From what I have heard about you through the wonderful Gryffindor prefect Ashleigh Hazelwood, who organised this program, you are a fourth year Ravenclaw. I am delighted to hear that we are in the same house! Please tell me more about yourself if you would be so kind. For instance, what is your dorm? Maybe I can find you there. Hello, Cynthia! It is wonderful to hear from you, and I hope you are finding Hogwarts to be a happy place to be. I was happy to see that Ashleigh had paired us - there's absolutely nothing like some house loyalty! How do you find your first year to be going? Are you enjoying your time?
A bit about myself... well, I'm from Manchester, to start. My mother and father both work for the Ministry, we're a pureblood family. My mother is from St-Jean-de-Luz, France, and attended Beauxbatons, so I'm fluent in French! I am a fourth year, mostly keeping to myself and my studies, but I'm trying really hard to break that habit and become more extroverted. I'm in the Crowned Eagle Dormitory - I was super excited, I absolutely adore creating art and we've all been able to add to this great mural on one of the walls. Which dormitory did you end up in? I remember how excited I was when I first entered the dormitories, it truly was the first time something truly felt like home. Ravenclaw is such a special, special place - I can spend hours on the sofas in the Common Room by the fire.
I'm truly hoping we can become good friends - I am excited to hear about how your first year is going, and a bit more about you. Tell me everything - what about you do you feel defines yourself? I'd love to hear it all.

Thank you for your letter. I am finding Hogwarts amazing! I am enjoying my time here very much! Do you not think it is a wonderful place to grow both in our studies and emotionally? I’ve already made friends!
Since you have told me a bit about you, let me return the wonderful favour. I am from Oxford. It is quite a … unique … place to grow up. There is a famous muggle university there. Even though I am pure-bloood, I have visited it often in my childhood. The city itself is an simply amazing place to live! Have you seen the shops there? I suggest you come for a visit in the summer. My mother is, funnily enough, also from France. She lived in Paris and went to Beauxbatons, as well. Before she had me, she even taught there as a professor. Now she is an author and homeschooled me before Hogwarts.It is interesting … I am fluent in French as well. Bonjour! Hello My father’s history is not as interesting. He attended Hogwarts and Ravenclaw just like us. He works in the Department of Mysteries … I don’t know any more than that … but is it not an interesting job? It is true for me too … I am very introverted. The only way I like to talk is in letters. I am so thankful we found each other! I am in Bonelli’s Eagle, but feel free to come visit me there. I have not yet participated in any ‘traditions’ (as I am aware they are called), but they do sound quite fun. I can remember how excited I felt when I ended up in Ravenclaw. It is a very special place!
