Welcoming Bonfire
Clearly, she was being moved away from Leonie and Sebastian, and Sorrel realized she really didn't care. The romance of two of her colleagues was not a problem for Sorrel, it wasn't like she was close friends with either of them. Their flirtation was not her problem, but even so, it felt odd to be around. Something just felt off. Sticking her hands into the pockets of her sodden dress, Sorrel allowed the red head woman to maneuver her away from the Slytherin Head of House and recent Deputy Headmaster. (Lord only knew why the flirtatious bastard had been chosen to get control over the school. Hopefully he was better at his work than he was at flirting.)
Turning towards the Runes Professor, attempting to ignore the pounding of her heart and the worry that nagged at her, just from the effect that talking to a new person provided, Sorrel tightened her grasp on the fabric of her dress, allowing the pressure to root her, and distance her thoughts from the anxiety that threatened to make her stutter and gasp for words.
"You can call me Sorrel." She finally mustered, faint smile spreading to her lips. The name Professor Wright had always seemed too formal to the woman. Back at Castelobruxo, the professors had been much more imformal with their students than the professors at Hogwarts, and the usage of the term "Professor Wright" made Sorrel feel all mighty and powerful, which she wasn't.
The mention of her bird relaxed the woman fully, and the smile tugging at her lips turned into a beam. "Nice to meet you,Adelaide," She talked easily then, all smiles and cheer, worry forgotten, as excitement over her bird took over everything. "I do have an augrey! I found him in the middle of the wilderness on an expedition to find more magical plants, and he's been with me ever since. He's a darling, even though he's even more rude than some of the professors here, which is saying something."

Addressing Mia Alexander and Isabella Hills
"No, it's perfectly okay!" Ami reassured her, with a wide smile. Mia was one of her closest friends here at Hogwarts, and she never would turn someone like that away. Addressing both Mia and Isabella, Ami asked, "What cabin do you think you guys will get? I'm hoping I either get Cazarez's cabin or Lear's, I think." Really, they were only two professors she had had contact with outside of class. "You know, unicorns or inferi, they both sound pretty a-okay to me." While the two creatures were exact opposites of each other, Ami still liked them both.Ami, I'm the one who should apologize- barging in like this.
The unicorn, the animal symbol for life, was a creature of immense interest to Ami. I mean, come on, a white horse with magical blood that had been rumoured to exist in the Muggle world, and then its existence was confirmed and solidified in the wizarding world. Seriously, it was just- it blew her mind that such a majestic creature could exist. And inferi! The gory, gruesome zombies of the wizarding world. Actually, scratch that, they were better than zombies, because they were smart, and didn't move like a snail through molasses.
Ami drove these distracting thoughts out of her mind, however, and waited for the girls' responses.

Interacting with Eris Fawley, Max Avery, Serena Towers, Rosie Parker, Dorothy Do, and Phaedra Stavrou
The warmth of the fire was comforting as December approached the gaggle of campers and staff. She had wanted to arrive fashionably late, because let's be real, nobody likes being the awkward one that shows up first and is forced to carry out weird small talk with whoever happens to be there. With most of the others already arrived, it was easy for her to scope out the crowd and mingle herself in wherever she pleased.
Many students were already engaged in conversations with each other, which was a minor inconvenience, but not one that she couldn't overcome. After a quick scan of the masses, she recognized a spot of red hair that was surrounded by some familiar faces. She took advantage of the opportunity and set forth to insert herself into the group straight away.
December straightened her posture and began walking briskly towards the redhead. She had said a couple of words to Eris here and there, but most of the others were little more than strangers. The idea of interacting with new people had never daunted her, though. ”Hey Eris!” she pushed a piece of white-blonde hair behind her ear before nodding to the rest of the group. ”Hello, everyone!” She’d seen most of them around before, but hadn’t paid them much attention. She noticed that a couple were prefects, which further solidified her decision to stick around. ”My name is December, in case we haven’t met before. It’s a pleasure to make your acquaintance.” She didn't know what the conversation had been about before she had arrived, but he was sure it couldn’t have been anything too important.

Interacts with Lilith Westlocke
It was hard to describe how Dinah felt upon seeing Lilith approach her. On the one hand, they had enjoyed an adventure together through a certain secret tunnel in the castle and Dinah felt they got along well, even if it didn’t always seem like it. On the other hand, Dinah sometimes had to question whether or not Lilith was joking about certain things she said as it wasn’t always easy to distinguish.
Dinahs liking for the girl greatly outweighed her worries however and she broke into a grin as Lilith came over.
She noticed the girl was barefoot and suddenly felt her own feet getting rather hot in her black boots. It was a nice, warm day and with the added heat of the fire, Dinah couldn’t help but feel that the choice of a leather jacket, boots and dark jeans was perhaps a bad one. Maybe Lilith had the right idea, getting hands (or feet) on with the nature.
“Hi Lilith. I’m glad to see you’re here. Thought I’d be on my own. Yes, it is rather great although I’ve never been to a summer camp before so I don’t really have anything to compare it with.”
She followed Liliths lead and the pair headed over to one of the logs that constituted as a bench, not too far from the crackle of the fire. Dinah took the vacant spot of log that Lilith was indicating she sit at.
“Yeah I’m having a real good time. Feels good not to have homework to be doing.” Dinah sighed, leaning back on the log and surveying her surroundings. The smell of the burning wood and the sound of happy people talking, having a good time made a smile fit itself onto her face. It wasn’t like Dinah to be all soppy and...full of feelings.
Shaking herself out of it she looked sideways at Lilith who was staring off to the area where the cabins were laid out.
“So have you been in the cabin yet? I heard we’re sharing.” Dinah turned her smile into a playful smirk. “Won’t that be fun?”

When did all these people get here?
Rosie rubbed her temples and sighed, looking at the crowd forming. She waved lightly at the others who had joined in, most of them wanted to talk to Eris. Figured, Eris was pretty cool. She waved again (Rosie scolded herself internally for waving two times) to the others before sinking out of the crowd, making her way to a less crowded area on the grass. On the way, she spotted Anatole. Jesus, him. They hadn't talked since the incident. And god, how could she? Everytime she looked at him she thought he saw her as a desperate crush. She huffed and peeled her gaze away from him. She figured Lucy O'Sullivan was giving him better conversation anyway.
Anyways, her gaze fell on the professors. How mad would they be if Rosie tried to engage with them? After all, they were grownups. She sighed and stood near the fire, tugging at her sleeves anxiously. Sometimes it was better to be alone. She thought about how most of her friends were purebloods, mostly people wanted to talk to them. Rosie sighed and looked towards the grass, kicking it lightly. She was silent, for once. Honestly, Rosie just wanted to know what her cabin was. Purebloods had big status anyways, she knew that.
Not everyone wanted to talk to a mudblood.

Addressing Rosie Parker!

Sabrina felt like she was one of the last people to make it down to the Bonfire. When she arrived with her things that she was bringing into her cabin, there were already so many people around the fire... would there be any more coming? She placed her things on the side of the area, where she caught glimpse of several other bags and suitcases. When she turned back around, she decided that she'd might as well survey the crowd and find someone to speak with.
With her left elbow being held by her right hand, her eyes skimmed the faces of various people. She could see Eris, but she wasn't sure if she should approach such a big crowd. It was not often that the two found themselves in different crowds, though this seemed to be one of those times. Rhea was no where to be found, neither was Reid. The brunette girl pursed her lips, crossing her arms over her chest insecurely.
To the side of the fire area, another brown-haired girl was standing in the grass. With a small smile on her lips, Sabrina made her way over, her heart beating hard against her chest at the thought of this girl possibly turning her away. She let out a deep breath as she walked over, and approached the other girl, standing next to her as she looked back at the crowds.
"Hi," She greeted, shyly considering she still wasn't sure on whether or not this girl would be accepting, or if she would turn her away, "I'm Sabrina."

today you are the fire

Interacting with Ami, Isabella, and Syrah

Mia smiled at Syrah, and motioned her to sit down next to her on the log. It was getting pretty full, and Mia silently wished that no one else would join them.Hey guys!I'm so glad all of you are at the camp this summer! I wonder if any of us are in the same cabin? How awesome would that be?
Mia smiled at Ami and thought for a moment before blurting out her answer uncertainly. What cabin do you think you guys will get? I'm hoping I either get Cazarez's cabin or Lear's, I think. You know, unicorns or inferi, they both sound pretty a-okay to me.
Phoenix. I want to be in Sorrel's cabin because, well, I just think that she's amazing! She finds a way to make all of her classes interesting, and can command the attention of everyone, and I mean everyone. She's just... so.... perfect. I really do hope that we all get in the same cabin. That would be amazing!
Smiling at the girls, Mia waited for them to start talking. She had rambled, like she usually did when she was talking about something she was passionate about, and she worried that the rest of the girls would dislike her for that.
Scooting closer to hear the other girl's responses, Mia's hand touched Ami's and she shivered, sparks flying up her hand. Why did she do this to herself? Ami was a whole person, devoid of much drama, at least in her eyes. Besides being a good friend, she was equal to Sorrel in terms of levels of admiration. But Mia didn't want to scare her away. All she could do was bite her tongue.

[Interacts with Mia Alexander, Ami Procoppio and Syrah Steele]
American. The girl who had introduced herself as Ami was American. She had been to America on a number of occasions, and she had loved it. She envied the girl, America was one of her favourite places in the world. And if her hunch was correct and she had actually lived there, the girl would find herself being forced to be her friend.
Isabella nodded at Mia Alexander as she greeted the two. She didn't know Mia that well, but she had worked on the newspaper team with her and had heard she was one of the nicer Slytherins. From the way Ami and Mia greeted each other, it was obvious they had met prior tonight.
Almost as soon as Mia sat down, another girl came up to them. Her name was Syrah, or something like that. She knew for a fact she was in Slytherin - as they had worked on the newspaper together. She was struggling to remember all these names. Sure there were only four of them, but she wasn't good with names. She had no idea how she remembered her own name half the time.
"What cabin do you think you guys will get? I'm hoping I either get Cazarez's cabin or Lear's, I think. You know, unicorns or inferi, they both sound pretty a-okay to me." Thinking for a moment, she ran over the options in her head. Cazarez's cabin did sound pretty cool, who wouldn't want to be a unicorn? He seemed like a cool professor - even if his subject was the most boring one there was. Lear was rumored to be one of the more, um, disturbed professors. He seemed nice enough - but she didn't want to end up like the Hufflepuffs did at their camp out. The whole school had heard about that. On the bright side, there wouldn't be a dull moment in his cabin. Professor Scheinberg, her Head of House, scared her (even though she'd never admit it) and while she wouldn't mind being in her cabin, she wouldn't choose to spend a month with her - a few days she would, maybe even a week or two, but the thought of spending a month with the Defence Against the Dark Arts professor worried her. Coming to a decision, she opened her mouth to reply before she was cut of by Mia.
"Phoenix. I want to be in Sorrel's cabin because, well, I just think that she's amazing! She finds a way to make all of her classes interesting, and can command the attention of everyone, and I mean everyone. She's just... so.... perfect. I really do hope that we all get in the same cabin. That would be amazing!" Her face split into a smile. At least she wasn't the only one who liked the Herbology professor. "Wright seems like she'd be one of the cooler professors. I love all her classes, and it would be amazing to be in her cabin. I really want us to be in the same cabin, it'd be nice to actually know someone." She wasn't lying either, she hoped at least one of them would be in the same cabin as her. If she was in a cabin where she didn't know anyone, she knew she would just die.
You see? Even death has a heart.

Lilith brought one of her knees up to the side of her chest, resting her arm on it. She just shrugged. "It can't be too bad here. Personally, I think this is the best place to spend my summer." Lilith rested her face on the back of her hand. Where else did she have to go? Back to her parents weren't an option and the Leaky Cauldron was expensive. When she ran out of money, they'd kick her out on the streets to live with the Muggle children for a couple of months.Interacts with Dinah Dragensail
"You know Hogwarts. They probably already have a whole bunch of learning activities rearing to go. I heard they have herbology sign-ups forever to go look at some plants in the woods. I doubt we are getting out of this camp without having learned something. The shame," Lilith shook her head.
She loved learning magic, but she liked learning actual magic. The history of it or what the words meant. She just to know how to flick her wand and make the sparks fly. But it was summer and Lilith's brain was fried. She wanted to spend her time chilling near Black Lake and getting some alone time (and maybe explore the Forbidden Forest, but the professors didn't need to know that). Plus, herbology wasn't a particular strong suit of hers.
"Anyways, do you know what else they will be doing here? They have so many students staying that they must have more planned to keep up entertained. Maybe some Quidditch or dueling? That would be a breath of fresh air."

Welcoming Bonfire
Emma walked up to the campfire, viewing the many people that had already made their way to the bonfire. She was already so late. After putting up her bags in her cabin she had greeted a few cabinmates. She looked at the ground in the attempt to withdraw the eyes of numerous people, though she knew they were all busy chatting. It was hard looking down, though she wanted to find a familiar face in the crowd. She snuck a glimpse, everyone she remembered was either speaking to someone else or she had made an enemy with.[Interacts with Sabrina Hurst and Rosie Parker]
Finally, she had noticed a group of two. Both looked pretty shy, so they were practically perfect for her. Emma glanced at a tree as she continued to walk, it was her way of being absentminded. As she approached the two, it seemed a bit outlandish. Wandering up to a couple of strangers wasn't specifically her strength.
If Emma had any chance of making a few friends this year, she had to step out of her comfort zone. She approached the two, her eyes still on the partly identical trees. She thought of a proper way to greet the two without sounding desperate or bored.
"Uhm, hi, I'm Emma." She waved at the two as she came to a stop as two figures came into her sight. She looked at the blazing fire that had certainly been set on fire with 'Incendio'. A thought in the back of her head made her wonder if she could ignite something like that.
