Mia A. & Aurelia B.

It hurt. All over. The sweat was dripping from her pores when she woke up, and her body was aching. Not the familiar ache of a good workout, or after eating too much food in the Great Hall, no. It was the ache of pain. The ache that something was wrong.

Ouch

She looked around the room. It was startlingly bright, and in the beds were patients-many of them she didn't recognize. They all seemed damaged in some way, like they were recovering from something. Some where laying down, others on crutches, and others drinking vile potions with their noses plugged.

And suddenly she knew where she was. It was The Hospital Wing. In the dreaded, son of a gun, merlin's gobbling gobsones, Hospital Wing.

Of course. This had to happen when she was planning a freaking ball did it? She had her tailor picked out, her date-which was pretty hard to find. She even had the refreshments picked out! And Eris was counting on her-maybe, the girl could do it herself, but Mia was pretty good at organizing the party-and everything was perfect!

Sighing, Mia looked down at her stinging calf and winced, furrowing her pale forehead. It was covered in magic bandages ('magi-bans', all the healing without the difficulty) and was held up by some charm. Whatever charm it was-or invisible stool-it seemed to be doing its job.

Thinking back to Grandmother's textbooks, Mia recalled that it wouldn't-probably-take that long to heal. It seemed that she had been out for only an hour or so-the weather was the same, at least looking out the window it appeared similar. So she would be fine. But she was still furious.

Aurelia had put an unconscious Mia onto one of the many beds in the hospital wing. She got her bruised arms treated with some magical cream before headed down to the great hall for supper. Aurelia would have stayed but she didn't think it would be any use just sitting and waiting for sleeping beauty to wake up. Her grumbling stomach had urged her to eat something before all the good stuff were gone so she did.

After about almost an hour talking to her friends and filling her belly with food, she returned to the third floor. There, three beds away was girl with auburn hair staring out of the window. She sat by the bedside. Mia's legs were covered in bandages. They were probably magical and had healing properties to help her nasty burns.

Aurelia still didn't know why Mia stayed still when the fire was consuming her. Most people would have panicked and run or roll for their lives. Mia however, did not do such things and therefore almost her entire body was burnt. Rosie and her helped put out the fire and eventually after a handful of minutes, succeeded. Howie wanted to bring Mia to he hospital wing instead but Aurelia decided to take over. Mia's reaction towards non-pureblood was quite unpredictable.

"Finally, sleeping beauty woke up. You've been out for almost an hour." The brunette commented.

"Its good to see you.. not dead." Aurelia said.

Finally, sleeping beauty woke up. You've been out for almost an hour. It's good to see you.. not dead.
Whipping her head towards the sound, Mia saw a tall, rather strong, girl of twelve looking back at her. She promptly scowled and sat up, rubbing her arms which were apparently covered in thick white cream. Come to think of it, most of her body was covered in the odious stuff. Except for her legs of course.

And it was all this girl's fault.

No thanks to you.

Mia winced and sat up taller, and tried to jerk her leg down. She was rewarded with a flash of pain and tremor running up her leg. She decided that it was not wise to try to pull at her leg again.

When am I going to be out?

Peering up at the girl, she tried not to look helpless. She really-really wanted to remain cool, calm, and collected at all times but this girl was pissing her off big time. All she wanted to do was explode, then get better, and this kick this girls a**.

But all she could do was lay there, burned like a fricking Hufflepuff, and try not to let big, fat, juicy tears slide down her face and onto her bright white shirt.

No thanks to you.
Aurelia pressed her lips slightly together, thinning her lips slightly, almost unnoticeably. Mia was putting the blame on her and Aurelia didn't think it was her fault at all. The girl had only built a small campfire so the group would have a little bit of warmth from the chilly breeze and somehow Mia tripped and manage to end up right on the campfire itself.

Mia tried to get up. She wasn't using her unburnt head. Why was she so stubborn? It was quite obvious that she had to stay bedridden until she had been fully healed.

"Hold on, you are not going any where. If you hadn't fell onto the fire in the first place this would have happened." Aurelia said folding her arms tightly across her chest.

"You can't put the blame on anybody, not even those muggleborns no matter how upset you are. After all, we had helped you put out the fire."Aurelia said. She wasn't very good at lecturing people, but it didn't hurt to try.

When am I going to be out?Mia asked.
"Till you've recovered." She said sternly. Mia was being like a cranky baby. Honestly, she would know the answer to her own question.

Hold on, you are not going any where. If you hadn't fell onto the fire in the first place this would have happened.
The girl folded her arms across her chest and Mia sighed, annoyed. Here she was, acting like a stubborn mule, and the girl wasn't helping at all. Plus, she hadn't fallen into the fire. Her robes were long and somehow a spark landed on them. The girl had to get her facts straight.
You can't put the blame on anybody, not even those muggleborns no matter how upset you are. After all, we had helped you put out the fire.
That was true. Grudgingly, she let a small murmur escape her lips. They had tried to help her, but look where that had got her. Her arms covered with bruises and cream from the idiot leaping on top of her and whacking her with her robes.

When am I going to be out?

Peering up at the girl, she tried not to look helpless. She really-really wanted to remain cool, calm, and collected at all times but this girl was pissing her off big time. All she wanted to do was explode, then get better, and this kick this girls a**.

Rolling her big blue eyes, Mia looked up at the brunette. No duh. But what was the timeframe? Judging from the cream, it was about 3 more hours, but what did she know? Burns healed at different rates.

Mia was acting like a cranky baby. She was sulking. Aurelia dealt with a few students like her. Sulky, cranky, thinking the whole world belonged to them. They were easy to handke, just ignore their pouting. Though, sometimes, Aurelia let them get to her and she would become upset to, but that was on rare occasions when she wasntnin a good mood either, she hoped this was not one of the instances.

Mia had rolled her eyes at her. Aurelia pursed her lips slightly disturved. It was hard to take her attention away from those eyes. They were blue, a tone darker than her own. Aurelia herself was digusted by the color of her own eyes though it was one of her most distinguishing features that she got many compliments on. Whenever she looked into the mirror and her own reflection gkanced at her, a wave of happy and painful memories would come rushing back to the girl. Her eyes were identical to her own brother. Her Raphael was dead.

Aurelia bit the inside of her lower lip. She tried to fix her gaze into something else rather than the girl's eyes. Instead of looking directly into them, she focused on the spot between Mia's eyebrows. It was polite to look someone in the eyes when having a conversation. It was the best Aurelia could do. Blue eyed people were always quite a bugger to have a conversation with.

"Can I ask you a question, Mia... About Charles York?" She asked. It was already a question itself but it was polite for her to do so. She was going to touch on a topic that Mia probably wouldn't be too fond of.

Can I ask you a question, Mia... About Charles York
Mia knew that she knew about the meeting. It was obvious really, the way she tried to avoid eye contact and bit her lower lip hesitantly. Her lips slightly pursed, Aurelia looked at her, not quite meeting her eye.

What did she want to say? She didn't want to fess up to their meeting-but at the same time, what if she was allied to him? She didn't want to say the truth, how she wanted to take him down with the power of the Fanged Post.

She just had to be cautious. Very cautious.

What about him? He got expelled.

Mia shook her head in the slightest, making her hair ripple in a serene way. Her arms were no longer cream covered-it had soaked in-and her leg was starting to hurt less. That was good. At this rate she would be out of the hospital wing in about an hour or so. Better than she predicted.

But what did she know? All the medical information she got was reading her grandmother's books and obsessing over Rachel. She suddenly wished that they had switched places. If she was magical maybe they could cure her easier. It was a shot that she would never have.

more said starting the obvious. Of course she knew. Almost the whole school knew about him and how he attempted to set the whole ballroom on fire. Aurelia had also gained the nickname,"the one who invited Charles York". She had quite a hard time after the incident.

Mia was acting like she didn't know a thing about him. Aurelia was sure she had seen her in the meeting but Mia however, hasn't seen her.

"Everybody knows about him. But you, you were at the meeting. You possibly know more about him." Aurelia stated. It was hard to keep her focus on the bare spot between the girl's eyebrows. Aurelia was used to looking in people's eyes when she was having a conversation with them but she was afraid that those memories that would possibly come back at her if she did now.

Blue eyes. Most kids her age were attend of spiders or the dark, Aurelia however was afraid of blue eyes and chocolate frogs. A very odd combination.
Aurelia now lowered her gaze to the bridge of Mia's nose, it was slightly more noticeable that she wasn't looking at her in the eyes but Aurelia really didn't want those memories to bother her. Not when she was having as serious conversation with someone.

"I know he plans to get rid of muggleborns. How about you?" she asked, her voice lowering to a whisper so the others in the room would not be able to eavesdrop easily.

Mia rolled her eyes and looked to the side, a bit unnerved. The girl was avoiding her gaze, yet again, and acting all panicky. It sucked.

Lowering her gaze to meet the girl's, Mia made sure that her eyes were in contact with the others. She wanted to freak the girl out, and this was a way to do it.

That meeting. It meant nothing. Nothing at all. He planned to ruin the name of pureblooded individuals by persecuting mud-bloods. I had to be there for that, lest his plan actually worked. We're lucky he got expelled so quickly, otherwise I would have had to do a lot of damage control.

Moving her shoulder's slightly, Mia sat up and caught the girl's eye.

But you. What is your 'deal'? How do you know about the meeting? You're a Bezuidenhout-a strong family. Are you allied to him?

Mia held her gaze and tried to pierce the girl with it. She was aware that she had blue eyes that could come across as icy, and made use of them, challenging people with a glance- something Grandmother taught her. Though a weird skill, it was useful, and she often gauged people with that look, and how they responded. It didn't do for making friends, she could admit that, but enemies were essential as well. It just took a powerful wizard to admit that.

Mia shifted, probably because the coys in the room weren't as comfortable as beds. As she did, her gaze met hers. Ignore it. Aurelia told herself. Aurelia didn't believe anything the girl said about Charles. She heard everything and her ears had convinced her that what she was saying now we're lies. She wouldn't question her about it at least not at the moment.

Ten the girl asked about the family name. BezuidenhoutThellea. What Mia didn't know was that she also carried her mother's last name Schütte. If she thought Bezuidenhouts were powerful, then her jaw would drop if she heard about Schütte. The Schütte had their own company, a huge one in fact, with various different businesses and branches. If they were to somehow put a halt to it's trade, it might cause a small economical depression throughout industries world wide. Aurelia decided to keep the information to herself for now.

Those blue eyes looked like Raphael's. Almost every shade of blue eyes looked like his and reminded the twelve year old about him. Her brother. Her dead brother whom she wouldn't see and create memories with ever again.

~

Aurelia pushed the white door open. The young girl ahdnt bothered to knock. Raphael was used to her visits. He sat on his study chair, writing furiously. 6 year old Aurelia always referred this to be important work and only knew it as homework when she had gotten older.
"Raphael,"
"Auri, I'm studying."
Studying wasn't a work the young girl was familiar with. She blinked fazed at his words.
"I'm doing important work. Why are you here?" The boy corrected himself.
"What are Muggles?"
"Muggles are people without magic."
"Am I a muggle? I don't have magic."
"When you get older, Auri."
"Are Muggles bad?"
"Some are. Some magical people are too."
"I hate Muggles. The girls in my class bully me."
"You have to deal with people you don't like Auri. Muggles are benefic- are good for Ma's company. We can't hate them."
Aurelia nodded. Raphael always knew the answers to her many questions. The girl left the room for her brother to study in peace.
~

The brunette looked around. She was no longer in her brother's room but back in the hospital wing. It was another flashback, another stupid memory. Aurelia blinked back the tears that threatened to roll down her cheeks, thankfully they didn't and the brunette managed to calm herself down and return to her collected state.

"No I have nothing against Muggles or Muggles born. They are beneficial to my family's company. Aurelia said straighening her back so she sat upright.
