldn't help but find the occasion fortuitous, given he had recently had her on his mind. He had his bag with him, which had the leather satchel he kept his own brewed potions in. At the start of the year, he had begun to brew them in his spare time. Many of them were ones that he needed for focus at school as he struggled with the inability to sleep, which coincidentally was helpful for other strangeness that had been bothering him.
After his first acquaintance with Winnie, he would be lent a book to read, only to find that once he returned it, their acquaintance had been completely forgotten, as if erased. In fact, she had failed to recognize that Flash had previously not had heterochromia, something fairly impossible to miss. Now, she would be seeing him with his original pair of bright blues as he addressed her. "Ah, Miss Winnie. I had been meaning to give you something."
Reaching into his bag, he would produce a small vial of amber fluid, reaching over with his long arms to place it in her hand if she were to accept it. Otherwise he would hold it aloft in front of her as he explained, "It's Memory Potion. I was thinking of you when I made it."

It definitely was getting more crowded, and Bailey wondered how much longer is Kim going to last with this crowd?
The crowd chattered and Bailey smiled, and watched Kim smile, as they both heard their friend @Colin McCoire howl for his maybe girlfriend @Clair Fernandez.
Kim’s smile disappeared again, and Bailey looked at her feet.
Her best friend had seemed really sad, or at least more mopy lately.
Its probably just the crowds Bailey thought, trying to comfort herself. Underneath all of the smiles, Bailey was so afraid of loosing her friends, particularly her closest friends Kim and Colin.
what? Bailey thought, startled when she heard Kim speak again. She had been lost in her thoughts, something dangerous with her history of clumsy accidents and a room full of powerful magicals.
Laughing a little, Bailey smiled when Kim said that she should be his princess of sweets. She blushed, before saying “I wouldn’t mind that?”
She smirked at him, and laughed. He loved to tease her, and she loved it.
The conversation turned to food, and after Kim said that he’d have both, Bailey stood up as Kim got sidetracked.
She called over her shoulder, “I’ll get the food for us-!” as she got up and walked off to approach one of the vendors.
Approaching the closest vendor, Bailey got two hamburgers and two hot dogs. Paying, Bailey smiled and thanked the vendor.
Heading back to him, she sat down and handed Kim his food.
“Yum!” Bailey said after biting into her hamburger. She sighed with satisfaction and turned to Kim, to ask how his food was.

Xailah cared not for the display going on at the centermost point of the ballroom. She had seen it too many times before- dueling was hardly anything new. Instead, her glittering, gold hues were affixed to the rows upon rows of observers overseeing the activity. For her, the real show was not below: it was among the spectator bleachers. Yes, she had come to watch the spectators. It was exceedingly rare to see such a vast Chex Mix of people gathered in one area, and for one collective reason- to observe a battle of school hubris. There were others, she was sure, that flocked to the scene for other- perhaps more dubious- reasons. But for the most part, she was certain the majority just wanted to root for their champion of choice.
Dressed to kill (though, perhaps in a much less literal sense than most times) Xailah still somehow stood out vastly among the mishmosh of difference. Adorned in sleek metal accessories and lace, her visage reflected something one might see at a horse race, or perhaps an opera. Poised and quiet, she emitted an eerie sense of serenity, while her sights jumped from one unfamiliar spectating face to the other.
Gentleman-in-waiting, Schrödinger lounged lazily in a seat alongside his lady, effectively taking up more seating room than what was typically acceptable for a cat. Occasionally a lithe, black claw caressed the top of his head in affectionate manner, leaving behind small rows of untouched fur across his crown. He made sure to croon in appreciation.
Though he accompanied his mistress (as he did most days), he did not come along for the same reason as she. Having frequented social events for all seven years of his life, he had come to learn that food was where the people were. With this in mind, his eyes were mostly glued to the floor, rather than the loud bustle around him. What would he find there? A delectable peanut? Or perhaps a tasty kernel of popcorn? Hm. Apparently nothing at the moment. How disappointing.
Arriving. Observing the spectators, petting Schrödinger, but otherwise doing nothing very notable at the moment. Tentatively open for interactions.

@Winnie Harper had this strange relationship with men. She apparently liked making out with them, evidence being obviously Pride and some she could not even remember. Yet they were rarely around and when they were they would prove themselves to be deplorable people. Even if they made her subjectively 'happy' or rather delusional. Would she find the teen there among the spectators at one of the biggest events of the year? Yes, she would but he would not be anywhere near where she was. A tall, thin boy whose ginger locks and pale skin made him a standout among the sullen faces, many of them older with greying hair. They looked 'expensive', yeah that was the best word for it. Charcoal grey suits and heavy jackets folded over the backs of their chairs. They were not cheering the game, they were sitting in a shared 'box', yes this would be box seating, and they were watching the game. There was a pair of women, just two of the dozen and they were wearing brighter suits one in red and the other in pink, hair pinned up on the top of their head and a quill in hand they were writing notes with a fervor that contrasted well with the scene on the other side of the venue.
So Mathias was there, he just was not there with Winnie. No worries, Flash was there to keep Winnie company.
"Excuse me, sorry... I just... I need through." Winnie would announce as she tried to find a space in a venue with standing room only in spite of all of the ancillary seating that the hosue elves had at some point procured for this event. She had sported @George Henry, a familiar face at the very least. That was encouraging and she would make her way over towards him.
There was some yelling (but no post in follow-up) by the shark furry, Vladislav Liam Gunther (@Clark William Baird-Carter's iNPC). "Ow. Loud much? Stop screaming at him, you weirdo. Is your school really so pathetic that you need to order people to cheer for them?" Winnie would rebuke the pre-teen. She would not stay long enough for him to give her a valid or invalid counter (as he never posted).
Winnie's annoyance would continue as her eyes fell on that "stupid handsome jerk", Raul Correa (@Nicholas McCowan's iNPC). Was she truly jealous over a kiss during a spin the bottle game or was she jealous that Raul had kissed Matt instead of her? Well, that was a discussion (argument) for another day. "Y-YOU!" Or-- right now. She pointed at the Brazilian, her cheeks huffing as she scurried past them, hoping to not be seen after she had made the spectacle just then.
While Winnie was doing battle with strangers. An owl was flying about the ballroom seeking a place to land and Alec and George would continue their banter. "Alec, he's not a ten, he is ten. That's gross," George would complain. there was a distinct difference between the two, one that Alec needed to get on board with. George also had to come to terms with the fact that @Howard White was gay for @Thomas LeStrange and his gaydar might be broken. Also, did Alec just lie? Thomas LeStrange sounds nothing like Falentra Black.
"My friend is Alec... were you expecting him? I never saw Gideon, either. He was at the ball, though," he commented. Giddy was just a 'kid' a kid that needed George, his surrogate little brother when @Jake Morris failed at his role. Yes, George needed something small and vulnerable to protect or bully, perhaps manipulate. George was a complicated 'big brother.' He would see the small boy, sitting in a rather dreary looking box with a group of thin tall men that looked more like ghouls than men with their sunken cheeks and their greyed hair. Eyes the color of faded jade, it was questionable if some of them were even alive, just corpses propped up in chairs left to watch the game play out. George would recognize him as Mathias. The two of them were sitting in their seats stone-faced, watching the game play out. There was a pair of attractive (not that they would be in George's opinion likely) ladies with more color in them than the rest of the box combined, they were writing notes vigorously. Then finally there was Giddy, barely visible, he was smaller than the rest and he had his bear propped up on his lap and the bear was being waved back and forth.
Winnie would find 'safety' with George Henry, a face she knew that did not immediately piss her off. here was a shortage of men capable of this as of late. Winnie would sit down next to George with a huff of annoyance. "Hi George, hi Georgie's friend. Mattie isn't HERE." George's friend was Alec Mason, a cursed young man with a slowly spreading, rather noticeable blight that was slowly blooming across his face, starting at his lips that was not unlike the dark curse that had afflicted students for years, poorly quarantined by the Thick Golden Potion. This disease or affliction was different, it was not mediated by the same potion, in fact there was no mediation and thee was no discomfort. The affect appeared to be just cosmetic.
Of course it was not just cosmetic, he had spread this darkness from his lips to others. Like a case of herpes and he was patient 0. The others, those who have met his lips would only be just now starting to notice that their lips were a bit darker, as if they were wearing a dark lipstick. How their bow was not quite so neat, but how a bit of makeup can easily hide this strange dark spread.
This small corner of the ballroom turned stadium would attract others. Namely @Aurelia Notresvace, who would dive bomb Alec's face. Was it purposeful? Allegedly not, the screams of the crowd were disorienting and Alec's face had plenty of action this fall, so what is this in the scope of things.
Auri would find Alec's face a disappointing landing pad. She would quickly transform when she found open enough space back to a girl. The 'stadium' was densely packed so Thomas might have gotten a face full of hair as she turned. Transforming from an owl to a girl was an elementary task. One she has done many times before. Transforming in a stadium with the overstimulation of the electric crowd was something else entirely.
"Hi, Alec. What about Howard's special person? Falentra? Who is Kolya?" Maybe she assaulted his face on purpose to get the gossip. It was Falentra they were talking about, that was her girl.
"Who's your friend here? I'm Aurelia, nice to meet you," Auri continued as she greeted the other person George Henry. He was an obvious student at their school and Hufflepuff, but there was not much more to be known of him yet. Except maybe his "lack of interest" in the Hogwarts game in which his never-paramour was cozying up perhaps a bit too much with that lame dhampir guy who was just a spot captain... he was a spot captain too. All pale, dark and mysterious. He probably had guyliner too! Sure he had champion, but George would have made an excellent champion.
"And you too," Auri acknowledge Winnie Harper. She was done up quite a bit for a sports game and Aurelia recalled that she had attended Winnie's birthday once, unfortunately she failed to recall her name or anything beyond this. The school was rife with gingers.
She never mentioned her problems, ignoring his. "And all the other schools have stupid JERKS in them-- INCLUDING HIM!" Did she know Felix? No, not really, he just had that 'pretty without trying' aesthetic.
"Some of the other school people are nice-"
George was probably going to make out with some of them a some point this year. Perhaps adopt the smaller ones to make Jake jealous.
"Hey, no fair!" George complained. he was probably jealous Winnie had a deeper voice than he had.
"BOO! DURMSTRANG'S QUEEN SUCKS!" Winnie would heckle.
"Durmstrang queen? It better not be Lysander you're booing at, hun." Auri warned fixating her gaze on the matches. There were a lot of students on those three boards and hey were attired as their pieces, it was all quite theatrical really. Lysander was out there, but he was wearing white leather and riding a chariot. Huh, well that was neat.
"BOO!" George joined in the chorus. "Durmstrang's Queen sucks!"
"Okay, now you." George would elbow Alec. Not that Alec would have a chance to answer undisturbed. A teen with a bushy full beard that looked like it was poorly glued on would make his way over to his seating area, donning a Yefim T-shirt. Well, trying. His voluminous Viking beard in his way, that is until the ring was wrested from his finger and flung aside. The boy did not march out to the boards with the Hogwarts Team. He was allegedly @Howard White "special person", "special" in what? Hell if he knew. He was however, the worst possible "special person" as he donned the apparel for Durmstrang, benefitting wizard leukemia or something similar.
"Due excuses," @Thomas LeStrange, newly beardless would announce as he motioned towards the gaudy ring. "Wouldn't mind giving that a kick this way?" He was the sort of guy you meet one time and rarely forget, not because he was witty, kind or even cool but because he was strange as his name would suggest. Some are strange in that they babble nonsense or they choose to dye their hair in response to every emotion. Thomas was something else entirely, a living embodiment of antagonism.
They would know him soon enough. "Five galleons on Durmstrang winning," in a corner with primarily Hogwarts students... right.
"The whole thing, or just this match?"
Flash would reply. He did not seem entirely fussed by the bet against Hogwarts. Either that or he withheld his sentiments well enough that his truth remained hidden.
"Either way, it seems like an awfully toothless bet."
Flash would conclude rather simply. Surely there was something Thomas could offer the boy to entice him to 'make this game a bit more interesting' but Flash had ideas of his own. He harbored grudges indefinitely and one such grudge was against Winnie's boyfriend Mathias Pride. He had claimed that the boys, Flash among them, were drunk in the dungeons when he summoned the head of House to their rescue. It did save lives, but that was not Flash's concern, the life spared was not his own and the boy was not above the pettiness of vengeance.
"Ah, Miss Winnie. I had been meaning to give you something."
Rifling through his bag he would produce a single amber vial. It was something he had brewed specifically for her. "It's Memory Potion. I was thinking of you when I made it." Strange thing to think about, a person when developing a memory potion. Yet one was offered with his thoughts on her.
Mathias has been far from honest with Winnie, since the start of their relationship. he manipulated her into dating him. Not that he had cared for the girl, she was just loud and noticeable and maybe smelled good most of the time. His sentiments, whatever they were, were founded on this lie. This lie he vehemently would claim he did not care about. Perhaps Flash had come to the conclusion that Pride would very much care. That if she remembered the sort of boy Mathias was, well... there would be hell to pay when the shrew was unleashed.

"No, it's not like tha-" @Hugh Lowe would trail off. Brock did not fully believe him but he did not push the point. One would have thought that the older man was a raging alcoholic considering how often he was seen with a flask or a bottle in hand and how often he was seen parking of its contents. But there was a key difference between his and Hugh's drink. Only one of them had fire water, the other just tonic. The thing with booze was, it made people act rashly, unpredictably predictable, in that they were prone to acting on impulse rather than insight. It was easier to glean the intentions of others and most importantly it was easier to mold the perceptions of others when there was a bit of distortion.
"But yes." Hugh agreed. "She'd be one of the people in here that understands." The Hogwarts team was stacked with barely wizard, half-breed students and when compared to the mostly wizard born and pure-blooded opposition from the other five schools, the contrast was obvious. There were members of the audience excited for that the school might offer but for every one that was, there were two that feared the consequences of a victory.
"You should bring her around sometime then," he resolved. She seemed a bit too small and delicate to be of much help in the coming toils. However, she was a Towers and that meant something. She passed as a part goblin, her height really the only thing that gave her away. He wondered the dynamics of that household as a result of her tainted birthright.
The part goblin undertaker was pulled from the stands and (not particularly gently) escorted out. Brock's arm was already in front of Hugh, a twig compared to the still not fully grown teen that stood behind it. He was not a small man by any stretch of the imagination, but it is like comparing a millionaire to Elon Musk . Both rich, but there was a slant between the two that heavily favored the larger youth. "Eh-"
He did not get to say much before Hugh was halfway out of his seat, ready to jump into the fray. "What will they do with him? Should we help him out?"
"No," he replied simply. There was some sort of emotion in there, one that Hugh might find difficulty picking up on - guilt. "He knew what he was doing," he confided. "The house elves will rough him up something awful," who would have thought that house elves would act as tiny thugs. "And we will get blamed as we always do, just this time we hit back." He let out a sigh, there was something to be said about anticipation being more stressful than the event.
"He still has a few minutes to run, a fight would only ensure he gets killed... we need to make a message," he was referring to the fact that if they jumped in and they very much could. They could take on those house elves with ease, but that was time lost and time spent. Time that was rapidly ticking away. "Should sit down and enjoy what's left to the game," he announced somberly and he took back the drink he handed Hugh temporarily to take a hard pull before returning to his unlabeled drink.
"You see those bastards on the other side," he was not talking about the three concurrent games on the floor but rather the stands. There were what one could only describe as "cells" or "sections" of the stands that were not like the others. Older men mostly sitting with sober expressions and a wide breadth between them and the throngs of excited spectators. "There are important people from every Ministry throughout the world here right now. The untouchables even among their brethren."[/b] His finger would sweep across the row. "Émilien and Gaël Rochefort represent the Bureau de la Justice Magique, in their company there is Abbandon Flint, Gideon Bulstrode and Loralei Yaxley. They are bad news..." he did not elaborate for whatever reason. "Over there is the Athanatos family, they represent a large Greek family that claims a link to the genesis of magic, in truth they are a bunch of Seers that are so inbred that their family tree resembles a wreath. There is a large group from MACUSA here also, Thomas Jones, George Reynolds, Laura Petterson, Martin Matthews and Porter Vans. Wizard born, not pureblood, but do not let that fool you, they do a lot of exploitive work with half-breeds, there is a reason we do not see any giants or goblins in the Americas."[/b]
There were others there as well, something that would become immediately apparent to Hugh as his own eyes perhaps scanned the crowd. The Asian continent had their own representatives, as did the Slavic and European nations. This was a veritable who's who of the wizarding world. That was a real bad idea when there are groups of people that want them dead.
"You see that guy over there?" He was pointing out this one blonde fellow sitting in a chair. "That is the present Minister of Magic," yes their minister. He is the barrier that stands between us and equality, but he is untouchable... he was surrounded by suits, some of which being his personal security. "There is no way to get to him... not usually in any case," Brock would take a look to either side of them. They were not surrounded by 'their' people. They were surrounded by those who could not and would not understand. Thankfully the roar of the crowd would drown out the duo's conversation.

@Piérre Marchonné was watching his brother flirt with Valentin and stress out over sport games long passed. Poor Figaro's fur being assaulted by the thoughtless movements of the teen's hands.
He would find a girl had taken interest in him and had insisted on pulling the Gryffindor from his thoughts. "Oh... I... uh..." The Lion flushed a bit in embarrassment as he turned his eyes towards the ground. "Y-yeah..." He responded swiftly. "Yeah! I'm just fine!" His happiness is likely a lie followed by a false smile. "Here to cheer on Durmstrang, I suppose?" His brother in any case as he abandoned his school perhaps in light of his brother's participation. "Cool, cool... must be pretty cold that far up north, colder than here, even..." The chill of winter came somewhat early here and stayed longer than it did in many other parts of the UK, but it was nothing like the permafrost that iced the plains of parts of Russia.
@Simon Kincaid and AngelFyre McCubbin made such a happy, healthy couple (for now). It was likely they would be cheering on Hogwarts but there was a string possibility that they had made other friends that might be playing on this day that they would choose to cheer on like Romeo.
"You lead the way. Your sight is better than mine," Simon would tease, lord get a room you two. there are plenty of dysfunctional relationships to be had here. Hand in hand they would find a seat near Romeo.
"TEAM HOGWARTS, BABY! YOU'VE GOT THIS! COME ON, HOWARD! SHOW THEM HOW IT'S DONE!" Simon yelled out.
Among the growing collective, @Xailah Alptraum would be the last to arrive. She did not have much to say, just a long memory of disaster and seemingly being drawn to it. Schrödinger, the lazy, fat grey feline that had been her steadfast companion through a multitude of disaster would find on this day Romeo cheering for the wrong team. hey had a history that went nowhere. No, not a romantic one. Was she still into Pericles or did pale nerd no longer suit her interests? Schrödinger was all she really needed. No, she knew Piérre for other reasons, beyond a shared house or perhaps a brief shared tenure on a team or activity. They had learned of the duplicity of one of the former school nurses, who was just 'gone' after that incident. Allegedly locked away and then escaped. et Potter was never exonerated for his crimes. What proof was there? everything was behind shuttered doors and two of the three witnesses that testified against Potter were now dead. Some secrets were meant to stay untold.
Was that why they never submitted the wand to the Ministry?

It was an exciting game. Although there was a nauseating aire of... love "Well, maybe you should have a new title then. Instead of Ray of Sunshine, you should be my Princess of Sweets. After all, I'm called the Prince of Sweets and every prince needs a princess, right?" The narrator would barf @Kim Sato's chide to his lovely companion.
“I wouldn’t mind that?” Baily would retort and the old man telling this tale to the survivors of this calamity would wonder why there was such a detailed tangent.
They were just going to have a good time, watch a game and gain 5 pounds in empty calories. "I'll probably have both. Pretty hungry now that I'm here." Apparently it would also help to have something to do with his mouth and hands. Kim glanced over at Bailey. Oh mai/ Yes, this was most certainly a 'date' even if that term had not been used for it just yet.
“I’ll get the food for us-!” She would seek out a vendor and buy a pair of hamburders annd hotdogs. They were both pretty little but they certainly could pack it away. “Yum!”
There were a lot of things that Alec might have expected, perhaps even a few things that would find his face, but they were mostly named things like cheeseburgers and chili dogs. Not girls, well... birds really. Hardly the same thing. He would be knocked backwards by the sheer surprise rather than the velocity of impact, otherwise he might have been knocked off his seat.Auri dive bombs Alec
Attack (Aurelia) 17 + 9 HIT
Evasion (Alec) 6 + 9Evasive Maneuvers (10% auto-dodge) 88
Damage Done: 6 * 20 = 120 damage (has 780 health remaining)
10% chance of being "disoriented" 93

To make an entrance at such a time, and event. There could have been a better place, but right now Falentra wasn't overly bothered about all the stares she would get, all the whispers and gossip that was to travel the crowd. It was going to happen at some point, so why not get it over with already.
The last anyone saw of Falentra was in the Summer just gone. Without a word to anyone, even those closest to her, she had vanished. There had been family troubles which required her to unfortuently tend to but it did mean giving up her position and support in being Howards special person. It sucked, but at the same time, time away from the school seemed needed... oh how she regretted her choices now. If she could have turned down the offer, she'd have done so in a heartbeat. She'd of even got along with Bloom.. apologised to her, hell.. even hugged her if it meant her not going back home to experience what she did.
By this point, there was numerous of large crowds gathered throughout the area. She wasn't sure if there was a particular dress code. Was it fancy? Formal? Show up in certain clothings to show who you was supporting? She didn't know, or really care. Besides, Falentra always dressed smart so what was there to worry about? She wore a slim, tight-fitted black cotton dress that was covered by a long, heavy black coat. Some thin patterned tights and knee-high leather boots added nicely to the final look.
It seemed she hadn't changed from when she was last seen. Her eyes still held that cold, judging stare. Her frame was still fragile looking and her hair still managed to have a few wispy curls that stood stubbornly out of place. However, her demeanour was to be even more intimidating than before. She had no terrible presence, but going off her looks alone, she may as well had. Even towards her friends now, she was going to be closed off, unresponsive. It wasn't to be personal. She was just dealing with a lot right now and if she spent one more night tucked away in hiding, dealing with these damn thoughts, she was going to pull her hair out.
Her dark hues scanned the crowed tiredly. An uncomfortable frown was present on hearing the loud chatter and need to squeeze through the rows of crowds. Thankfully, a familiar face appeared not far from her. Well, a soon to be familiar face. An old, close friend, Aurelia swooped down in style, in her animagus form. A hidden smile behind her scowl would form at such a sight. It seemed she was quick to change to her human form so Falentra thought it was best to make a move now whilst she could.
Her body froze on the spot for a moment. What was she to even say to her. She couldn't hug her like she used to. She couldn't explain her reasonings for leaving. A further minute passed and a few forced steps lead her into the view of the Gryffindor. Falentra's eyes would lock on with the others before they broke a second later. They awkwardly shifted around the crowd and found themselves landing on Flash who was a few rows above. He looked.. as sweet as ever. When didn't he, in her eyes at least. She wondered if he had thought of her in her absence. While the thought crossed her mind, her boney fingers itched against the fabric of her coat. Only when her eyes decided to shift again would they land on Lestrange. That.. was him right? He was talking to Flash from what she could make out. Where a normal wave of protectiveness would follow when it came to Flash, there was now nothing other than a hint of curiosity as to what the pair was doing together.
Falentra would finally draw her attention back to Aurelia. She cautiously made her way to her, Winnie, George and Alec, the two last students she couldn't recall ever meeting before. What was up with Alec's lips too? An extra long stare would hold on him, judging him of course before it redirected itself back to Auri. Still, no words would follow. She had nothing to say at the minute, or more so, how was she to start this conversation off? A simple folding of her arms to add to her intimidating nature and a heavy exhale would be the only thing to come from her. Let's get this over with...
