Daphne was just finished with History of Magic, having no class period afterwards. She was pretty happy that on Monday through Thursday, she had a free period. Although in later years, it would likely be different when she chose electives. She had followed Keith up the stairs into the corridors, wanting to confront him about what she had seen recently. Daphne had thought that she had seen Keith yelling an owl, an innocent owl! From her point of view, it looked like that, and with how she got about animals, she was obviously upset at him. "Hey!" She raised her voice and leaned forward, gently grabbing the purple-haired boy's robe before he could turn the corner. She looked rather upset, and her arms were crossed. Daphne had seen Keith at the Hogwarts Pensieve club meeting and around Hogwarts but this was her first time speaking to him. How could anyone be so mean to such a pure and innocent animal? Daphne never hated or disliked anyone before, but what she believed she had seen really ticked her off. However, she wouldn't say the reason to him, she wanted to get him to confess his wrongdoings. No matter how long it took.

Keith had been having a bad day. He had woke up late, having a nightmare the night before, so he was late to Charms. Then he fell in the hall on the way to History of Magic, so he was just having a bad morning. At lunch he had gotten food all over him, so he had to go change, and that made him miss half the Herbology class, which was his favorite. Keith had been upset all day, so it was no surprise his patience had run out by the time all his classes were over.
Keith had walked up to the owlery, having the feeling someone was watching him, but he brushed it off as paranoia. He was writing to his aunt when an owl started pecking at him! He yelled at it, not seeing it had a letter for him. He no longer sensed someone watching him, which was weird, but Keith didn't put that much thought into it.
He turned to see why it was pecking him and finally saw the letter. He apologized, "I'm sorry. It hasn't been a good day. I shouldn't have yelled at you. and took the letter. He grabbed a treat out of his pocket and gave it to the owl. He pet it and read the letter.
Keith got up to leave the room, and just as he was about to walk out the door someone yelled. He flinched, and turned, a girl grabbing his arm. Keith tried to say something, but he couldn't. A stern look remained on Daphne's face, she wouldn't let his flinching discourage ger. He had yelled at an innocent owl, and it was her job to ensure no animal was harmed, even if he didn't do anything physical. She couldn't back down now, if she did she'd look like a wimp or feel like her job was incomplete. Daphne had to push forward, and keep confronting this boy, viewing him as someone who wanted to bully animals allowed her to wash away any initial guilt that she may develop for doing this. "Aren't you going to say anything?? Stop acting so innocent!" Daphne pushed him to the ground with what strength she had and got out her wand with her other hand, pointing it at the boy. In reality, she didn't know any useful spells to exactly use on him but hoped that it would intimidate him anyway. "Hogwarts does not tolerate people like you! And Hufflepuffs may be called soft and weak but I will do everything in my ability to stop cocky Gryffindors like you from being terrors!" She declared. Daphne then bit on her tongue, waiting for a response. She didn't want to show any doubt or fear, she wouldn't to prove that she meant business even though she was bluffing. "Maybe I should use the slug vomiting charm or perhaps make all your hair fall off!"

Keith looked at the girl, she was blonde, and had greyish colored eyes, from what he could see. She was really mad at him. Maybe she was the one watching him in the owlery. Had she seen him yell at the owl. Now he felt really bad, but she didn't know the whole story.
The girl pushed him to the ground, and although he was strong, he let it happen. She must have seen him, yelling at that owl. Maybe she was why he felt like someone was staring at him, but why? Had she been following him? If so, why? He was just a boy, one who probably dyed his hair way too often.
Then the girl was standing over him, and Keith hid his fear. He wasn't scared of the girl, he was scared she would hit him though.
She started telling - more like yelling at him about his behavior. She called him cocky, how dare she! He didn't call her weak for her house, so why did she call him cocky for his? He was now mad, something he rarely felt. Keith stood up, "I am NOT cocky."
Then she threaten him. Saying she would use a spell on him. Keith couldn't believe his ears, but he left his wand in his pocket. "Do what you want, I won't be the one in detention." Detention. Daphne couldn't have that on her personal record, she prided herself in never getting in trouble. She slowly put her wand away, but that didn't mean that she would just walk off. She already said the insult, she couldn't just leave without looking like a wimp. "Oh so you are a tattletale too? And you are cocky! Her eldest brother was a Gryffindor so she felt like she had the right to speak about them. Daphne simply thought of what would her brothers say, they were far more confident and daring than her. Come on, Daphne! Embrace your inner Veela temper! "You can try to deny it but it's true! Always thinking you can get whatever you want just because of the famous Potter family that saved Hogwarts. Look at your hair, you probably dyed it just to get attention. Mr. Barney the Dinosaur." She huffed. Her entire tone changed, she didn't sound or move like herself, by portraying herself in this manner she wouldn't feel bad later. Good thing a professor or her friends weren't around. "Sure, there are some good Gryffindors but you're like a...wannabee jock. Honestly, I thought you'd be braver. You looked like you wanted to cry earlier...well guess what mommy isn't here for you to run too. I probably shouldn't have called you cocky when you're acting like a baby." Daphne stomped her foot and smirked, challenging him to call a professor. "Don't be shy, speak up."

Keith watched her put her wand away, she looked like she was thinking."She doesn't want detention... She thinks I'm a snitch!? She better realize who she's talking to." Keith gave her a dirty look, waiting for her to stop speaking, the house of Potter, really? He didn't even want to be in Gryffindor! He didn't realize parts of his parents were beginning to show.
"I'm not a snitch. I'm proud of my house but it doesn't mean I'm a brat." He said in a calm tone, still having that dirty look on his face. "I dyed my hair because of other reasons that don't concern you.
She said more things, "What the heck is a jock? I didn't want to cry, and DON"T BRING MY PARENTS INTO THIS!" Keith was yelling now, not realizing how angry he was. He gave her a death glare, she stomped. Who did she think she was? Talking to him like this, she must be out of her mind. Keith smirked, if she wanted to be mean, he would show her mean.
"Gryffindor this Hufflepuff that, shut up, you're annoying me. Didn't think I'd meet any prats, but here you are. Merlin, what is your problem? I was just tryna go back to my dorm but ya grab me, push me down, and yell at me. WHO DO YOU THINK YOU ARE?" Keith asked. He didn't realize his yelling might attract unwanted guests, or worse a prefect or professor.

"Well most Gryffindors are proud, so is it really a surprise? I bet if a professor came here that they would believe me anyway, after all it just looks like the common tattle telling of a Gryffindor in an effort to do a 'good deed'." She began to laugh right in his face when he yelled, forcing herself to lower her voice so that it'd look like he was the one causing trouble if anyone did come. "Aww, look at your face. You're so mad-it's because I'm right, isn't it? You sound like a mouse when you yell by the way." Daphne taunted. If he didn't know what a jock was then he was more than likely a pureblood. She widened her eyes a bit when he told her to shut up and clenched her fists. She had never gotten into a physical fight before, and honestly she didn't want to do one this close to Halloween. She couldn't get detention and end up missing getting a bunch of candy or hanging with her friends. "You know what..fine, go back to your dorm. I have class..but this is far from over. I'm not going to bother being late because of some arrogant pureblood. You'll be seeing me for the next seven years, and who knows, maybe if you get some brains you'll figure out my name." Daphne then remembered that she had recently acquired a dungbomb, which was in her bag as she didn't really want it lying around in her dorm. She grabbed it and suddenly threw it in his direction, the stink bomb giving off a putrid odor. With a proud look on her face, she whipped around, running off.
