Hog's Debate Club
Taisia entered the classroom about 45 minutes before the debate was set to begin. She wanted to be ready for it. Recently, she started Hog's Debate Club, a debating club (duh). She was excited for their first debate! The topic was 'Hogwarts is only for Purebloods . It had been fun to try and think of a topic but she had chosen to do that one. She had picked the teams randomly, but it would be fun to see the reasons different blood types gave. She began to set up the tables. One table was placed in the middle, where she would sit. On her left were three adjoining tables for the affirmative team, and the same for the negative team on her right. The desks were on a slight angle, maybe 30 degrees. She wasn't sure if there would be any spectators, so she set out a row of chairs just in case- she wouldn't turn anyone away.
Soon, the debaters began to arrive. One by one, they introduced themselves and sat in their respective places. Taisia noticed each had a piece of paper and a quill, some with a pit of ink- something she'd need to bring for their next meeting. Of course, the parchment already had words on it- that was their argument, but the rest was for their rebuttal. Once all six of them arrived Taisia felt like she had to make some sort of speech.
"Welcome to Hog's Debate Club, Round One! Today we are debating that Hogwarts is only for Purebloods. On my left is the Affirmative team, Sirin, Skraele and Gwen. On my right is the
Negative team, Irina, Lily and Abby. So, without further ado, let's begin the debate! The floor is yours!
She took a seat at her little table and got ready to write as they spoke.

She'd prepared carefully every detail, and though she didn't necessarily agree with the claim she had no choice but to argue that way. She was well prepared, having read the history of Hogwarts five times already. She had no doubt her team would be proud of her.Hogwarts is a prestigious school made for witches and wizards who show some extent of magical talent. However, it must be acknowledged that it also exists in a world of magic, the wizarding world. Because of that very reason, Hogwarts should be for students of only pure-blooded descent. Why is that? For many reasons. First off, exposing the magical world to outsiders such as muggles or even half-bloods for that matter exposes the outside world to the myriad of secrets lurking behind every wall. Especially regarding muggle students: bringing their newly found magical knowledge back to their relatives or family back in the muggle universe is highly risky and puts the wizarding world's secrets at risk.

You might say that since someone's a wizard or witch, they're automatically accepted into Hogwarts. How they're already taking a big step into the wizarding world by even getting their acception letter, and there's no going back. Well, have you ever thought about that step being unneccecary? If we don't give them a hint like 'Hey, you're a wizard! Go to wizard school!", then they never know they're magical! They don't have to live their life with the burden of the wizarding world, and they don't have to endanger our world and theirs.
I'd also like to present another point to you: hogwarts should onlt be for pure-bloods because they have a better understanding of our traditions and customs. A muggle child or even a halfblood raisen in the muggle world would have less of an idea of what happens at hogwarts, how to treat wizards, and how to use their own power. Of course, a more adaptable person could get used to it after a while, but do prefects and professors really like having to show a full new year of clueless eleven year olds every year?
