Full Moon
This is the game werewolf. Interested students have been separated into a total of three teams. This thread represents one such team.
Game 1: [Full Moon]
1.) Eris Fawley
2.) Angela Silverberry
3.) Dorothy Do
4.) Lilith Westlocke
5.) Amanda Sparrow
6.) Dinah Dragensail
7.) Rosie Parker
8.) Howard White
9.) Serena Towers
10.) Delilah Stewart
11.) Alexander Varellion
12.) Lucy O'Sullivan
This is a game of manipulation, psychology and luck. In this game there are several roles that can be played: the Werewolf, the Minion, the Potion-master, the Seer and the Villagers. Each role comes with special responsibilities and potential win scenarios.
The Werewolf: The werewolf will appear to be a regular villager by day, but once night falls they become a ravenous beast that will devour or turn a villager each night. Werewolves have three options that they can perform on the NIGHT TURN, those being KILL, TURN and SPARE. The werewolves (if there is more than one) must agree on what they will do, otherwise the moderator in all of his cruelty will make the choice for you.
The Minion: The minion is human, so would be viewed as a human by a Seer but be a part of the werewolf team. The minion's job is to try to keep their master alive. A Seer would not be able to know where the Minion's allegiance lies. The minion does not get an extra action but they do get a vote and interact with the other villagers. Their victory condition is having the werewolves win, so they will be actively trying to divert votes to innocent villagers. During the DAY ROUND they get to vote with the rest of the villagers and send a potential were to the gallows.
The Potions Master: This role is a wizarding role in a town full of muggles. Able to either save the life of a dying person or prevent lycanthropy from setting in. Once the curse has taken hold, as we well know there is no stopping it but if the Potions Master gets to the right person in time, they will be able to either save their life with a restorative elixir or by filling their wound with liquid silver. This choice takes a lot of luck and a keen perception to determine who the next target might be. They can only "save" one person and must declare this during the NIGHT ROUND before the victim is announced. Pick carefully between elixir and liquid silver. You have no way of knowing if your target was saved by your efforts or not. During the DAY ROUND they get to vote with the rest of the villagers and send a potential were to the gallows.
Seer: Gifted with the power of future sight, a Seer can concentrate on a single villager and find out if they are human or were. They will know nothing else. Such visions come to them in dreams, so they learn this during the NIGHT ROUND. During the DAY ROUND they get to vote with the rest of the villagers and send a potential were to the gallows.
Villagers: Muggles. The most unfortunate member of this setting. Your job is to flush out the werewolf. Unfortunately you will probably not know who is gifted with future-sight (Seer) or who might be a wizard (potions master) because that would make them a target for the werewolves but some might share. Take care, they might be lying. During the DAY ROUND they get to vote with the rest of the villagers and send a potential were to the gallows.
The win condition is as follows:
- Destroy all the werewolves and the villager team wins.
- Destroy enough villagers that there is an even number of villagers and werewolves (or members on the werewolf team) and the werewolf team wins.
Seers, Villagers and Potions Masters are on the Villager Team.
Werewolves and Minions are on the Werewolf Team.

- KILL: Does just that, kills a villager unless the potions-master gives the same player a restorative elixer.
- TURN: This turns a villager into a werewolf starting the next night. This new werewolf is now a part of the werewolf team and would be aware of who the werewolves are. The werewolves can only successfully turn ONE villager throughout the course of the game, so be shrewd with your decision.
- SPARE: You decide to take no lives this round. Perhaps you are trying to confuse your opponents. Make the doctor feel somewhat effective.
The Minion: The minion is human, so would be viewed as a human by a Seer but be a part of the werewolf team. The minion's job is to try to keep their master alive. The Basic Rules:
- You will be notified via owl of your role (Were, Seer, Potions Master, Minion, Villager).
- You are not to reveal OC what your actual role is by showing the communication I have sent you. You can lie, but you cannot show demonstrable proof (that's cheating).
- You are not allowed to reveal your role (Were, Seer, Potions Master, Minion, Villager) if you have been KILLED until the game is over. Let everyone enjoy the game.
- This is considered to be a flood topic, meaning you do not have to post a full 200 words in your post. Your post will be considered in character, so please consider this fact when you interact in this thread.
- You can use a variety of means to coerce, trick, etc. each other. You just cannot provide OC proof of your role.
- Villagers post their vote for who to die in this thread. The were(s) will DM or owl me with their victims. The Seer will owl or DM me their desired target. The potions master will owl or DM me their desired target.
- Those with specialty roles can only do one action per night.

It starts... an adventure. Well, maybe not an adventure in the conventional sense. The children were fragile and destructive, doing more damage to each other than Solomon could possibly predict. He would have to modify his teaching methods to make sure that they did not kill each other.
That was where this game came from: WEREWOLF. A children's game. A safe game, probably. There was really no knowing with these kids. It was likely someone would still end up with an eye patch or a peg leg and somehow it would be associated with him. Poor Solomon.
The children would gather, split into three teams. He wanted to make sure it was fair, so there was a pattern to his assignment. The first student to arrive was sent to TEAM 1, the second to TEAM 2 and so on, rotating through the trio of teams until there was no more. The prompt, the energetic, the lax and the last moment arrivals all evenly mixed or so he hoped. He did not want to be accused of bias in the matter.
He knew off the bat who was going to get each roll, it was destiny. He would whisper into each student's ear their role. There was no legible proof, only a whispered word and an old man's memory to chronicle what he said.
Villager...
Seer...
Were...
Potions Master...
Even a real potions master had arrived to play. It would be ironic if he was indeed the Potions Master. Same with a student with the surname Wolfe. Would Solomon be so obvious in his choices -- no. But maybe... No. But-- Still No.
Solomon would then reiterate the game. This was a game of discussion, manipulation, courage and persuasion. Something a Slytherin should excel at, but there was no reason that the others could not find a level of proficiency as well.
"We start at daybreak in the small town of Hogwarts. The village was small, full of mostly Muggles, less a few hidden wizard talents. Set in a shady valley near an inland sea, this once peaceful village has been plagued by rumors of werewolves."
Solomon gave the students a sly grin. This was a LARP (live-action roleplay). "What roles do you have in this fine village?" Solomon would ask, gesturing towards a random student to get them started. A baker, a teacher, a plumber, likely something mundane but children had active imaginations so there were likely going to be a few bizarre ones as well.
"Oh my--" Solomon's voice trailed off as some were more detailed than others in their account. Some more common than others. Perhaps even a weird one here and there. With a slight laugh he would continue, for most this was likely their first LARP experience. "Sadly the village as of late has become plagued with rumors and disappearances. Animal attacks some say... but the villagers here know better, it seems to only happen on the full-moon. We have a were in our midst. The full moon will rise tonight, quickly everyone... think about who it might be!"
This is an introduction post as well as a vote post. Everyone is free to vote, even the weres. If there is more than one were in your group, you will know their identity because it has been shared in your owl. For any minions that may or may not exist, you will receive (as I forgot to send it) information regarding who the were is that you assist.
Yes, that means that SOMEONE is not going to last for very long. No worries, play dead in the grass and haunt them through the session (I will keep you entertained I assure you).

Angela knew the rules. She has played this game before during one vacation camp where they spent two weeks by the lake with some other wizard families. It was always so exciting. But this will be the first time playing this at Hogwarts. She looked around - there were some familiar faces, and some people she didn't know.
She was determined to win and show off her skills. Professor Lear whispered the role into her ear - ah, she'd prefer a different one, but this will do too. Let's do this!
I am a... um... fisher? I fish for fish. For a living. Yup. That's what I do in this village. I'm your friendly fisher lady, she announced when the professor asked for their roles. This part was always a bit awkward. And is it "fisher", "fisherman" or "fisherwoman"?... She had no idea. It'll be better to drop this fishing topic entirely. Look, we should deal with this werewolf problem as fast as possible, guys. I'm worried about... uh... my children!

Summer was always the best. Time for fun games, random ideas, and mostly for running around in the sun. Summer camp was a new idea for Eris, but so far, she was enjoying it. Her cabin was amazing, filled with some of the best people in Hogwarts, including her best friend Adam, Max Avery, Phaedra, Katya, and some strange Slytherin boy.
The activities of the camp had been dull so far, but even from doing next to nothing all day, a suburn still tinted Eris's cheeks more pink than usual. The new second year made her way down to the spot for werewolf with Professor Lear, small sense of worry lingering under her skin. Everything that Lear did often went bad, and the man had a wicked sense of humor. He was like a child, but a child with a very bad sense of humor, and a wicked streak. Eris was not going to forgive him anytime soon for the drawn on mustache on her face, nor for the disaster of a Lock-in. Either, way, personal feelings aside, she wasn't going to turn up a chance to engage in a fun summer activity.
What was werewolf, exactly? She didn't really know, but hey, the game sounded fun! The memory of the one Eris was grateful for, a whispered role that she would need, considering how little she knew of the game, a fact she had made clear in her loud voice as she followed after the group, sitting down on the ground of the campgrounds with a huff, eyes glazed over as she listened to Lear speak. The more he talked, the more her fingers iched to do something.
Finally, she ended up playing with strands of grass, until it was time for the children to go around in a circle and state their "name and occupations." A blonde haired girl went first, and than Eris decided it was her turn.
This would be fun! All she had to do was win, with the rest of the group. It felt a little strange to make up an occupation, but oh well! Who was Eris to complain? This was going to be a fun way to relax, and even though she didn't trust Lear, and the way that all his events went wrong, there was no way that a simple game could go wrong.
Standing up again, Eris leapt to her feet and grinned. "I'm the warrior of the village, and I'll protect everyone from the werewolves!" Making fists with her hands, Eris sat back down, grin still on her face.

Amanda loved this game. Back home, they called it Mafia. She and her siblings and cousins would play it all the time at family gatherings. She was interested to see how this wizarding version worked out. Werewolves are definitely more interesting than mafia, Amanda mused. This was probably her favorite game, so getting to play it at this amazing camp was the best thing ever for her. She especially enjoyed the suspense of the game and trying to deceive others, if you were the werewolf, that is.
Amanda looked around at the group of campers. None of her friends were there, but she recognized a few people from some of her classes. This is a perfect opportunity to make a couple of new friends, Amanda thought to herself. She watched as the two girls before her state their occupations. Amanda racked her brain for a somewhat clever response. She gave up after a little bit, settling for something plain and simple. “I’m a merchant who sells strange little treasures and trinkets. This werewolf business is scaring away all of my customers. Down with the werewolf, I say!” Amanda said, getting into character. She grinned. This was going to be so much fun.

Lilith was unaware of the game "Werewolf" but the name instantly caught her attention. It seemed like a much better option than going on a little hunt through the woods in search of plants. Lilith almost shivered at the thought. The rules seemed simple enough to understand. As Lilith stood around with the rest of Team 1, she felt a predator grin light upon her face. The others went around, spewing lies about fake lives.
"Lilith," the girl introduced herself, nodding her head slightly. Her grin gleamed white, showing a glimpse of her teeth. "And you're lucky I'm not the werewolf because you lot wouldn't survive the night. Or . . . am I?" Lilith mocked. The last thing she was going to allow happen was for this game to be boring even if it meant she had to stir the flames on her own accord.

Alexander was looking forward to the game, he himself had often played games like these with his parents on a few occasions and as a Slytherin, he himself knew that if he played his cards right that he could hopefully win this.
With a grin, either a malicious or kind one Alexander spoke with an Italian accent "I am the friendly old banker of this lil village. I make sure that those who need it can take a loan. But hopefully, someone will not kill me so as to not pay back their loans."
"I just hope these werewolves go away, death people are bad for business"

Memory is all we are. Moments and feelings, captured in amber, strung on filaments of reason. Take a man’s memories and you take all of him. Chip away a memory at a time and you destroy him as surely as if you hammered nail after nail through his skull

Why did Professor Solomon Lear's events always seem so... scary? There was a camping event that went horribly wrong and became famous, a cave where people were literally locked in and now the summer camp activity was... Well about werewolves, murder and death. One day, Serena was going to convince her Head of House to hold a nice and safe event that made people feel comfortable. Perhaps that was her mission for second year. He could hold an event where people could pet some bunnies and feed them or something. People like animals, that sounded nice. Who didn't want to play with bunny rabbits?
Nonetheless, the Hufflepuff was curious and decided to join in the game for the day. She was eventually assigned a team and made her way over to join the group. The Professor went around whispering their roles into their ears. Villager, Seer, Werewolf, Potions Master, Minion and... No wait, that was probably all of them.
Sitting down on the ground, leaning back against a tree trunk, Serena listened carefully as the Professor explained the setting. They were in a muggle village. That was a surprise for the muggle device fearing Professor but she accepted the premise nonetheless. She was told to pick a role. A girl she didn't remember the name of but recognised from somewhere went first, claiming to be a Fisher. Eris was a warrior, which Serena couldn't help but laugh at. She expected nothing else from the feisty redhead. If Eris was a warrior, then the werewolves better be careful!
The game started to become more enjoyable as people got into it. Another girl that she had never seen before was a merchant, that hated the werewolves for business purposes. The last girl to speak before Serena introduced herself as Lilith, giving no information about her job other than claiming to not be the were - whilst hinting she might be. A bluff or perhaps a double bluff. The first boy to speak became a banker.
Within moments, it was Serena's turn and she had absolutely no idea what to be. "Uhh..." She started, wondering what occupation she could claim. Her eyes fell onto the Quidditch rings in the far distance and a grin broke out, "I'm an athlete!" She claimed. Wait did a tiny village even have enough players for a sports team? Nonetheless, Serena continue to talk. She let her imagination go wild, "Well I want to be. I want to be Serena, the Professional Athlete and take part in the uh-" She paused for a moment. Quidditch was not a muggle sport. She needed a muggle event for this game. "Oh! Okay, so I'm currently a mail... woman? I deliver letters and parcels to everyone. And I'm the best around! None of those other villages have a delivery system like ours. I can deliver post to everyone in this whole village in record time! And I want to go into the Olympics to prove it to the world! The Postal Olympics! I'm going to become the fastest mailwoman athlete there is and make this village prosper!" She said enthusiastically, totally making up a fake sport and fake competition to go with her fake occupation.
"These darn werewolves are ruining everything, though. I can't deliver post or train as much anymore. How am I going to get the town's name onto the map if they are preventing me from training? I have a record to beat, why don't they understand that?!" She continued.
What in Merlin's name was the witch on about? Who knows... This is what happens when you ask a twelve year old to use their imagination and put them in a very unknown situation to them. The girl from London, grown up in her pureblood family now thrown into a game where she had to relate to muggles in a small unknown village? Yeah... this was going to be interesting.

Before now, Dinah had absolutely no idea what the game was or even the concept of it. She listened avidly to the Professor explained the rules, taking it all in in order to fully be prepared for the game ahead. She’d heard it was ruthless and if you wasn’t prepared you’d easily be caught out. Dinah hoped that the fact she was naturally suspicious of most people she met meant she would have something to give her a helping hand during the game. As she listened to the others give their backstories and their characters, she racked her brains for something she could use.
From what she could tell she needed to be able to talk to people, to work things out about them and to have at least some idea of who was the werewolves and who wasn’t. She knew it was probably a lot more difficult than it sounded.
“I’m the local barmaid. I serve drinks in the tavern and try to keep people happy. The wolves are driving away customers and my wages are getting cut. They need getting rid of.” She sat back, her arms folded over her chest and stared at the rest of the group, suspicion rife in her head.

This was gonna be fun.
Rosie placed her hands on her hips and stood near one of her friends as everyone said their occupations. They were cool, whatever. But Rosie’s was totally cooler. She may have put a little too much thought into what she wanted to be. She smiled at Serena when she announced hers, and Rosie sighed a bit. Perfect for her. Eris’ was good too, and Rosie giggled. Warrior was perfect for someone like her. When it came to her turn, Rosie proudly grinned, and began to tell everyone what she was, with pride.
Maybe a little too much.
"I’m a princess!” She said, loudly and proudly. “My family doesn’t want me to draw too much attention, so I’m wearing the same clothes as everyone else. But don’t be mistaken, I am not the small and fragile princess everyone expects, I plan on protecting this town with the warrior!” She giggled. Acting was fun. “I hope we can all get along! Except for the werewolves, of course.” Rosie said, rolling her eyes. She finally stopped talking, and sank back in the crowd, glad she got it out of her system. Rosie thought being a princess was cool, cause she could always be so much more than what people thought she was.
She could say that for herself as well, speaking from a muggle stand point.
