An inky mess
Sighing, Lexie made her way over to the study room. The actual room was beautiful, with elegant furniture and classy decor. But, books and studying were not her forte. Lexie loved the outdoors, sports and competition. She also loved the fact she was good at sports, unlike academics which she always seemed to be lacking in skill. As if I'm going to be a professor, she thought. But it seemed even to become a Quidditch or Duelling player, she needed to know at least the basic understanding of magic.
She sat down on a wooden chair, surprised that it was comfortable. Opening a note book and taking out a pot of ink, she dipped her favourite quill into the pot. Her elbow somehow got in the way, and spilt the dark blue liquid all over her book and part of her sweater. Lexie groaned with frustration. This was just what she needed. Luckily for her, there weren't many people in the room, or so she thought. The sound of the door opening made her cringe, and she immediately tried to clean up the ink, but just ended up making it worse by spreading it around. With another quiet groan, she looked up to see who had come in.

An inky mess
I was going to a quiet area to study(or to read? I still can't figure it out), and I had heard of a place where you could do exactly that. The study room, it was called. Quite an unimaginative title, but what else are you gonna call it when there's nothing to do but boring old studying? I really didn't like studying anyway, but I knew that if I didn't, people would know since I don't have an excellent memory. As to be expected, I got lost. This was absolutely typical. I didn't even know where the study room was. I was previously on the first floor, but now I had gone higher. Didn't know how high, though. So, I started opening random doors to see if I could get any clues. Nothing important, except for the abandoned toilets. Then, I opened one door and saw someone, a girl who looked to be a first-year like I was, trying to clean up a sopping mess of ink. I bit my lip and said, "Let me help with that," then I took a handkerchief out of my pocket and started working on the mess of ink. Before long, the handkerchief was soaked almost all the way through. Around me, pens always seemed to burst with ink, one way or another, so I wasn't a stranger to ink spills.

An inky mess
With straight red hair, pale skin peppered with freckles and dark green eyes, the girl who had come in was very pretty. She seemed about Lexie's age, and she accepted her help immediately. Lexie watched closely as the girl took out a handkerchief and soaked nearly all of the ink. Letting out a sigh of relief to see that the ink didn't stain the wooden table, Lexie ran her hand through her hair and smiled. "Thanks! Would you like to sit down? I'll try not to spill anymore ink." She chuckled, and looked down, cringing when she saw the bottom of her sweater was now a shade of dark blue. Even with the girl's super absorbent handkerchief, Lexie doubted it would come out, so she moved on and looked back at the girl.
Lexie thought she recognized the girl from her Charms class, she thought she sat behind her. She wanted to thank for cleaning up her mess with a gift, so she dug through her back and found an unopened chocolate frog she had. "Here, a token of my appreciation." Lexie placed it on the table, and waited for her to take if, before realizing she hadn't introduced herself. "Oh, I'm Lexie. What's your name?"

An inky mess
As soon as I finished mopping up the inky mess, the girl offered for me to sit down, so I did. I smiled at the girl and noticed that her sweater was stained with ink. "You might need to wash that sweater. The ink will be hard to get out, but I'm sure it's fine." I said, though I felt like cringing a little at that last part. Then the girl looked into her bag and fished out a chocolate frog. I had seen these in Honeyduke's! The girl offered it as a token of appreciation, she said. I smiled, took the frog, and pocketed it. "Thank you!" I said. "You didn't need to do that, but thank you so much!" I was about to ask her what her name was since I was tired of not knowing what to properly call a person, but the girl beat me to it. Turns out, her name was Lexie. "I'm Aurora! Nice to meet you, Lexie! You can call me Ro, by the way." I told her, smiling. And then, against my will, I asked, "What house are you in, Lexie? I'm in Hufflepuff." I felt like I had eaten something bad. Oh gosh Ro, did you really say that aloud? Oh well. It was out there, anyway. I waited for Lexie's answer, a little nervous.
