Game on!
@Alan Vanes
It was a hot summers day in the mid-afternoon, at least twenty-four hours since all of Bloom's clothing were burned into nothingness. Here she was, dressed in her only owned outfit: her dark blue one-piece swimsuit. Bloom couldn't bare to be indoors today, and did not want to see the sight of some people, so what better than to be outdoors and get some fresh air.
Bloom was most definitely emotionally hurt by the fact that someone was rude enough to disintegrate the only thing she owns. It wasn't like she was able to buy any new clothing. She and her family did not have a lot of spending money-- just enough to get by and live comfortably. What was Bloom going to tell her parents? That she has absolutely no clothes and needs a whole new wardrobe? All of her clothes came from her sister, and Bloom's clothes to her younger sister. They already have to buy new clothes for their little brother. Now more clothing for Bloom? She felt that they would be beyond angry, as well as concerned of her treatment at camp. Who knows what her father might do.
It wasn't until she saw a friendly face that she remembered from the past, but also knew that they were tenting together. It was Alan Vanes. The last time prior to camp that they met was when playing tic-tac-toe together. How many months was it? Years? Bloom called out to him. "Alan!" She gave the Gryffindor a wave, in hopes that he could find her easily in the bunches of people.
Bloom walked up to him with a smile. Alan should be a friendly face and person in the tent. He was Howard's best friend, after all. If Howard can be extremely close to Alan, then Alan is by far a great person, and Bloom could tell after her encounter with him in the courtyard.
"I need to take my mind off of what happened yesterday," she said, assuming he had known about her belongings burning in the tent. "Care to take on a challenge and play Connect Four with me?" she asked with a smirk. Bloom hoped he would say yes and they would play the muggle-style game together. "A game with you is long overdue!" she added with a small laugh.

Game on!
Alan had been sitting in his area, grooming Tiger by brushing him and occasionally offering the feline some treats to chew on as his body rumbled due to the purrs. It wasn't a long time of solitude, when Bloom approached him after a while, asking if he wanted to play another round of connect four with her. It has been a long time since they had last played that children's game, but he instantly sat up to happily accept the challenge. However one thing in particular did strike him as odd.
"What happened yesterday?" he tried to ask casually as he was moving around to gather a pen and a sheet of paper, where they could draw on. Once he had scribbled the four lines onto the paper, two of which were horizontal, whereas the other two had been sketched vertically to create the familiar crisscross pattern, he handed the pen over to Bloom. "You start this time, since I won the last round," he said. It was a random thing to remember, but perhaps not so random as it was quite the fun first encounter the both of them had shared. He was however still curious to see what she would have to say about yesterday, if anything she had spoken in a way that indicated that it was either nothing much worth mentioning right away or something he should have known without her telling him. Either way, his curiosity was piqued.
