'Tis the season for fight
"Come on, Bubs. We're going for a walk!" Squeaky, Kaylas ferret, seemed to understand perfectly what Kayla meant; she stood up from her spot on the couch of the common room and jumped up, and went inside Kayla's bag. Kayla scooped up the bag, put on shoes and a jacket, and ventured outside.
Kayla decided to let Squeaky down, as it was nice and sunny, and the ferret seemed curious to go out too. As soon as Squeaky touched the ground, however, she immedietly started walking around like crazy and she seemed to be eyeing something Kayla couldn't see.
"What do you see, Bubs?" Kayla asked her ferret quietly, putting her hands in her pocket as she walked a bit faster, trying to keep up with her girl, who was acting a little more active than usual. As Squeaky liked to be active during the evening hours, and her onky reason to be active outside was maybe to hunt a mouse or bird-
Ah. That's what it was.
In a distance, Kayla could see a girl with black hair and an owl on her arm. Kayla was about to bend down quickly to pick Squeaky up before the ferret got any ideas.
But apparently the ferret was faster.
As soon as Kayla bent down, Squeaky ran like lightning across the grassy field towards the girl and her owl.
"Squeaky, NO!" Kayla shouted and ran after the animal, but Squeaky wasn't listening. stubborn like her mamaThe girl with the owl seemed unaware that the ferret was skimming through thr grass, and before Kayla could warn the girl, Squeaky jumped. And the owl went crazy. The owl screeched and started flapping its wings in dismay, but Squeaky was oblivious to the fact that those talons could get hurt.

'Tis the season for fight
Dove had been relaxing in her dorm, Maple relaxing next to her. Maple had been more calm recently, or at least had tried to for Dove's sake, and it was sweet! But today the large owl was all fidgety and crazy, even though she was trying to calm down. So Dove thought it was time to do something nice for her!@Kayla Realma
"Alright, let me get a sweater on and we'll go outside." She smiled, scratching her owl's head before slipping back into her dorm room and picking out a striped sweater and periwinkle skirt. She slipped a checkered headband onto her head and adjusted her gold-framed glasses on her nose, then reached out her arm for her owl to use as a perch. She grabbed a thick book and dropped it in her bag, starting the long trek down from the HufflePuff dorms to the Grounds.
Dove was tired, but Maple deserved a little treat. She read on a bench close to the school while Maple flew around and played energetically. "Hey, girl, I'm gonna close my eyes for a minute. Don't go too far, okay?" Dove giggled and scratched her girl's head before removing her glasses, setting them next to her on the bench, leaning back, and starting to peacefully drift off.
She shot up with a jolt at the sound of Maple screeching, and fur scratching against feathers. Dove adjusted her glasses back onto her face and looked over, gasping in surprise when she saw her sweet girl in the midst of combat with a rabid-looking ferret! She wasted no time before picking up the book she had been reading, the cute little dessert-themed bookmark sticking out of it around the end, motioning for her owl to hide behind her, and raising the book above her head.
"Don't touch her!" She yelled at this little brat who dared to touch her baby!
How dare it!

'Tis the season for fight
"Hey, calm down- don't hurt her- it's instinct-" Kayla hurried to the scene where the girl now was wearing glasses, a certain detail Kayla hadn't noticed before. Kayla scooped up her ferret, and kept hold of her tight, as she was making moves to go after the owl again; Kayla made a mental note to give her ferret a lecture on chasing birds.
"I'm so sorry about her- she has a thing for birds. Please dont hurt her- I'm really sorry about your owl, but don't you think that would be a bit much?" Kayla said evenly, stroking Squeaky's fluffy head, trying to minimilise the amount of hissing escaping from the ferrets mouth, as she was still struggling and attempting to free herself from Kaylas grip.
"C-can you put the book down?" Kayla asked nervously, "Its kinda intimidating and I think it's provoking her."
Kayla knew her ferret was a calm ferret and that she was probably to small to do any harm to the owl, but Kayla also understood the concern. But with all these thoughts running around her mind, she loosened the grip on the ferret, and she went flying like a wet soap bar.
"Squeaky!" Kayla groaned, moving quickly enough to take hold of the ferret.
"Dont bite me, you started it," Kayla muttered to Squeaky, who had started to scratch Kaylas arm.@Dove Peregrine
