Poisonous Breath
Hunter was surprised by Marius' response. He presumed he was going to have to wager a bit longer and eventually become annoyed with whatever was bound to be said. Hunter didn't feel like he was in power, but he knew where it was located. He was the one with the advantage, and he knew that as much. Still, though, he felt meek in comparison to Marius and was still going to be cautious as he continued their talk. Hunter's surprise was only further prolonged as Marius began to create demands despite not being in a position to do so. Hunter felt like refuting, but there was little harm and a small loss in accepting Marius' demands if it meant the situation would be a bit more calmed down: "Fine then, but if you ask me the theoretical aspects are more helpful and interesting than just knowing the recipe." Hunter sometimes had displeasure for students who only cared for the recipes of potions, while he on the other hand respected every aspect of them.
The unique ingredients used in potions were the best ways to know what the potions were capable of, and if anything Hunter treated his ingredients to be just as useful as a completed potion. With a sigh, the boy removed the satchel across his body and carefully removed various ingredients inside glass jars and vials, as well as an assortment of potions. After removing a large number of items from the satchel, he stood up and placed the satchel in the middle of the room between him and Marius: "I, unfortunately, don't carry my cauldron with me everywhere, so, for now, my satchel will have to do. This is a demonstration, so I highly suggest you listen closely and take note of what I say. This is probably the last time you'll get to see what's required for a Dogsbreath potion." Hunter gave a slightly daunting look at Marius as if the boy couldn't understand why other people couldn't recall potion recipes or charms as easily as he. Then again, all Hunter did was study and study; he had little time to do anything incredible or fun like Marius probably had.
Hunter grabbed an empty glass vial and filled it with some disgustingly green water from one of the abandoned sinks. Using the levitation spell, he drifted the murky water vial into his satchel "First, is water, 10 ounces of water to a cold cauldron." Then Hunter flicked his wand, reciting the correct incantation to levitate a jar of rather small brown organs into his satchel as well: "Then you'll need to add three rat spleens, chopped. Afterward, stir once in a clockwise motion. Understand? Clockwise." Hunter continued to use the levitating spell to further the necessary movements, slowly spinning his satchel clockwise as a display for Marius. "Then you'll need to add a fire seed to the potion, and allow it to boil the cauldron on it;s own. After boiling, stir once clockwise again." Hunter lifted a jar of seeds that appeared to be on fire and placed it in his satchel, spinning it again.
"That's a third of the recipe, I hope you remember it well. So answer one of my questions, and we'll continue on with this lecture." Hunter's voice was still rather monotoned, unimpressed, and rather bored in nature. He gave thought as he kept his distance away from Marius, waiting for the poison to worsen over time but also gain the answers he needs, "For starters, who are you best friends with Mr.Brown?" An odd question, but Hunter had his reasons as the question escaped from his lips.
@Marius Brown

Impatiently, Marius blew. The preteen did not blew a raspberry, but he let out an audible, impatient blow. He did not ask for a demonstration on how to brew the Dogsbreath Potion, but rather honest commentaries and suggestions regarding his brew. Why, recipes and theories were easy to memorise, and one could watch a demonstration for a thousand times, but still got their brew imperfect.
To top it all, after his crime and stupid misunderstanding in regards of what Marius said about 'learning to brew', Hunter still got the nerve to ask whom the Chinese-English boy was best friends with. Considering his earlier threat of poisoning other Hufflepuffs (or whatever his words actually were, but Marius only remembered this prediction was what his brain had made), it would not be surprising that the person whose name he would give to the Ravenclaw would fall victim to his next devious plan.
"One minute, Mr Argentum," he finally spoke, returning to the formal way to address the other pupil. Everything that had happened signalled business, even if it was an ugly, shady business; and one had to be formal in business. "I said we brewed. I don't need the recipe or a demonstration; I'm paying you to give me advice regarding my brewing technique, like where it goes wrong."
After a slight pause to regain his breath, "And to answer your personal question, I'm not best friends with anyone. Not in Hufflepuff, not in Ravenclaw, not in Gryffindor, not in Slytherin."

Having eyes, but not seeing beauty; having ears, but not hearing music; having minds, but not perceiving truth; having hearts that are never moved and therefore never set on fire - these are the things to fear.
