Cabin of the Auguery
The Cabin of the Auguery is located closest to the Great Lake out of all the cabins. This means it is also the closest to the washrooms and changerooms, luck you! The cabin itself is much like the rest, a large wooden structure, seemingly rushed and perhaps unsteady. The cabin is mostly rectangular, with one smaller room jutting from the back. From the outside it appears unassuming and bland, a dark, dry brown wood with one dilapidated, hinged door made from the same material as the rest of the structure. On each side of the door, though, there is a long ashy blue banner with black borders the pictures a painting of the grand bird, the Auguery.
Once inside the atmosphere changed abruptly. The same Auguery banner makes an appearance on the inside of the front door. The first floor of the cabin serves as a common area. There are couches and tables as well as some shelves built into the white walls. Here students can sit and chat while waiting for various events or light s out. There are also a few trunks spread out around the room, each containing a myriad of artistic supplies from paint and brushes to pens, pencils, markers.
At the very center back of the cabin there is another small wooden door that leads to the Professors chamber. Inside is a queen sized bed with similar dressings as the student's, a few lights and a couple trunks for the Professor's things. The walls here are a light grey, with an accent wall of ashy blue where the bed resides.
Upstairs are the beds. Here the walls are white as well and nine twin sized beds jutted from the wall, each dressed and made with one white pillow, white sheets, and a thin, grey-blue comforter for those who require extra warmth. At the foot of each bed in a small trunk in which each student may place their belongings for the month. On the right side of each bed is a small lamp built into the wall that is enchanted to light and darken at the appropriate times of day.
In Character Rules- Each bed had its own trunk, stealing from another trunk is strictly prohibited and will result in expulsion from the camp.
- The walls are free to paint and draw on, but respect each other's art and do not paint over, or defile, it.
- Once it's dark - its dangerous. Do not leave the cabin after dark without the Professor. If you need to leave, wake the Professor up to be escorted.
- You are now all officially second years, and with that you gain a bit of freedom after dark. However a strict lights out policy begins at 11pm, and students will be expected to be in bed, sleeping, at this time.
- We are a magical school and we are here to have fun. Therefore no muggle devices such as phones or gaming devices will be allowed.

- After the first mandatory round, all following rounds are optional.
- The second round, and following, do not have a posting order, but do not double post.

Cabin of the Auguery
The start of the Summer Camp excited Adelaide. The Welcoming Fire went off rather well and the Runes Professor was very excited to get to know her six campers during the month of July. Each student of hers was a newly graduated second year, and she was very happy to get to know her future students, even if there was another year before they may even be in her class.
She was also very excited to show the students their cabin. She designed it in such a way that, in addition to the various Summer Camp events that would be happening during the month, the cabins themselves would be an event. She was super proud of the idea she came up with, a childhood dream of many, and hoped her students would grab at the opportunity.
As she led her small gaggle, she grinned and began to tell them about the month to come. "Alrighty. So our cabin is the closest to the Great Lake, which is really lucky for everyone because the bathrooms and changing rooms are all by the Lake! It's no bigger or anything, from the other cabins, but I assure you its way more fun!" She exclaimed, almost bouncing with excitement. But as a Professor, she attempted to keep her cool.
"So our magical creature mascot is the Auguery! Does anyone know what that is?" She asked, however did not wait for a student to answer before she continued, "They are blueish birds that can predict when it will rain! It is the mascot of a Quittich team and our very own Herbology Professor owns one as a pet, you may have seen him before." Adelaide loved the rain and she thought the birds were extraordinarily pretty, hence why she chose them as a mascot.
They quickly reached the cabin, and with a flick of her wand, the door swung open and she walked through without a word. She would enter the little wooden house and straight to the couches where she would plop down and let the students enter and get a look a the place. "The sleeping area is upstairs. Pick whichever bed you want! The door over there is my room. If I am in there, I am available, but please always knock. You can place your things in the trunk a the foot of your bed. And if you'll notice the walls are super white, well..." She trailed off and bent down to pull a little chest out from underneath the table before her. Opening it she began again, "There are a bunch of paint supplied in here! You are totally allowed to draw on the walls! So be creative! The only rule besides place try not to be super messy, is don't draw over someone else's art without permission. Both floors are allowed to be decorated."
With that she leaned back and let the students get a feel for the place.

Eri walks inside and watches the professor explain the rules and why the walls were white. The brunette carried her stuff upstairs and chose the bed in the far corner. She put her stuff in the trunk.
Earlier that day she had gotten a letter saying her aunt approved of letting her stay at Hogwarts summer camp. Which made the young brunette very excited.
Eri walked over to the table with the paint under it and grabbed a sponge brush, a wide brush, a small brush, silver pain, brown, green, and night sky blue paint and headed upstairs to paint. She went to the bed in thw far corner and got on top of her bed to paint the wall behind her bed rest. She began to paint a mural of a big weeping willow with a night sky with silver stars and a silver moon. She walks back downstairs and to the table to grab a light blue the color of a stream and goes back upstairs to her bed and paints it with part of the trees roots going to the river bed and the moon's reflection in the water. Its slow moving. She just has the out lines of everything drawn and then she starts to color it in. This is one of her favorite things to do. She is okay at drawing but amazing at painting, since she paints murals in her room all the time.

Cabin of the Auguery
Jeronimo cleared his throat awkwardly as he entered the tent. Not sure what to do, he took his backpack off and popped it into his trunk. He sat down on his bed and watched one of the girls in the tent painting the wall. Well, the professor said they could.
Jeronimo walked over to where the brushes and paint were. He pulled out a small bottle of black paint and a tiny brush to accompany it. He walked over to his bed and at the wall behind it, he started writing:
Jeronimo Khan was here
After all, he might forget which bed he picked. Jeronimo looked at his message, picking his brain to find something more clever to paint. Stumped, he drew another cabin, with a caricature of himself sitting cross-legged. He had adopted the caricature when he was 9. Without any obvious accessories or things, Jeronimo was hard-pressed to find a distinguishing feature with which to cartoon-ify himself. So he picked what a young Asian boy in London would.
The cartoon of a thin-eyed boy grinned back at him from within the painted cartoon.
It was clear that Jeronimo wasn't meant to be a painter. A sketch artist, maybe. He treated the paintbrush like a pencil or a pen, and the brush was all messed up now. Some lines were considerably thicker than others, as Jeronimo hadn't taken the angle of the brush into account.

Cabin of the Auguery
Amanda stepped into her assigned cabin, holding her duffel bag in her left hand. She grinned as she looked around. Unlike the outside, the inside was bright and cheery. She walked over to the stairs and climbed up to the second floor. Amanda chose a bed and sat down beside the trunk at the end. She popped open the trunk and began putting her belongings inside. Amanda had packed several summery outfits, each good for doing outdoor activities. She had also brought hiking boots, along with tennis shoes and flip flops. She pulled out her swimsuit and towel and put them in the trunk also. Amanda couldn’t wait to go swimming in the lake. She dropped her toiletry bag in the trunk and clasped it shut. She dug out her jacket and put it on. Amanda then shoved her duffel bag under her bed and stood up. There were four other kids in the cabin besides her. Two of her cabin mates were painting on the wall. That looked like fun to Amanda so she grabbed a brush and some blue, grey, and black paints and sat down on her bed. She proceeded to paint her name in a fancy font above her bed, adding some embellishments. When she was finished, Amanda sat back and admired her work. Her name was a glaucous blue, written in cursive, with grey accents on the letters. Around her name were little black birds. Amanda put the paints back and plopped down on one of the couches.
“Oh, I may be on the side of the angels, but don't think for one second that I am one of them.”

Cabin of the Auguery
"Ah yes, I love birds! Not rain, so much, though," Lucy responded as the professor explained their cabin mascot. Her dark blue sweatshirt with a cartoon sun broadcasted her favourite weather. She was walking behind a couple of other first-going-into-second year students, but she hadn't met them before. She eyed the outside of the cabin with a bit of trepidation. The shingles were a bit run down, and it looked rather old. Am I going to be staying in a weird building this whole time? She thought before she could force herself to be positive. No, it'll be fine. No problem.
She entered after Eri, Jeronimo, and Amanda. The door was a tight squeeze, but she managed to navigate her backpack, duffel bag, and pillow throw the narrow frame without too much difficulty. The stairs, however, were another story. She teetered up each step, following the Ravenclaw girl with difficulty. Lucy's bags scraped both sides, and she paused halfway up to catch her breath and rearrange her burden of belongings. The staircase was not long, but Lucy was already exhausted from carrying her bags all throughout the camp. First to the bonfire and now here - it was a lot!
She watched other students choose beds near the edge of the room. She shrugged and went for one in the middle. Might as well be right in the middle of things! She opened up the trunk and unceremoniously dumped her duffel bag and sleeping bag inside. She noted the blanket on the mattress and decided she probably wouldn't use her sleeping bag for the trip. After that, she toured the room, watching other people paint and getting inspiration.

Dorothy walked into the cabin, a trace of a smile on her elegant features. It faded as she entered. She had momentarily forgotten that this camp would be half-blood galore. Not that it mattered to her. She was fine with half-bloods and muggleborns. Her parents? Not so much, which ultimately made her dislike them as well. The platinum blonde gave the room a quick glance. Students were all around, mingling or painting the walls. How improper. She set her thing on a bed near the window (perfect for throwing herself out of if anyone tried to approach her).
Why was she at summer camp? Because she had failed. Her stepmother had sent her a letter telling her to do something simple. She hadn't succeeded. Now, she would have another chance. Sighing, Dorothy began removing articles of clothing from her bag and folding them on the bed. Her eyes studied the room and watched the others. A few of them seemed to be painting entire murals. One girl was painting, a silly smirk on her face as she displayed her 'great' talents. People who enjoyed showing off irked Dorothy in a manner nothing else could.
Still, perhaps there were some purebloods around she could befriend. She glanced up cautiously and examined the room. There weren't any from what she could tell, but maybe they were just not as well-known. She sighed again, and stacked the folded clothes before placing them carefully into the trunk. Now what would she do? Surely not paint the walls. She didn't feel like talking to anyone either. So she opened her bag and retrieved her wand. Now seemed like a decent time to practice charm movements, if only to prevent anyone from speaking to her.

Cabin of the Auguery
Adealiade walked around the upstairs, keeping an eye on the newly entered second years. She was interested to see how they would react to her idea of painting the walls. Some seemed more into it than others, and she was slightly disappointed, see as some didn't even attempt to paint. Well, she thought, they did have an entire month, maybe they would warm up it.
Once most of her students seemed mostly in place for the day, she called everyone downstairs. She wanted to have a small meeting before letting the kids out to go play in the water or wander the campgrounds. Hoping the children would follow her downstairs, she began speaking once she returned to one of the couches in the common area.
"Alright, kiddos. I hope you enjoyed the bonfire we just came from and I hope you have all settled in enough for the night. Although it is too late to go an wander the grounds tonight, there will be plenty of time for that tomorrow and I thought I would give you a bit of a glimpse into what is in store for you." She leaned back, thinking about how to describe the campgrounds and activities. "For tomorrow, there are no specific events held, though there are events you may or may not have heard of yet planned throughout the month. But everyday we have a bunch of things you can go do! We have a playground with a bunch of stuff for you guys, I would definitely check it out, it might be more than you would think. The Lake is also open all day for swimming. The Professors have designated a specific, safe section, for you guys. As always, be careful, of course."
She stopped, knowing that was not all the campgrounds had to offer, but thought it was enough for the night and knowing the children would find everything else out tomorrow when they explored. "For now, I will be taking a trip to the changing rooms and the washrooms. Since it is dark those of you who will need to use those facilities tonight, will have to come with me now as you cannot leave the cabin after dark. Once we return, there will be a bit of time to settle in and chat, before lights out at 11pm."
With that she waited for her group to form so she could escort them. Once they returned she would retreat to her chambers to give the students some space to talk amoungst themselves.

We will not be roleplaying the trip outside, since that is not within the cabin. Instead please RP around it and settle in for the night. After this, the posting in the cabin can be any day and any time during camp, it does not have to remain the first night. Post as you wish, please no double posting, from this point on. Do not wait for me to post again, as, although I will, it will be sparse and random. Enjoy your stay!

After the group came back from the bathroom, Eri decided to go upstairs to finish her painting.
After about ten minutes, she was almost done when she came back, it was complete so the brunette walked down the creaky stairs and put the paints back in their bins and put the brushes back.
Not knowing what to do, the Ravenclaw walked back up the stairs to her bed somewhat in a secluded corner, the best she could do, and she sat down upon her bed.
Eri was wearing her bavy blue drawstring hoodie, white jeans, and white high top sneakers. It was a style she often wore. Maybe a favorite if you asked her. It was just very comfortable.
Laying on her bed she crossed her arms and closed her eyes. She looked asleep to those around her, but in reality she was listening to everyone around her, to learn more and be aware of her surroundings. Plus she was also just trying to have a bit of alone time and what better way to do that than pretending to be asleep? Eri hoped people would think she was asleep and not think she was listening to their conversations and what not.

Let’s pretend this isn’t super late
Vivienne hopped into the Augurey cabin to set up her bed. She looked around and saw lots of possible new friends. She put her sheets and pillow on her bed. They were rainbow with unicorns on them. Since she was allowed to paint/ decorate her bed, she got out her glitter glue. In the middle she wrote “Vivienne Montgomery” in glittery, rainbow letters. Around that, in smaller letters, she wrote various inspirational quotes and drew little pictures of rainbows and flowers and other things.
Vivienne was happy to be at camp with her friends, but she did miss home. She missed her family, her room.... Stop that, she thought. You’re here to have fun and make friends. She thought about all the fun she would have here to keep her mind off her homesickness.
She looked at her bed that she just decorated and smiled. It was so Vivienne and it made her happy. She looked at the possible friends in her cabin. This made her smile too. Her homesickness started to fade away.
Vivienne lay in bed and thought about all the fun she would have and all the friends she would make. She reached into her trunk and grabbed some candy to eat before bed.
Honestly, why do people judge? People need to learn to accept. To look past race, gender, age, sexuality, and appearances. To be open-minded. To give people a chance. To rid their hearts of hate and learn to love others for who they are. That is my wish.
