Darius was walking back and forth around the grounds, waiting patiently for his housemate. He looked pretty nervous: he was torturing his own slender fingers, trying to heat them up a little; his eyes were fast and restless, looking for something alive; he had goosebumps and his heart was pounding faster than usual, maybe because he knew, deep inside, that appointment wouldn't have ended up well.
The boy bowed his head, starting to think. He still had time to leave and cancel the appointment, but then he shook his head. It wouldn't be very polite, he thought.
Darius bit his lower lip in anxiety, he didn't know what to expect from that experience. Maybe he was too anxious, maybe it would have ended up well, who knows.

He looked down at his skinny, pale and freckly arms, covered by those magical silk bandages and sighed. He never really cared about his physical appearance, nor he did that time (maybe), he just thought how useless those arms were.
In the muggle world, you can't use magic to defend yourself. At least, you can't if you're a minor. So he was pretty harmless and defenceless. He knew he was vulnerable and he didn't like that at all.
So he asked for help to one of the strongest kid in the Gryffindor House. Tall, fit and always up for a fight: Siege.

Darius was actually pretty embarrassed by doing that request, he didn't want to look creepy or weird or something, he just thought he could have been the best person to ask for help. He didn't expect for him to accept, but he was glad. He sighed again, looking around. The grounds were too cold for him, he was shivering inside his Gryffindor cloak.
But was that really a good idea? Darius, secretly, found Siege a little intimidating. He was way taller and stronger than him, he actually thought about the idea of getting hurt for real. Well, that wouldn't be Siege's fault for sure.

Darius sighed for the last time, getting rid of the negative thoughts and kept waiting for Siege to come.
However, he didn't have to wait very much.
There he was.

Siege was pretty surprised to be asked a request like Darius was asking. It wasn't a big request to siege, he wasn't a muscle head of course, but he did know how to fight. He learned how to fight at a very young age, growing up in Glasgow. Siege grew up in a pretty safe household, but school-life was brutal for him. He had to learn how to fight for himself, and by himself, eventually just developing muscle memory during fights, where to hit, where to move, it didn't really require a working brain at this point.

Arriving closer to the agreed spot, Siege saw Darius pacing a bit, and looking a tad nervous.

Why wouldn't he be? He's a small and skinny boy, whereas I'm...Well I'm kinda skinny too, but I'm a bit more built...Ah, forget about it, right now I'm just helping him I guess...

Siege would arrive some meters away from Darius before coming to a halt, then pulling out a bottle of water and tossed to Darius. "You good there? Sure we're alone here? Can't have me getting suspended or getting expelled for Bullying." Said Siege jokingly. "So...What do  you know about fighting?" Asked Siege, he didn't really know where to start, he just learned fighting through personal experience.

Will he be tough enough to handle it? As long as his will is tough enough he can definitely learn...Though how strong is his will to learn?

As the kid heard footsteps coming towards him, a cold shiver ran across his bony spine. It was him, so he really came! Darius turned around to greet him with a shy smile and a wave but then...
He saw him clearer, now that he was so close to him. The boy swallowed hard, noticing the 30 centimetres that separated them. He looked like a baby compared to him. He was skinny too but... His body was different. He could see it through the clothes: Siege's body was used to fights, it had developed muscles and was more mature than his, which still looked pretty childish.
It was small and narrow, skinny and long-limbed, with a pronounced belly and a delicate backbone, just like children. Darius felt self-conscious sometimes, he wanted to be strong and fit like real men, or maybe like Siege. Feeling inferior didn't bring anything good, so he decided to stop noticing those differences in their bodies. He wouldn't have been afraid of him.
His determination surely wasn't missing, so he didn't care about consequences. It would have been just a training... Right?

"Don't worry! I won't tell anybody and... Thank you so much for coming, Siege!" He said, smiling at him.
"And- Woah!" He exclaimed, trying to grab the bottle without making it fall. It was funny watching as he wiggled to pick up the bottle.
Then he kept silent for some seconds, he didn't know what to say. He actually didn't know anything about fighting. Fortunately, he never had to physically fight in his short life. The only fight he knew was the play fights he used to do with his older brother when they were younger.
"Uhm... Does pillow fight counts?" He asked, scratching the back of his head.

"If you can dream it, you can do it!"

"Uhm... Does pillow fight counts?" Said the boy, a bit hopeful and determined.

"Hmn...You wanna know how I learned how to fight?" Asked Siege in a serious voice. "I got beat up, and I came back and beat them back. Are you ready to feel pain? Can you handle your first punch? Can you handle getting knocked out?" Asked Siege to the boy.

He knew it was pointless asking these questions from someone who's never been in a fight, but right now, he's not asking for experience, he's asking for determination.

If he doesn't back down here, I'll probably fight him...Just to give him a taste of the air...Other than that That'd be our first lesson probably...The question is...Should I go easy? Or full throttle(No pun intended)...Well it really depends on his answer...Since I asked those questions, might as well put them to use...If he says yes, we'll fight, and I'll give him each of those things I asked.

Siege calmly stood there, eyeing the boy's eyes, intimidating him, to ensure that the boy really did have guts. "A man who doesn't have the guts to learn, will never learn" His step-father would sometimes say to him. Now it was time for the young boy's answer.

Will he run? Or will he stay and fight?

The boy carefully listened to his words, noticing how his pitch quickly became serious. He stared deeply into his eyes, almost feeling the pain he felt in those fights. He could see all the maturity and the experience Siege had in his face, which was a bit too much for an eleven years old kid. He felt a little bad for him, it looked like Siege passed through a lot in his childhood. But it also looked like those fights hardened him and his skin, making him stronger.
When Darius stared into his eyes, he could almost see a grown man, a soldier who wasn't afraid to die. Okay, maybe that was too much, but Darius found that really cool.

Darius had always been a naive and silly child, who often acted before thinking and he always got in trouble for that. But, unfortunately, he never learned from those mistakes.
Deep inside him, something told him to refuse, to leave, to deny the offer. But the other part of him, the Gryffindor part, the determined part of him, was telling him to go on, to try and fight for what he desired. He really wanted to get stronger? He had to feel pain. The same point went for magic studies and everything he desired in his life: he had to struggle and even suffer to obtain what he truly wanted.
On the other hand, Darius didn't really understand what he got himself into.

After several seconds, he lifted his head, smiling proudly.
"If I don't do this, I will never be ready. So yeah! I'm ready! Teach me how to fight, please!" He exclaimed, excited.

START OF COMBAT:

Siege's Action:
Siege smiled at the boy's enthusiasm, although it was time to begin. Siege quickly jumped forward, and glocked the boy in the cheek. It was a pretty hard hit, seeing that Siege didn't wanna hold back, what-so-ever. The strike was hard enough to leave a bruise, although Siege was relieved that his flames didn't appear, if they did, it would definitely be a problem.

"Expect the unexpected, don't just settle for what's in front of you." It was as simple as he can explain, he always tried to look for the other guy's fidgeting, any movements that seem irrelevant, his eyes had been long ways trained to look for things like that, although he didn't need to use it for Darius, after all all he needed was experience.

Darius's Action:
Darius definitely didn't see that coming. He couldn't even see that punch and it was already on his puffy cheek. He could feel Siege's knuckles hitting his flesh, breaking the capillary and painfully moving a bit his jaw. Since his body was so weak and light, that punch was enough to make him fall on the ground. His mind went blank for a moment, almost thinking he was dead. Then he realized and started feeling the pain, which was so strong and hard it was almost made him cry or yell. But he held back his tears, sniffling a little.
"I-I'm... I'm okay..." He whispered, rubbing his cheek with his hand while he slowly stood up.
Siege could see tears in his eyes, but his determination was still there.
"My turn...?" He asked.

Siege's Action:
"Sorry, but there's no turns here..." Said Siege, moving on to punch Darius in the diaphragm, knocking the wind out of the boy. Siege has done this numerous times, and has been done to him as well. For the longest time he remembered his receiving the first flying fist towards him, was to his diaphragm. He knew the feeling all too well, and knew that the boy must be feeling like he was dying.

"In a fight, there's no turns like dueling, you need to fight for survival, and in survival, there's no turns." Said Siege, hoping that the boy would take away from this. He wanted the boy to understand that the world isn't fair, and only in a ring or actual sports things can get balanced out. He knew that wasn't the case for the streets, another lesson that Siege wanted to engrave in Darius' mind.

Darius Action:
Darius was moved back by that strong punch, which crushed his upper abdomen and preventing him to breathe, leaving him out of breath for some seconds. His eyes opened wide and he let out a squeak of pure pain. He stayed still for a moment, then curled up on his knees, unable to move. He coughed several times, bringing his hands to his painful belly to protect it. The pain was incredible, that was also one of his weak point. The boy was shaking very hard from pain and fear and even let out some tears, but he didn't want to stop. He had to move, he had to do something, or Siege would have attacked him again.
"I-I know...!" He exclaimed, not willing to give up.
Darius weakly stood up and ran to him without knowing what to do. He just tried to punch him at his cheek as well, but he was so weak that hit was almost useless.

Siege Action:
"I think we'd have enough today...but first lemme give you one more experience, before we're finished..." Said Siege, then reached back and punched upwards Darius' jaw, a spot known as "The Button".  If added enough force, the shock travels up from the jaw, and sends a shock to the brain, effectively rendering the opponent unconscious.

Darius Action:
Darius couldn't handle the situation, he knew that from the beginning. He was too slow, too green, too weak for him. He didn't even have the time to see that punch coming towards his chin and hitting him right in his jaw. Fortunately, he couldn't have the time to feel the pain. His sight became black and, in a few seconds, he was already fainted. The boy fell down on the hard and cold ground like a sack of potatoes, looking terrible. With just a few punches, he was already K.O.
His body stayed helpless and powerless, layed on the floor, fainted.
At least he wouldn't have felt the pain anymore for a while.
