I hope this letter finds you well and that your trip back to Koldovstoretz from London was uneventful. Our ship made it back to the Massachusetts shoreline in mere hours. That still amazes me. Magic is a lot to take in sometimes and at other times I guess I am just happy to live with the sheer convenience it offers.

Thank you for agreeing to correspond with me. It seemed like there was just never time to speak to you outside of whatever camp event was taking place over the summer. Also, I hope you will forgive the scattershot approach this letter is taking. I confess to never having written to a girl before, so I truly have no idea what the heck I am doing.

I do have a purpose though. A couple actually. You intrigued me quite a bit during our Truth or Dare game and I would like to be able to get to know you better. I assume we will be bumping into each other when the schools come together at Hogwarts for the Hexwizard Tournament and I hoped our correspondence could be our first step in learning a little about each other, giving us a headstart when we meet again in person.

The second reason, and one I forgot about until I got back to the States and was reminded of it, is the Fall Ball. I imagine the chances that you do not already have a date for the Ball are slim to none, but if you do not have plans to attend with someone else, I would be honored to be your escort if you will have me? If that will not be possible, I hope that you might save at least one dance for me?

P.S. My palms are damp and my heart is really racing. This letter writing endeavor really made me nervous!
