Ben did his best to avoid eye contact with Serena after she noticed the remains of the fire as well. This was a horrid mess indeed. Serena made her move towards the teapot and it was running straight for him. This was his chance to fix everything. If he could catch this monstrosity now and return it to the original form, he could run to the fire and save everything. He hoped it wasn't too late to save the most important piece though: Serena's friendship.

When the teapot got close he dropped the cloak on top of it while flinging himself around it. He hoped it wouldn't get crushed or escape... it had to be a happy medium. The Ravenclaw boy got a good grasp and felt he had it, but it squirmed and was hard to keep in place. Ben glanced upwards to Serena as he struggled and shouted out to her.

"It's squirming! Help me hold it down!" he pleaded more than he demanded in tone, hoping it didn't come out as an order. "Come on... you dumb... whatever... stay still!"

The outwardly frustrated boy was so far keeping it contained but he was slowly losing the battle. The heat of the tea was not spilling out yet but the teapot itself was warm enough to the touch even through the cloak that it was tough to grab tightly for a prolonged period.  Ben racked his brain for ideas but the spell he learned to untransfigure something would not work through the jacket. If Serena came over he could maybe get it still enough for one of them to cast it. Maybe they could also wrap it up and carry it inside as a pet? A walking teapot trained to pour tea and cuddle seemed... useful. Especially for a Hufflepuff girl if he was following the new stereotypes he had been learning.

That's it! I can gift her a magic teapot to make up for it. I just need to... wrap it up and pull it off the ground? That'll stop it!

"Help me lift it and make a sack out of the cloak?" he shared his idea more calmly despite the teapot bunny struggling beneath him.

Serena's scream was enough to send the teapot running. Her spell hit the ground where it once stood. Her bright eyes quickly followed the bunny teapot, turning on the spot to try and keep track of it. As planned, it went towards the path that her friend stood in, giving him the opportunity to catch it. "Ben!" She called out, breaking into a run towards him. She flung herself to the ground besides him and reached out to help him keep hold of the creature... object...? Although it was not over, she was relieved that they were closer to catching it now than they had been this whole time. Ben maintained a firm grip on it, despite the fact it was squirming, "Good work, Ben," She said with a smile on her face, despite the pain in her body. She was relieved this was starting to go to plan, at the very least. There was a more pressing concern in the back of her mind right now - that fire - which needed to be controlled and stopped, as soon as possible.

The Hufflepuff wrapped her arms around the teapot to prevent it from squirming. She was careful not to turn it, as both of them would end up getting burnt this time. She didn't hold it too tightly however. After all, a part of her still thought of the teapot as more of a bunny. And there was no way she wanted to hurt the poor fellow. Serena proceeded to make some coo-ing sounds, softly as you might for a crying baby. "Shhh, it's okay," She continued, wondering if it understood them. She knew it could hear them - that much was clear. Perhaps it understood them too... Who knew. "I'm sorry but can you please calm down?" She asked the teapot in a gentle voice. She did not expect it to work, in all honesty. However, she was hoping the soothing tone of her voice would help, "We're trying to help you..." Well at least she was... Ben was busy calling the teapot names!

Nodding as she listened to her friend, Serena changed position to sit up a little, so she was able to stand up more easily, "On the count of three?" She asked him, deciding that doing it quickly was better for the bunny teapot as it would prevent the creature from getting hurt. It also reduced the chances of it escaping whilst they moved. She waited for Ben's signal, allowing him to count down before following his instructions.

It was funny how this creature had caused them both so much pain. In Serena's case more physical than the mental stress. However, they both reacted so differently to the creature. She was not annoyed at the teapot. This wasn't exactly his fault. Then again, she was not really annoyed at anyone. If she was better at magic, she could have transfigured it back to normal as soon as she spot it but alas, she was still very much learning.

The teapot seemed to be squirming less as Serena tried to comfort it. She was certainly much more caring than Ben was. To him this wasn't a creature, just a spell gone wrong. He didn't understand magic but he was certain their spell would return it to teapot status. The Ravenclaw blushed a bit when Serena got super close to him though. It wasn't that he liked her but he was awkward around girls that were not Bloom. She was the only one he got that close to without issue, somehow. Serena though was going to be a good friend in time. Ben had a good feeling about that much.

Serena seemed ready to count down and blast it back to its original state. It was a good idea to not try to smuggle the wiggling half-creature into the school. Hot tea with legs was just a horrible thing to try to keep around in any case. Ben had no issues ending its weird existence and returning it to the object it came from. The Hufflepuff Prefect would hopefully not turn him in for being so careless either.

"Okay..," he said nervously, eyeing the captured ball of cloth closely. "One.. Two.... Three!"

Ben pulled apart the cloak to reveal the teapot inside with one hand while the other had his wand ready to go. The Transfiguration spell would hopefully turn it back to normal quickly with the two of them trying it. A Ravenclaw had to take pride in their knowledge, so he had to get it right this time. His eyes never left the target while he shouted out the spell nearly instantly after saying three.

"Reparifarge!" Ben stated firmly, yellow sparks erupting downwards to the teapot.

A glance up to Serena finally showed a smile as the boy was relieved. The hard part was over. She helped him secure the mistake he made, and hopefully she would not punish him for it. Next he just had to take it back to the Library without someone thinking he stole their teapot. Hopefully the librarian had not noticed it missing yet. Plus his book he borrowed on Transfiguration would need put away. Ben hated to leave the library a mess.

"Want to come put this back with me? I know you love the Library." He said with an evil grin to his best friend.

Serena inhaled deeply, bracing herself as the Ravenclaw Prefect prepared him to hit the teapot bunny. On the count of three, he pulled it open and instantly fired the untransfiguration spell at it. The bunny suddenly lost its legs, tail and ears. It started to transform in front of their eyes, quickly turning back into the Teapot that it always was. A sigh of relief escaped her. At least one part of this was over. When that matter ended, Serena quickly looked over to the bushes that previously had flickers of fire. Ben had put it out with sand but they thought it had started again. Looking at it, she noticed that the fire had completely died down now much to her relief.

She collapsed on the floor, falling back onto her back as she released the robes in her hand, "Oh geesh, that was exhausting," She mumbled a little breathlessly, her tone of voice laced with the relief she was feeling. There were a lot of things she expected to happen in a day. This was certainly not one of them. They had not even been at Hogwarts for very long but the year was off to a great start. Serena glanced at the teapot, "Where did you even get this from?!" She asked him, laughing softly. How the boy managed to turn a teapot into a bunny rabbit was beyond her - well... half managed. If he had succeeded fully, perhaps no one would ever have noticed.

The girl looked up as she heard Ben's voice. He mentioned the Library, which she assumed it was where it was from. She laughed a little more, shaking her head at her own foolishness. The boy had claimed it was his rabbit that needed saving when this whole thing started. And foolishly - or perhaps loyally, like a good Hufflepuff - Serena believed his words until she had hot tea spilt all over her. Speaking of which, it still stung a little but at this moment in time, she was just so happy that everything worked out. The teapot was restored to its original form and the school was not set on fire in their adventure. Rolling her eyes playfully at Ben's evil grin, "Uh huh, oh yeah, so much. You know me so well, I should be a Ravenclaw," Serena replied sarcastically. They both knew how much she hated the library or studying. In fact, did she even know where the library was? That was a good question... "Sure, let's go. You'll have to lead the way though because... I have no idea where it even is," She replied to her friend with a shake of her head and a shrug. With that, Serena turned on her heels and walked up to the cloak she had left on the ground. Picking it up and clearing up a little of the mess they had made, Serena walked back towards the school. At the very least, she knew that the library was inside the castle.

For some reason, there was no way she could be angry at him. The two got along so well. He was too adorable to be mad at. Despite all of her injuries and the pain it had caused her trying to get this "bunny" back into its cage, Serena could not muster any amount of angry or resentment for the boy. He was definitely someone she considered a close friend. In the short space of time that they had met and known each other, they had become so close. Perhaps even the bestest of friends. Not even for a second did it occur to her that she ought to report this. There was absolutely no way that she was going to let Ben get in trouble, especially not for something he clearly considered a mistake. It was something they rectified anyway - so what even was the point anymore?
