I've never read any of the Percy Jackson series, I had never heard of them until recently, they aren't really a big thing here

Amazing books about mythology. Takes place (partially) at Camp Half Blood, a summer camp for the children of Greek gods.
Honestly, why do people judge? People need to learn to accept. To look past race, gender, age, sexuality, and appearances. To be open-minded. To give people a chance. To rid their hearts of hate and learn to love others for who they are. That is my wish.

And if you finish that series and liked it, the author, Rick Riordan, wrote a lot more series. Some with the same characters. For example, PJO (Percy Jackson and the Olympians, or just Percy Jackson) and HoO (Heroes of Olympus) have some of the same characters.
Some series use other mythology, like Kane Chronicles is Egyptian and Magnus Chase is Norse. Most are Greek though.
