The skeleton of a boy walked briskly and quickly to the study room for a bit of peace, a bit of quiet. No one seemed to notice when he walzted into the room, that was a good thing for the boy. His long black hair hung like a curtain over his bony pale face as he made his way to the corner of the study room as quiet as a mouse. He cursed the chair as it made a unsatisfying screech against the floor, he carefully sat as to not dragon attention to himself, his coal black eyes flashing here and there. He set down the large pile of books he had been carrying, he opened his journal to the first page which read, "Property of Thymus Quercus Timerey." He skipped the page. He opened and settled his thin gold rimmed glasses on his nose creating a quiet click that echoed through the room. Thymus carefully and meticulously set down and opened the book so they covered the table. He scanned the books pages his eyes focused as they flashed back and forth. He wrote in ink, black ink, scribbling away at the pages. But quickly the pen came to a stop, Thymus tried draw a scribble in order to unblock the pen, when that didn't work he tried shaking the pen, 1, 2, and SPLAT! The ink splashed everywhere, a over his notes, the table, on his clothes and him. He tried to wipe it off but only made the situation worse, he cleaned up making it all look like it did before except for the pages notes covered in ink and his clothes stained black and the ink smudged on his face. He sighed upset, he ran his hand quickly through his hair, and sat for a second as it fell back onto his face. He would have to start all over, there was no denying. He leaned forward setting his chin on his hand covering his mouth bouncing his leg in annoyance. He had been working on that for 5 weeks straight, he lost sleep over these notes, his mind was a mess but he kept his face straight.
"No use crying about it," he stated, grabbing a new journal to start over from scratch.

I was walking to the study room by myself to do some of my school work. When I came to Hogwarts, I didn't think that the lessons here would be so difficult, especially potions and charms. Like for charms you've got to move your hands in a certain way, and by the end of the lesson, my wrists always hurt and I can barely move them. Then in potions, don't even get me started. It's either really hard or I'm just really bad, I think it might be the second reason, but that's not the point.

When I get to the library, it's pretty packed, and I can't find a place to sit. I walk around for a while, grasping the strap on my satchel to calm my nerves, since walking around the study room by yourself is kind of embarrassing. Eventually I see a free table, although it has a black haired, bony looking boy sitting there, with his back facing me. I take one more quick glance around the room, just to see if there's anywhere else to sit, so I don't have to interrupt someone from their studying and then talk to them. When I see no other spaces left, I take a deep breath and walk up to the table where the boy is sitting. I stand behind the chair opposite to him, then see a bunch of pen ink everywhere, without thinking, I say "Wow, what happened?" The black ink is over all over his book, the table, his clothes and his face. From the green color on his robes, I know that he is Slytherin, and instantly regret what I just said before. Apparently the snake house have a reputation of being cruel and cold-hearted, I just hope he isn't like that. I'm pretty sure I've seen the boy around before though, I might of seen him in my Herbology or Transfigurations class. He's pretty smart from what I know, and he seems really mysterious to me, and I'm pretty sure I was going to go up to him once, but I backed out.

Thymus began to attempt to try and clean up his mess,
"Wow, what happened?"
Thymus was jolted out of his thoughts, he looked up to see a blonde girl, by her red tie that hung around her neck, he knew she was a Gryffindor. He looked at the black mess around him that stung his nostrils with a pungent smell, he quite liked the smell though... He sighed, now he had to explain himself... He held up his black ink pen to show her.
"This happened, it was clogged, so I tried to shake, SPLAT! It went all over the place."
He made weird hand gestures as he explained what happened.
"It ruined all my notes, now I have to start all over fron page 1! Got a lot of work ahead of me..."
He looked back up at the girl, observing her up and down, he saw her before probably around class or somewhat... Long, dirty blonde hair, Crystal blue eyes...
"Thymus Genus Syringa Quercus Timerey," he said sticking out his hand not realizing that black ink that covered it. He smiled a friendly smile revealing his silver brackets.

The Slytherin, who I now know, name is Thymus something something something. It's a very long name, and I don't remember a lot of stuff. He sticks his hand out for me to shake, and smiles, showing off his silver braces. Instinctively, I shake Thymus' hand, and since he introduced himself with his full name, I might as well do it too. "Nice to meet you, Thymus. I'm Emma Addison Lew," I also flash a smile.

When I let go of his hand, I felt something wet on it. I think it is just sweat, so I wipe it on my robes carelessly. That's until the color black catches my eye on my hand. I look at it, and see that my palm is covered in black, that is probably from his exploded pen. I scrunch up my nose, knowing that I just rubbed that on my robe, at least it'll blend in, I think. I don't know if Thymus had seen my hand yet, so I just put it behind my back. "Um, do you mind if I sit here? I ask, "There's no where else to sit. But if you don't want me to that's fine." I place my satchel on the edge of the table, getting ready to pick it up and go in case he says no.

She rubbed her hand on her robes, looked at her hand before putting her hand behind her back, odd.
"Nice to meet you Miss Lew," he said politely.
"Um, do you mind if I sit here?" Emma asked,"There's no where else to sit. But if you don't want me to that's fine..."
She placed her satchel at the end of the table, Thymus adjusted his thin, gold rimmed glasses that sat perched on his nose. To be honest, Thymus was hoping to enjoy a quiet time studying, but once again Alice found her way into his mind. Treat Miss Lew as you would your little cousin Alice. You're always saying "I want to be a good person" so do it! Through his thinking there was an awkward silence that hung low in the air around them, dropping of books, crisp paper turning, and scribbling is all that could ber heard of course with occasional chatter. Thymus looked up at her.
"Of course! It's perfectly fine with me, go ahead," he smiled friendly.
