Sitting quietly Finished

For once in Josh's life, he took the words of a Gryffindor and gave it some thought. She does have a point that Muggles don't really know about us, but the fact that my family ruined the experience of Muggles for me... Well at least she isn't a complete Blood Traitor like my family. Josh wasn't stupid either. He saw Jennifer reach for her wand. He knew that she hated him and for good reason too. However, he already had his share of fighting so he let it go. Josh grabbed his wand and placed it in front of him on the table to show his unwillingness to fight.

"You do have a point there, but all the same," Josh started. "Why not curse those witches and wizards who think it was perfectly fine to interbreed with those animals? After all, if it weren't for those fools, there would be no such things as Half-Blood, Muggle-Borns, or even Squibs! Normally I wouldn't be this reasonable, but after all the fights I've been since I came here, I don't have much of a choice. If you're foolish enough to attack me like your friend is about to do, I will personally make both of you regret ever crossing me like that! We all have our opinions, the only reason why I am the way I am is because of my family. They took it to the extreme! So, unless you're part of the wrong sort, let's just agree to disagree and leave it at that."

I can't believe I said all that! This is ridiculous, but it was definitely necessary. After all, it's all their fault for turning me into all of this! Josh resigned to the fact that he will always be misunderstood. It's sad to see that most witches and wizards believe that those in Slytherin would be complete blood purity supremacists who think they're better than everyone else just because they're Pure-Blood. Perhaps if Josh had lived under different circumstances, he might have been a whole different person. As positive as that may sound, unfortunately, the fact that his family scarred him turned him into a monster that many people will hate.

Agreeing to disagree was definitely not in Bella's nature. And neither was just standing by and accepting a threat. She didn't want to argue with him and she still thinks that despite his obvious lack of basic human compassion, that the two could be friends. She just needs to show him the guidelines. It's rather like with dogs, she supposed, when they start to become disobedient you have to remind them who's in charge.

Still standing with a slight lean over Josh, Bella spoke again, this time in a lowered volume, sounding rather like a growl.
"I don't know what people you have fought with so far but let me tell you something; I am not scared of you. I may look like an 'innocent little Gryffindor' but I know how to stand up for myself and I am not afraid to either. I'm not going to attack you. I don't need to," Bella flicked some stray strands of her back over her shoulder and was about to speak again when Ozzy came over. He had been watching from the Slytherin table, knowing that Bella could handle these things for herself, but wanted to be sure that this boy wasn't going to do anything stupid.

He crouched over and spoke so that only Josh could hear him.
"I'm going to give you some advice; keep you pathetic threats to a minimum. You might think you're a tough little Slytherin but you're a first year. Try anything and believe me it will be you that regrets crossing the Chastain family. Because we're everywhere and we know what true family means." Ozzy gave a glance around the hall at the ever expanding crowd of onlookers and gave a pointed glance to a girl and a boy sitting at the over end of the Gryffindor table. They were 2 more of Bella's siblings, Luna and Orion.

Bella had sat while Ozzy was talking and smirked a little, knowing what he would be saying. She then turned to the crowd
"Show's over," She spoke loudly and the crowd dispersed, the twins giving her a wink as they began eating.

"Try anything and believe me it will be you that regrets crossing the Chastain family. Because we're everywhere and we know what true family means." The older boy said. At that very moment, a bomb was let off inside of him. Despite having countless fights with other people including a Mudblood from his own house, none of them had been physical. However, that empty threat from that guy was the last straw! Josh will no longer be put down like that.

Josh quickly flashed up from his seat and threw a lightning-fast punch to that guy's pretty nose. The force of the punch came so sudden that nobody really saw it coming. As a result, the guy flung back and crashed into the other table. His nose oozed out some blood as he stood there a little dazed.

Everyone around them were in a huge shock. There were a lot of gasping. Luckily, there were no professors around so Josh wasn't able to receive immediate punishment. However, anything could happen at this point. The fact that he was threatened while trying to make some friends was reason enough to start and end a fight.

Like I said, nobody crosses me and get's away with it! Josh sneered. "Perhaps this will prove that I'm not this weak idiot throwing a tantrum. Josh immediately retrieved his wand and placed it back in his robe pocket. He knew this wouldn't be over, but at least he was satisfied with that punch.

"I thought I would be able to make some friends here, but obviously someone doesn't like that!" Josh roared. I'm outta here! See ya never losers!

Josh then walked off out the Great Hall while everyone watched with stunned expressions.

The punch was unexpected, anybody who knew Ozzy wouldn't dare, but it dazed him enough to give Josh a chance to walk away. By the time Ozzy had caught up with what had happened Josh was already leaving the hall. Everybody around knew what was going to happen next as Ozzy had reached for his wand. He was going to freeze the boy and give himself time to catch up and then teach him a thing or two about respecting his elders.

Before he could pull his wand all of the way out, Bella grabbed it out of his hand. "No There's no point just leave him," Bella was angry. She had thought that being at Hogwarts would be the perfect place to avoid people like her parents. She was more than angry but in that moment she knew that Ozzy reacting was only going to get him in trouble as well.

Ozzy glared at Bella for a moment but eventually realised she was right, she normally was. "Fine. Gimme my wand back," She handed it back to him reluctantly. A shout from another Slytherin boy, a sixth year calling out Ozzy for not reacting was met with Ozzy grabbing the boy by the collar of his robe and pushing him backwards out of his way as he stormed off towards the owlery, to write a letter to their siblings no doubt.

After the crowd had all gone off in different directions and after a reassuring hug from Luna, Bella picked up her bag from under the table and slumped off towards the grounds with tears in her eyes.

Jennifer's eyes widened when Josh punched Bella's brother. It looked as if it was going in slow-motion. That punch was really unexpected, not fair at all. Jennifer watched the action around her, Bella and her brother trying to decide either to attack Josh or not. Jennifer wanted to pull her wand out and try out a spell she had recently learned from her mother's old book that she had recently had in possession, but she knew that Bella wouldn't approve of that. She tried to calm herself down, and felt tears flow into her eyes. Jennifer bit her lip, knowing that she wasn't the one to cry. She saw Bella grab her bags and run off to the grounds, obviously not feeling very great.

Jennifer grabbed her own bags and jogged to catch up to her friend. She tried to reassure Bella, and put her hand on Bella's shoulder. "It'll be alright. One thing I know for sure, Josh is going to pay for this, something horrible is going to happen, when he least expects it." Jennifer smiled softly gave Bella a warm hug. Bella didn't deserve to feel this way. But one thing was for sure. Josh was going to regret his actions. Jennifer was very determined, and promised herself that she was going to make him pay.
