So far, so good. The race had begun, and everyone was flying at alarming speeds. Some of his tea was injured, and that wasn't ideal, but he knew they were strong. They could handle it.

And the pigeons were in his favor! Maybe the one he'd picked up earlier had sent the others a message to not attack him? He'd never know. He wasn't a bird whisperer. But he was a Ravenclaw, determined to win this race. And hopefully his good luck here in the beginning wasn't the calm before a storm of disaster.

So far Della's flying couldn't be better. She avoided the thorns and made satisfying twists and turns through the trees, while other racers were struggling with bruises and scrapes. But she knew that races weren't won in the first few obstacles.

Up ahead, she spotted Xailah and Nick, flashes of red, disappear into a cloud of pigeons. She hoped they both were able to evade the birds. But she momentarily stopped worrying about her teammates and began worrying about herself as she now entered the birds' territory.

Focused, Bloom was making her way through the different units. She had luckily gotten through the pooping pigeons, but it wasn't until she felt something hit her from behind. She looked over quickly to see that it was none other than Hugh Lowe. Was this now a tradition from the Gryffindor? Bloom looked at him with anger and looked back ahead. She wasn't going to let him get away with it this time.

Bloom, unaware of what was coming next, ignored the slight pain from the rock that had hit her and focused the best she could on what was ahead.

A swing and a miss from Hugh Lowe as another projectile comes flying toward Ravenclaw front runner Bloom Silverton, missing by a hair as Bloom deftly dodges out of the way. Looks like it'll take more than one stone to take this bird down.

The racers continue on course, a few of them aiding each other and themselves in cleaning off the unsightly pigeon poop. It's not a terribly difficult task, but it is an unpleasant one, forcing Nick to slow down as he scourges the persistent poop out of the nooks and crannies of his outfit. Really not a nice way to spend the round. Ari is successful in aiding Harper with her pigeon problem, soap bubbles flying off of the girl's face as she speeds down the track.

Sadly, all of the wounds opened in Round 1 remain open, with blood pulsing out from Xailah, Hugh, Hunter, and Bloom. Thankfully, it's not too much for any of them to handle yet.

UNIT 2 - Moderate Thorns

Late from the starting line, Marina joins the fray, zooming forward through the thorns and getting caught in a few places as she speeds forward. The brave lion captain carries on without a hitch through the forest, however, not suffering too badly from her new wounds. Perhaps this late entrant to the fray will be enough to upset the balance!

Both Ari and Hunter suffer 50 damage and are covered in poop, too gross to help them.

Unfortunately, just cleaning the poop off of the racers wasn't enough. Those pigeons were above, swooping down with a vengeance as four more of the racers entered their domain. Ari and Hunter earned the birds' wrath, perhaps enraged by the betrayal of fellow birds trespassing in their habitat. Or maybe it was just random chance. Either way, both Ari and Hunter are covered in poop by the end of the ordeal, making it too difficult to bear touching them to save or alley-oop them.

The unfortunate trees on the marked race course are getting absolutely shredded as both teams pile through the woods, sending shrapnel and tree bark flying as they bump into each other and the sharp, stabbier bits of the trees. Several branches are left lying along the race track, ripe for the taking for any homicidal half-giants that might float by later.

The fog is thick, but thankfully, the racers' skulls aren't. An unfortunate Della is sidetracked in the fog, unable to maintain a straight course and forcing herself to make hasty, forceful corrections. That's going to make the next round difficult!

UNIT 11 - Moderate Waterfall

Xailah and Bloom look absolutely stunning as they race through the waterfall and approach the hidden caves beneath, the water in their hair sparkling as they zoom forward along the track. A beautiful rainbow arcs in the mist all around them, guiding the spectators' eyes down to where Harper, the less fortunate Raven, has been knocked clear off her broom by the force of the water. Thankfully Clair is on hand to rescue her, but she has to retreat back to Unit 10 to avoid going down with her.

The Gryffindor and Ravenclaw front runners are side by side as they enter the cave system under the waterfall, both knocking their heads on the way in. Unfortunately for the birds, the Ravenclaw in the lead seems to be looking much worse for wear after the beating taken from Hugh. Who will come out on top? I dunno, you guys figure it out.

It was almost like spider senses. Bloom could just feel that it was not the end of the rocks being thrown at her by the Gryffindor giant. She swooped by at what seemed like a perfect time, having the rock miss her. She looked back at the Gryffindor, Hugh Lowe, and smirked at him. She then looked forward and zoomed as fast as she could away from him.

Gripping her broom, Bloom went until a waterfall and in a cave. Little did she know that she was ahead by a lot from her team. She was neck to neck with an opponent, Xailah. Bloom never really knew her, but right now, they were in the same pace. "Hope you're not scared of the dark," she joked, and Bloom went into the cave with no fear.

After her late start Marina was glad that she was catching up to everyone else. Unfortunately, she will still quite far away. Thankfully another one of her team members was in the lead. Marina definitely apricated the festive obstacles, and she was grateful that she didn't get hit with the pigeons' poop.

Nicholas cast scourgify, a cleaning spell. The poop was gone, but he couldn’t clean up the mess he made because of the grunting lazy wave. Why use magic when it can't even fux your love life? She was desperately in need of a guide. How to confront your boyfriend 101. Should she approach him and ask what happened after the race or let him rest first because racing is tiring or never ask about it and create an imaginative heartbreaking scenario that he didn’t do that’ll end up crying acid rain on the pillow with Lucifur on her side curling like a ball having zero thought in his head? Maybe the latter option was the one she’d pick.

The whole situation made her sad. But one thing that at least she could be grateful for was the fact that she didn’t fly in this match. She didn’t have to experience the poop rain. “STOP POOPING YOU CUTE PIGEONS!”

The waterfall was such a beautiful thing, with the rainbow mist and the water pouring down. but it was just as dangerous as it was pretty. Clair only hoped that the races who had been pooped on would get cleaned up under the water, and not get knocked down. Harper was less fortunate and fell from her Broom, Swooping to the save Clair caught the other Raven. "you ok?" she checked as she flew back to unit ten.

"Gross..." as the pigeon poop landed on Hunter, he could feel part of himself retch only slightly at the fact he was hit by pigeon poop while having open wounds. He had to think and remind himself of other potions and various ingredients that smelled worse in nature. Murtlap Essence, Frogs brain, eel eyes, the very strong scent of formaldehyde from memory made the boy feel a bit queasy and he had to shake his head to forget: "Yeah, could be worse..." was all he could mutter as he continued onward covered in poop.
