Named after the Nordic god of destruction, Alduin is asocial, picky, and generally difficult with others, yet displays a remarkable fondness for Daphne and listens only to her. True to his nature, he refuses to stay in one place for long, often preferring the comfort of Daphne's room. However, if boredom strikes or he desires something, Alduin will readily follow her wherever she goes. Hailing from a prestigious lineage of cats, with his parents and grandparents being national cat show winners, Alduin carries an air of feline royalty. Despite his cynical disposition, Daphne adores Alduin wholeheartedly and is currently engaged in the challenging task of training him, further solidifying their unique bond.

xThe origins of the manor can be traced to the mid-18th century, with subsequent alterations, and as a result, this fine property still retains the grandeur of a bygone era, showing casing many character features including a remarkable gothic-style octagon room, now used as a music room. In addition to the main house, there is ancillary accommodation in the form of a studio apartment above the garaging, and discreetly positioned away from the house, there is also a chalet studio.

The house is approached via impressive electric gates, opening onto a long sweeping driveway that culminates in a large lawned turning circle. Upon arrival, a spacious Jacobean-style portico with Tuscan columns and a decorative frieze invite you to enter the house and into a stately reception hall. Many of the reception rooms are arranged around the hall, including the drawing room with its ornate plastered ceiling featuring fruit and flower motifs, the sitting room, and a dining room, both of which boast decorative plastered ceilings. The spacious kitchen/breakfast room, fitted with a comprehensive range of hand-made units, a granite-topped central island, integrated appliances, and an Aga, provides ample space for a breakfast table, around which there is useful built-in seating. A study and a cloakroom are located in the west wing of the house whilst a utility room and a store room can be found in the upper cellar, which may be accessed from within the main house or via a courtyard off the kitchen. The lower cellar features a coal hole as well as a store with a vaulted ceiling, that could be utilized as a wine cellar.

Upstairs, many of the rooms enjoy a pleasing outlook over the gardens and the accommodation includes a principal suite comprising a bedroom and a dressing room, both with double doors opening out to a balcony, and a bathroom. There are two further bedrooms on this level, one en suite, along with a family bathroom, whilst located on a half landing is a guest suite comprising a bedroom, dressing room, and bathroom. The second floor plays host to four further bedrooms, serviced by a shower room.

Amounting to about 5.5 acres, the gardens and grounds include a sunken croquet lawn, a tennis court, a large outdoor swimming pool, a secret garden, a lime avenue, a kitchen garden, terracing, a pond with a waterfall, and a lily pond. There is a fine collection of mature trees and shrubs, including specimen trees such as an Indian Bean tree, and a large magnolia grandiflora. In addition to the garaging, there is ample parking including an area at the front of the main house.

HISTORY

Born to a South Asian father and Japanese mother, Seraphina had a mixed heritage that shaped her worldview. Growing up in a family of six, she often felt overshadowed and yearned to stand out. Her magical abilities manifested during her 8th birthday party, when her temper caused the cake to explode in a burst of magic. Intrigued by her newfound powers, her parents received a letter from Mahoutokoro, introducing them to the wizarding world. Excited to explore her magical potential, Seraphina enrolled in Mahoutokoro day school where she excelled academically. However, it wasn't long before she encountered the dark side of the wizarding community.

Introduced to terms like "mudblood" and witnessing the prejudice some purebloods held against muggleborns, Seraphina saw an opportunity to differentiate herself from her siblings. Embracing pureblood elitism, Seraphina began looking down on muggleborns and adopting their derogatory language. She saw it as a means to establish her identity and assert her superiority. Fuelled by her desire to prove herself, she set ambitious goals to become one of the world's strongest wizards, fueled by her misguided belief in the superiority of pureblood heritage. As she entered her first year at the magical school, Seraphina remained determined to excel. Blinded by her pursuit of greatness, she disregarded the harm her beliefs caused and the impact they had on others.

Growing up, Seraphina was constantly targeted by her siblings' pranks and attempts to scare her. However, she never let their tomfoolery affect her. Anticipating their schemes, she became bored with their constant tricks. Seraphina had no time for frivolous games; even during her time in muggle school, she preferred studying over recess. She yearned to be different from her siblings and craved the recognition of being the best in her parents' eyes. She was determined to stand out.

To face her fears and acquire the necessary skills, Seraphina created a daily list of daring challenges. She ventured through dark alleys, fed stray dogs deemed dangerous by others, and climbed tall trees. These endeavors not only prepared her for the unexpected but also honed her abilities. Seraphina adopted a "do or do not" mentality, where trying was not an option but a must.

When she discovered her wizarding abilities, Seraphina's elation knew no bounds. Her dream of surpassing her siblings had finally come true. However, she faced a new hurdle: being a muggleborn. Once again, she felt inferior, struggling to comprehend the intricacies of the wizarding world. Determined to overcome this perceived disadvantage, Seraphina resolved to become one of the greatest wizards in history.

She immersed herself in books, eager to educate herself about the wizarding world. Observing pure-blood and half-blood students, she learned their customs and behavior. Seraphina grew confident, holding her head high and facing challenges with bravery. Her peers recognized her fearlessness, knowing better than to taunt her with the derogatory term "mudblood." She believed she possessed the heart of a true wizard and convinced herself she was a pureblood. Looking down upon muggleborns, she considered it weak to embrace that status, preferring to distance herself from her origins and "transform" into what she deemed a true wizard.
