Colin had watched from the high tower where the nasty witches had imprisoned him and his fellow damsels as Clair made her way through the corn maze below. "CLAIR!!" He shouted through the open window, hoping she could hear him cheer her on. "You've so got this girl! WOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!"

But much as he would have liked to watch his girl trounce her competition, Colin had his own task to attend to! A potion, eh? "Figures like a load of cranky old witches would hide secret potions up here for us to find!" Colin said to his friend Kim. "I saw Bails in the maze a bit --- she looked like she was doing well. But where's Soph? I thought for sure she'd be hanging out with you! I'm worried --- I haven't seen her since the start of term!"

Colin began sniffing around for anything that smelled like a manky and horrid old potion. He did well enough in class, but potions really wasn't Colin's favourite and making the fiddly things was a constant struggle for him between staying still long enough to actually brew the dratted things. But he could smell them well enough! And it wasn't long that he'd found a potion secreted away in a nook behind an orrery.

He saw that Rebecca, too, had found his potion. He popped the cork out of the vial and tipped it towards Loops. "Cheers mate!" he said and drank the stuff down. At first Colin didn't feel anything. But soon he felt a kind of tingling sensation all over his scalp! He looked down and around him and saw that his already long hair was growing at a surprising rate!

"Wicked!!" He looked over at Loops. His hair was now down to his elbows whilst Colin's was already piling up on the floor! He picked up the fascinator that had fallen to the floor as his hair grew out and tucked that into his pocket. Well, this'll be a right mess if I don't sort it quick! Colin thought. "Yeep!" He squeaked, remembering the story of Rapunzel.

"Well, it worked for her," Colin said as he set to braiding his super extra long hair!

Lloyd rummaged around, trying to find the potion. When he found it, he crowed victoriously. “Woohoo!!”
It seemed that several other ‘damsels’ had found it at the same time as he had- @Kim Sato and @Daphne Saphirus. Lloyd smiled at them, always the team player, and congratulated them. Grinning, he said in his French English accent, “Comgratulations! May the best damsel win!”
He drank the postion without a second thought. Downing it, he noticed as his hair began to grow quickly. Looking around, he saw that everyone else who had downed the potion had been effected similarly.
He listened and heard the next hint or the next set of instructions.
The damsel has found a secret potion that makes their hair grow lusciously unto the cobbled floor. And suddenly an idea looms in their minds. It was then when they start to craftily braid their hair to form a lustrous twine.
braid my hair…. I can do that! I know how to braid!!! Hehe most of the other boys- I bet they’ll be lost with this one. Good thing I had sisters who taught me!
Lloyds only competitive streak was coming out- though it only showed in his thoughts.
He only spent half a minute internally debating if what type of braid matters before he started braiding. He just did a traditional and simple French braid, starting at the top of his head, and wrapping around.
wow this is a lot of hair he thought as he braided. The braiding took forever, the hair seemed endless.
wait are we having a repunzle moment and will Eloise have to climb up this? he wondered absentmindedly.

oops- Kim was probably enjoying his silence. He’s always been more on an introvert than I have- at least after he and @Colin McCoire got me out my shell Bailey though when she hugged Kim, and felt him tense. He teased her, saying that she should slow down. Laughing, Bailey leaned back to see him smirking at her. He was holding a tray of snacks and a coffe- a pumpkin flavored one from the smell of it Bailey thought, grinning. Her smile dropped, realizing that Kim felt… off. Sad, or moody. She asked if he was alright. He raised an eyebrow at her, saying that he was fine. He in turn asked if she was ok. “Of course I am! When am I not?” she grinned, grabbing his arm and explaining about the save your date situation that she had signed them up for. Bailey headed into the maze as the bell rung, and she tried not to trip as she tried to figure out which way to go. Bailey exited the maze seconds after fellow Ravenclaws @Edme Achillan and @Samantha Salwis. @Pea Elena Fowl greeted bailey by name as she exited, saying somewhat sarcastically that she was impressed. Bailey, being the kindhearted person who believed the best in people, smiled and said “Awe you’re too nice Pea!” While she did not know second year duelist very well, Bailey wanted to get to know her better. It was nice to have lost of fiends, no matter how sarcastic they talked. Listening to the instruction, Bailey repeated them back to herself in her head. Pile of treasures are in front of us, the rescuers. We have to find the gold key, to rescue the damsels, and don’t call for the witches traps. Ok I can do this!! Bailey began to search along with the other people who had completed the maze. She dug though, absentmindedly wondering what is Kim having to deal with? I hope he’s ok. I’m sure he’s doing amazing!!

Thankfully, nothing came out, aside from other players going through the maze, although it took me a while to get use to this fact since I had on two occasions cast a Flipendo although luckily for the first two players that I did meet, I had realized that they were standing in front of me before I fully cast my spell and managed to point my wand away at the walls of before I had finished casting. And luckily for me, the players understood that I didn’t mean to harm them and went on their merry way through the maze. As I walked through the maze, I would constantly run into dead ends and I would have to trace my way back to where they started, at which point I’d use Diffindo, the Severing Charm to cut the bottom of one or two of the corn plants before placing them down at the edge of the wall where one wouldn’t spot it easily if they were only starring ahead into void of darkness. I would also do this whenever I met a fork in the road at which point I would cut off the corners of the walls from which I came through so that I would know to return there if the paths ahead would prove to be dead ends. This method was slow and resulted in my Lumos extinguishing itself multiple times forcing me to relight my wand, but eventually, I made it out of the exit and into the middle of a clearing where I said “Nox.” before putting my wand into back into my robes as I could see very well now.

I wasn’t the first one there because there was a girl who I recognized as a second year from my classes with her who was already there, and a few moments after I had exited the maze, she told me “Well congrats, you are the first person to solve the maze.” “Really?” I asked looking back as two more people came out. “Well that’s nice.” As we were waiting for the others to come out of the maze, I noticed that there were piles of metal things sitting on the ground, and I wondered what those were for. But then, I also heard a familiar, but faint voice shout “You got this Dave!” I looked up and saw a figure by the window of the owlery, and if it weren’t for her long hair, I would’ve immediately thought that that was Daphne, except Daphne didn’t have long hair like that. Or perhaphs that was her and her hair had been magically altered, but even if it wasn’t, I knew that she was somewhere up there so I shouted “YOU TOO DAPHNE!” at the top of my voice so that the girl would be able hear me all the way up there.

After some time had passed, the second year that had greeted me when I stepped out of the maze seemed to grow tired of waiting for the rest of the rescuers to show up, because she exclaimed “What is taking them so long!?” before beginning to explain to us, the players that were already there, what had happened in the game and what we had to do. “Pile of golden treasures has appeared in front of the mighty rescuers. But are they going to find the key to save their princesses, or are they going to fall for the riches that the witches have offered?” ‘Was one of those witches Daphne?’ I thought to myself as I thanked her for telling me what to do and going up to one of the vacant piles of gold to begin looking for the key. ‘I mean, she is a witch, even though she’s just a princess in this game.’ I chuckled a bit at the thoughts as I took off my gloves and putting them into my robes before beginning to open each trinket and looking for a key inside of it. ‘Well this is gonna be fun.’ I thought.

Irina entered the maze, wand in hand prepared for what might happen, not that she could do a lot of spells as a first year, however at least she could call for help if needed right?

It was dark, even if the moon was almost at its full shape, it wasn't enough to see clearly through all the corn maze's walls. After walk for a while, she decided to stop for a little, to catch up on her senses. There were several footsteps she could hear and the rustle of leaves when someone walked past her, some behind her, some right on her side and others seemed to come from in front of her...she focused her attention on the last ones. They seemed to walk with uncertainty, perhaps like her having struggles with the darkness, perhaps apprehensive of finding something hidden among the corn leaves. She couldn't blame them, truth be told, at least one monster was walking their way...even if it was just an eleven years old girl with a not so dangerous "sparkling" wand!

Suddenly the steps at her left side started to walk at a faster rhythm, with more intensity and strength, Had someone found their way out of this? She thought, frowning in concentration towards the sound and starting to walk in that direction. Sadly she found a wall blocking her way...What should I do now? She could risk contour the wall and lost her track or pass through the corn leafs and risk getting lost in the middle of it...Oh Loops, I hope you're doing a good job in that tower! she thought it like a pray for hope and good luck and entered the corn wall.

More footsteps were getting louder and louder...then she heard a voice coming from afar at her right, “Well congrats, you are the first person to solve the maze.”, she immediately turned her gaze towards that direction, like a predator chasing its prey she took off running, not really caring if the leaves kept running across her face or if she might have found something less pleasant in the midst of it. When she finally got out of that corn field of hell she found out that some others had arrived first to the bottom of the Owlery Tower, Oh well...at least I'm not the last one and didn't got lost, she thought while was trying to catch her breath.

She had just recovered and got rid of all the leafs and dirt that got stuck to her hair, when another masked figure started talking about their next "mission",

We have to do what? Irina muttered in surprise as she stared wide-eyed at the large pile of gold in front of her, Find a key in the middle of all of that? How big is that key exactly? She thought exasperated. Oh well...staring at it wouldn't make it come to her hand faster right? So she started to search in her pile of riches for the object that would lead her to her fair damsel trapped in the tower, Second thought we will need to have a talk after this Loops!

Clair was happy that she had gotten through the maze, sure she had enjoyed getting through it, but she was here to win, after all that was the point of the game. So she wanted to get to the end of the maze faster than anyone else, sadly she was not the first one out, but thatonly meant she had to be even faster!

She thought she could hear Colin, so she looked up and waved, who knew if he could see her or if he was even looking down? Hopefully he was busy doing whatever he needed to do, if he had to do anything.

The Ravenclaw gladly set out on the next task, finding that key!
She was glad to have the role of rescuing, if she had been stuck up in that tower it would have driven her crazy! She let out a little giggle as she wondered if there was owl poop all over the floor, or if they had cleaned it all up, maybe if she failed to save Colin his owl would make him stink, as payback for not leaving him alone! She tried to stop giggling and focus on finding the little key.

The maze was beginning to hurt their head with all the twists and turns. Pax was relatively confident that, at least at one point, they had been pretty severely lost. However, thankfully, they had managed to catch a snippet of conversation from others somewhere not too far, and they decided to follow the voices. It wasn't cheating.... it was being resourceful.

They knew from that sign alone that they weren't the first to escape the maze, to which they grabbed some of the growing plants forming the maze irritated and pulled it from the ground.

"God dammit. Stupid maze, stupid corn."

As they fumbled their way to the exit, trying to ignore the fact that there were about half the contestants there before them, the first and most noticeable thing was the pile of glittering golden shiny things.

"Find the key?" they muttered under their breath incredulously. "Find the bloody key, they said."

Carefully, they crouched down and began to rummage through the golden metal, throwing pieces into another pile to their side as they kept their eyes scouring for any signs of something that resembled a key.

"Chikao better be doing good right now... this is a team effort after all," they huffed.

"Aha!" Chiaki clutched the potion in her hand triumphantly, choosing to ignore that there were some who had found it faster. It would only unleash her angrier side, and that was not a side she was eager to show in a foreign school in front of a bunch of foreign students she didn't know.

She only took a second to observe the contents of the potion before her competitiveness overtook her and she uncorked the cap, downing it in one go. It went down surprisingly smooth, but a distinct tingle was felt on their scalp. Chikai tried to resist the urge to itch before she realised what was happening-her hair was growing!

"Yes! Long hair, finally!" She cheered, a grin quickly emerging on her face as her dark hair continued to grow. She'd always wanted long hair, but it just wasn't convenient, especially for broom racing, and she was always worried if it would look good. Now at least she could give it a try. She wished River was here to see- her date already had quite long hair and Chiaki trusted that River would be able to help her determine if it suited her.

However, it was growing so rapidly that it had begun to be almost unmanageable. A fairy tale crossed their mind, a princess that Chiaki remembered loving when she was younger.

"Well, I suppose it's time to braid."
