I am nearly done reading The School for Good and Evil book 1 and it's so good! I found out about it through the Bookworms Club (I think that's what it's called?) here on HiO. I also saw there was a movie made based off the book on Netflix but I haven't seen it yet because I want to finish the book first and see how they made the movie. It probably won't be anywhere near as good as the book (because movies based off books are usually way worse than the books generally, although there have been some exceptions of course) but I love how the book is! I did see they changed a few things in the movie though (from the trailer I saw) which is kind of odd but might be fun to see how different it will be! The main two characters in the book are both white, one with dark hair and one with blond hair.
But the movie made the one with black hair be black and the one with blond hair be white. Maybe to contrast the characters further I guess? I must say though the black actor looks soooo good, I love the way she looks! She's so pretty! Although at the same time I'm wondering why they made her so pretty to begin with, as the book's character is supposed to start off ugly and turn pretty afterward. But damn, she looks so nice from the very start!! Imo she's like a model! Has anyone seen the movie yet? And have any of you read the book? If you've seen the movie and read the book, what did you guys think of the movie vs the book? Did it do the book justice or was it really really different from the book?
