The shiny trophies sitting on shelves had the names of Quidditch and Duelling players, Prefects and other talented magic users. Lexie hoped one day, her name would be on one of the polished awards. She had wandered into the room by accident, on her way back to the Gryffindor dorms, and became fascinated by the room. The crackling fireplace made the room warm and cozy like the most Hogwarts, but there was something so great about it, that Lexie found herself walking around in circles, closely looking at the pieces.

Apparently, she was so engrossed with the trophies, she didn't hear the person come in. Well, if she did, she ignored it or her brain didn't register it. Only once the person was right next to her, did she notice. It was obvious a presence was standing right by her, but she couldn't exactly whip her head around, so she just waited. It occurred to her, that maybe the other person was thinking the same thing, so the two of them would just be standing there for the rest of eternity. No, she couldn't have that.

"I really like this room," Lexie said, quietly. It was after she commented that, when she turned her head to face the person.

After Quidditch practise, I am all sweaty and tired, and I just feel like going straight to my dorm to have a shower then sleep. That's until, as I walk down the third floor, my eye catches something shiny in the room next to me. My curiosity takes the best of me, and I walk into the room. As soon as I walk inside, I see hundreds of gold, silver and bronze trophies. Their all displayed on shelve's, podiums, and some even have glass cases over them.

"Wow..." I say quietly to myself in amazement. As my eyes trail around the room, I then come to see a chestnut haired girl, probably about my age, staring at a trophy too. I went to see what she was looking at, and stood next to her. It was a Quidditch trophy, something that I wanted to wanted to win someday. For a little while, we both stood there, mesmerized by the trophy. That's until she said quietly, "I really like this room." She then turned her head to look at me, so I did the same.

I finally saw how she looked like. She had light skin and faint freckles, and her eyes were pale green, I was somehow fascinated by those, as I've never seen an eye color as pale and saddening as those. "Yeah, me too," I say politely with a smile on my face." I'm Emma," I tell the girl, smiling even brighter, and sticking out my hand for her to shake. As I wait for a response, and her to shake my hand if she wants to, I look around at the room once again, being something like bewitched to the beauty and delicacy of the room.

Turning to face the person, Lexie's eyes immediately darted to the girl's deep blue eyes. They were mesmerizing, like staring into them would hypnotize you. She had blonde hair that looked slightly brown in the trophy room's warm lighting. Lexie smiled at the Gryffindor robes she was wearing, glad to see a fellow Gryffindor. Listening to her speak, Lexie realized she recognized the girl, who introduced herself as Emma. Emma was on the Quidditch team, second string, Lexie guessed, given her age.

Lexie hadn't gotten to apply for the team yet, since she had promised her father to settle down at Hogwarts and focus on her academics before joining a team sport. She had begrudgingly agreed, but now was severely regretted making such a promise. "Lexie, nice to meet you." Lexie finally noticed Emma's outstretched hand held for a handshake, and obliged. "Hey, you're on the Quidditch team, right? I think I've seen you practice."

Awaiting a response, Lexie's eyes go back to the trophy case in front of her, where a Gryffindor Duelling prize stood, the red and gold colors gleaming at her. A strange sense of pride hit her, and her smile broadened slightly, before turning her attention back to Emma.

I see the girl who I now know name is Lexie, look at the trophy in front of her. A Gryffindor Duelling prize. She then smiles, then looks back at me. I remember that she asked me something, "Oh, um yeah, I am. I'm only a second string though, so it's not exactly a huge deal," I say, feeling a sudden nervous feeling. I'm not one to talk about myself, so I'm usually more of a humble and modest kind of person. I am more of a listener than a talker, but when I feel like it, it'll be pretty hard for you to shut me up. "And well, I'm not that good anyway, so when you see me at practise, don't judge," I also feel a bit embarrassed thinking that someone's seen me play. Like, I know that when you do things like Quidditch and stuff, people are obviously going to look at you, but if you make a mistake and mess up, it's one, super embarrassing, and also a huge guilt trip from there.

I decide to change the subject to not only get the attention away from me, but also get to know this Lexie girl. "So, what brang you here? Tell me if I'm wrong, but I'm assuming from the way you were looking at that Duelling trophy before, you're interested in stuff like that?" Honestly, I hope I am right, because it would be super humiliating for me if I was wrong.

"You seemed pretty good from what I saw. And second string is still good for our age," Lexie remarked. Emma changed the subject onto her so Lexie had to think before answering. "I love sports! Been playing since I could walk, basically." A bit of doubt leaked into Lexie's thoughts. She had been playing a range of sports since she was little, but none included any sort of magic. She was a bit scared she wouldn't be able to cut it at playing Quidditch or Duelling, but hoped her general sporty talent would give her a good chance.

Lexie realized both Emma and herself's eyes were lingering when they found a Gryffindor trophy, which made her realize Emma was probably a Gryffindor, much like herself. Hm, Lexie thought she might have seen Emma at the common room, but maybe it was another blonde haired girl with a sapphire blue ring. "I'm a Gryffindor, what about you?"

Waiting for her answer, Lexie walked towards the left, to look at more trophies, figuring Emma would follow her. She checked her watch to see it was nearly time to go to the Great Hall to eat dinner. Thinking about inviting Emma to sit with her, she waited once again for an answer.
