The flame kept going up his arm, and he knew that the navy uniform he wore so proudly would need a serious Reparo or manual repairs later. It was almost comical how our vain boy would be irritated about his uniform right now in the middle of a duel. However, his anger fueled his senses instead of diluting them, allowing him to carefully avoid an oncoming Knockback Jinx.

He almost let out a chuckle of amusement at Miss Yavlinsky's words. His partner sure had an attitude that made him grateful she was on his team rather than an opposing one. "Those who refuse to get hit are the most frustrating. Let's get this done quickly."

Maybe it was the friendly challenge she incited -- the comment about him hitting Miss Sable next time -- that made his spell finally land. And when it did, he narrowed his eyes in satisfaction. "Thanks for staying put, Miss Sable. Now, do us a favor for the next round, too."

The little snake had slithered away from Kamila's spell again, but her partner had at least hit Gemima. "Good job," She said to him. "We will get her eventually."

This time Kamila would catch Gemima and hit her. She wasn't going to let herself fail again.

Jake had hoped that the underdog Ravenclaw would be able to fight back for Hogwarts, and for her team. And well, maybe just because it was really hard to watch one person fighting two. But in reality, underdog stories didn't always go like they did in books, and sometimes the numbers advantage was just too much to overcome. Gemima's feet were dancing, and she had been staggered backwards, and though Akira's arm was still ablaze, it seemed he could sense victory being so near. It just seemed to motivate him more, the irritation clear on the boy's face, but both he and Kamila had their sights set right on Gem.

Jake nearly covered his eyes when they cast at the girl who was still staggering from the previous round, unable to even raise her wand. Another dancing-feet spell from Akira, and a knockback from Kamila....both hit their target perfectly, and this time Gemima was driven backwards and off of her feet. She didn't get back up. Jake let out a shaky breath. Just like that, it was over.

"Um, we have our winners!"he said, trying to muster up the enthusiasm the game required, even though somebody was on the ground hurt which made it really hard... "Congratulations to Akira and Kamila..." the Hufflepuff said, giving them a bit of a wary glance. They had just managed to defeat all of the Hogwarts duelists and there was something about their attitude that made him feel like they just knew they were going to win the whole time. It was kind of intimidating. They were truly amazing duelists.

"Ravenclaw has second place....good job to every team!" Jake said, hurrying over to make sure that Gemima would be helped out, and glancing at Akira's arm which luckily had lost its flame.
