Quill Pals: Mia and Karrie pv Karrie Myers

Dear Karrie,

This is my first time writing a letter by hand, sorry if it's sloppy.
Seeing as we are Quill Pals, I do hope you don't find me boring or too smart. My name is Mia Turner, but of course, you can call me Mia. I'm a first-year Ravenclaw. I'm new to the whole wizard magic stuff. I didn't know magic was real until recently! Did you grow up surrounded by magic? I heard some kids get to live like that. I wonder what it's like.

From,
M. Turner

Dear Mia,
I am glad to finally recieve a letter from my Quill Pal. I really love your handwriting, by any chance, can you teach me how to write it?
Whether you are too smart or too boring, I will gladly accept you as my friend because till now, you really have a positive attitude. Nice to know that you belong from the Turner family. They are considered as one of the most reputed family in the Muggle World. So, happy to see that I am interacting with a Ravenclaw, heard that they are really the wise ones. I am Karrie Myers (you can call me Cass or Cam, whatever you like), sorry for the late intro. I am also a first year like you but from Gryffindor. I am also quite new to the magic stuff but the only difference is that my elder brother is a wizard and he used to tell me in letters about the lessons of magic but it's still a wholesome experience for me to learn about magic. I am a Muggle-born, and guessing from that you are also one, right? I didn't really grew up surrounded by magic, unlike my brother. Well, I was a very simple Muggle, living peacefully under the shed of Myers family until I received the letter from Hogwarts and realised that my brother was truly a wizard and magic is real and the accidental instances of magic which took place, all became reality.
By the way, what's your most favourite subject in Hogwarts? And what all do you like to do the most?
Yours respectfully Quill Pal,
Karrie Myers

Karrie,

Could I teach you to write? I believe I could, if you genuinely mean that. Thank you for the compliment. I'm surprised to know you've heard of my family. I was kind of hoping no one would here, but I suppose that's unavoidable. I wish I could say the same for the Myers family, but I'm not quite attentive to the things around me or in the news. I do hope I can live up to the Ravenclaw reputation. I hear Gryffindors are brave, and some even say that Gryffindors are on the reckless side. Would you believe that's accurate to you? So, if I'm understanding correctly, you're a Muggle-born but luckily your older brother is also a wizard? That sounds really cool! I've heard that for some people, their first instance of accidental magic includes something exploding or disappearing. Is that really true? I don't want to fall for lies, but I don't know if that's normal for wizards or not. For my favorite Hogwarts subject, I'd have to say it's Astronomy. I don't really like getting up at midnight and walking up the huge tower, but I do enjoy looking up at the stars. I also really like the food here. I'm glad there isn't a restricted limit on how much food we can eat. Also that there is not limit to how little we can eat. It probably seems like something small and meaningless, but it is something that I like. What about you? What things to do you like here at Hogwarts? Specific subjects or places?

Yours truly,
Mia Turner

Dear Mia,
It's great to know that you are ready to teach me how to write beautifully. And it's totally out of my curiosity, maybe you can teach it to me when we meet each other? We can plan it out if you want or possibly have some spare time.
Myers family is not that popular among the muggles so it's reasonable if you don't know about us. My neighbours and friends are often the gossip parties and I have heard once or twice about the Turner's family. Though, I have got to know a very few about them, not that I am not curious, but who would know that my Quill Pal was from the Turner's.
I think it's really nice to be a Ravenclaw. I always wished to become one. But surprisingly the Sorting hat told me that I am better with Gryffindor. I must not say that each and every traits of Gryffindor is within me. But yes, I am quite reckless but at times I often become a coward and can't get a grip on myself.
Though my brother is a wizard, I only got to know from him about the subjects taught here. And yes, I too agree that Astronomy is the most exciting subject. Watching the shooting stars is what I like the most in Astronomy. Ah- and also the celestial bodies.
Talking about food, it's the most desirable thing I ever want. Growing in my own bubble, I was only able to eat specific kinds of food with no varities. But coming to Hogwarts, I am delighted to eat each and every food given. Not only they are in varieties but also tasty!
My favourite subject here is Defense against the Dark Arts. It's the most thrilling subject in my opinion. The practicals are even more exciting. I like the Great Lake the most. The environment is always beautiful and soothing there. But talking about chaotic places, I like the Great Hall more!
It was really great talking to you. By any chance, do you like DADA practicals or getting good grades in Astronomy?
Your respectfully Quill Pal,
Karrie Myers

P.S- About the magic instances, I have encountered many ones but not the explosion ones. It probably happened only one time, that was actually my first instance of magic. I am quite swift and usually don't allow myself to get indulged in all the odd thoughts but after my first instance of magic took place, it was really a surprising one, but I as usual preferred that others don't know about it and I too don't get too much affected with it. It was only until I recieved the letter from Hogwarts, as said earlier.
