I miss you
Volaril sat in the owlery, writing a letter.
Dear Anastasia,
I miss you so much and can’t wait to return from boarding school to see you! Remember when Fluff ran off to your house and we met for the first time? And to think we lived apart for 6 years!
Volaril didn’t know what to write to her only muggle friend. She hated lying to Anastasia, but what was the alternative? She began to write again.
If you see Fluff or Violet, tell them I love them and
Volaril suddenly started violently ripping apart her letter. It didn’t feel right. She began again.
Dear Anastasia,
I miss you. Boarding school is interesting but not nearly enough without you. Remembering the times we spent singing Hamilton and Le Mis is unforgettable. Our love of musical theater is endless, nearly as endless as the friendship we have for each other. If you see the Korores’ out on a walk or something, send them my love. I’m not throwing away my shot.. to write to you.

Finally satisfied, Volaril found a school owl and tied her letter to his leg, telling the owl to go to the address, but not to be seen, and to leave it by her door. A tear ran down Volaril’s cheek as the owl flew away.
