Lunch with a New Friend
Wynn perked up at the mention of @Kim Sato . He mentioned how cool he was.Week one of classes, September 2022
Bailey smiled at that and said “He really is. One of the coolest, bravest, awesomest, kindest people here. He… is also my owl pal, and my best friend! We get to bake together sometimes, which is a lot of fun. Did he share food with you?”
As Bailey said this, she hoped Wynn would accept her offer to eat with her.
When he did, she grinned widely and said “Awesome! So… let so find a seat? We are allowed to sit at other tables- I sit at the Griffindor table sometimes with Kim. But… since we’re both Ravenclaw let’s just stick with the Ravenclaw table for today! How does that sound?”
Sitting down, Bailey Bailey as the second seat to the end of the table, and Wynn could pick with side of her, or sit across from her.
She left that decision completely to him, as she put her bag on the table next to her plate, and took out her water bottle.
Taking a sip of water, she smiled and asked “How surprised were you to see the food magically appear the day you arrived? It’s pretty cool isn’t it?”

An owl pal, Wynn thought.
He wondered if he would also have an owl pal in the future. The only letter recipients he had written to so far was his parents. Maybe further in the semester, he would also have friends close enough to have this kind of relationship between them.
“He did!” Wynn exclaimed, in response to Bailey’s question about Kim sharing food with him. “He gave me so many sweets! And they were all so yummy, I never knew there were so many of them!” The chocolate frog box Kim had gifted him was still safely stored in his dorm. Although he was curious about which card was in the box, Wynn didn’t plan on eating it until he was able to buy a second one for himself.
“That’s fine with me,” he said when Bailey proposed that they stick to the Ravenclaw table. Wynn debated taking the seat across her, but he felt like the table was too wide, and he would have a hard time making his voice loud enough for Bailey to hear him if they were to chat. Ultimately, with a bit of nervousness, he chose the seat beside her.
Wynn’s first feast was an unforgettable memory. Food and drinks appeared out of thin air, the entirety of the first years amazed by the grandiose of it. “Yeah! It was…well, magical!” Wynn sheepishly smiled, failing to find a better adjective. “I wasn't prepared for it to be so grand!”

Lunch with a New Friend
Wynn seemed excited at the mention of @Kim Sato and the food Kim had given the younger boy. Bailey smiled at this - she knew from personal experience, both cooking or baking with and eating Kim's food that everything was amazing.
"Neither did I! I was truly amazed to find out about all of the food-speaking of which..." bailey said, rummaging around her bag. She pulled out a chocolate frog in a box. "Did Kim introduce you to chocolate frogs? I bought a bunch on the train, but since im a third year now i can go to Hogsmead, so i have a ton left over. DO you want this one? Im going to insist you take it - think of it as a gift for someone who agreed to eat lunch with me!"
As they sat down at the Ravenclaw table bailey handed the chocolate frog to Wynn. He nervously sat next to her. Setting her bag on the ground, Bailey asked Wynn "What is your favorite thing that you've eaten? Doesn't have to be magical, could be something you mum makes. I dont care, im just curious!"
As the food appeared, Bailey smiled. It truly was a magical experience, even though she was three years into seeing it happen. Since it was dinner time there were tons of options. Bailey chose some roast beef, potato soup and a steaming dinner roll to accompany her salad. To drink bailey had her water bottle, and some tea. Peppermint tea to be exact.
Bailey dug in, and then glanced at Wynn, hoping to see him doing the same. She was also curious what he was eating.
