THE entirety of the past month, Everly had, for lack of a better word, been preoccupied. A duel, Valentine's Day, and many, many new friends later, did Everly finally decide to Do Something. Her last encounter with one Cassandra Ironwoods had been over a month ago, when she'd swore to herself that one day she'd be able to win the Slytherin over—they'd clearly stated their dislike for the second-year before (many times, in fact), so obviously, Everly had to prove them wrong. She hadn't done much proving them wrong since that had occurred, though, besides a little bit of watching/tailing here and there (of which she told herself was simply information gathering, and not stalking), which was rather disappointing to her (and to them, she was sure). Which meant it was about time that she did.

Everly had come up with an elaborate, fool-proof plan. What was the best way to enamor someone? Send them stuff! It works with Muggles, she knew, people sending each other flowers or little gifts, so it had to work with Cash, right? So, a few days ago, she'd snuck into Hogsmeade using that little fake permission slip—honestly, it was a little too easy by this point—and bought some chocolates from Honeydukes with a few silver Sickles. She'd thought, long and hard, of how exactly to deliver this perfectly. Simply giving it to them was a little too straightforward—she needed a little less. Asking someone else to give it to them was too unpredictable, what if they never gave it to them? what if they accidentally dropped it or something? what if they decided to eat it?—she needed a little more. And so, she found a happy medium—an owl. It was perfect.

In a few days' time, at Sunday breakfast, when Cash sat down to eat their scrambled eggs, an owl would fly over their head and drop a loosely tied package, with a little slip of paper attached to the string. When they pulled at the knot and unveiled the package, they'd see a variety of chocolates and a single, droopy lavender flower, and if they chose to peel open the ripped piece of parchment, they'd see, written in scrawly, black ink, 'EC' with a little heart. And maybe Cash would take a second to figure out who'd sent the package—they were smart, she knew—and look up, and there Everly would be, giving her a little wave—no, no no no. Cash would look up, and Everly would be laughing at something one of her friends said, without a care in the world. Yes. Yes, that was much more mysterious and cool. That was the plan.

For the most part, the first half of the plan had gone well. Everly had watched the windows like a hawk as she nibbled on some toast, paying no mind to the chatter next to her. Someone had poked her in the side at some point, but she'd just let out some half-minded babble to show she was sort of paying attention before returning her gaze to the sky. And then finally—they came. The spread of wings and sounds of squawks filled the hall as owls flew in, dropping parcels to select students here and there. There it was—she spotted the owl, and the package falling down and landing in front of the Slytherin with a nice thunk! Quickly, she averted her eyes, finally tuning into her friends' conversation. Everything was, thankfully, going well so far. Nothing was amiss.

That was the plan.

When it come down to weekends, Cash always dressed to the nines. For instance today. Today they wore light blue button-up shirts and combined it with black ripped jeans. A pair of light blue high-top sneakers adore on their feet. Perhaps it was the pureblood in them that was talking but Cash always try to dress up nicely.

Once they deemed they were presentable enough, they grabbed the newest reading material from their study desk that their mother had sent to them. To Cash's surprise, their mother did not send them another Health Care System-related book but this time a Potions-related one. Moste Potente Potions that what was written on the cover of the book.

The content of the book itself is a bit more advanced than their knowledge but Cash loves to challenge themselves and broaden their Potions horizon. Ever since Cash got a good mark on their Potions assignment, Cash took interest in the subject. The green eyes than walk towards the end of Slytherin's table to grab some light breakfast while continuing their reading.

Not far from them, Aero slithering about. The great thing about studying at Hogwarts is any odd creatures that if you decided to take interest in pets, people will not bat an eye in your direction. Once Cash was seated on the end of Slytherin's table, Aero climbed up to their thighs and took the liberty to curl up next to Cash to claim the unoccupied space next to the young socialite to take a nap.

Cash was thumbing the page and their eyes landed on a recipe on how to brew a Hate Potion. They marked it on where the last part of the book that they read about. The Beater then grabbed a plate of scrambled eggs with some strips of crunchy and yummy slices of bacon and a glass of orange juice. Once the little breakfast gathered in front of their eyes, Cash picked up their book again.

Their green eyes follow raptly to the words that were printed on the book. Hate Potion. Instructions: Standard Size 3 Cauldron, 11 fl. oz. of Dragon Blood, 5 fl. oz. of Alchohol, 4 fl. oz. of Explosive Fluid, 5 Rat Spleens, 3 tablespoons of Acromantula Venom, 2 measures of Doxy Eggs.

Ingredients:
Part 1
Approximately 3 months prior to brewing, bury Doxy Eggs and allow them to rot

Part 2

Cash was too engrossed in the reading material that they did not hear the soft flapping of owls' wings or the sound of squawks filled the hall for the morning mail above their head until a package fell down and landed in front of the Slytherin with a nice thud! . G9od think that flock of owls had a nice aim since they managed not to scatter Cash's breakfast on the table.

With a knitted eyebrow Cash put their book upside down and picked up the package. Their mother already had sent them some things so does Maritza and some of the Ironwoods' Manor helpers also had sent the care package from back home. The fourth year was curious about the new package that they just received.

Without care, if the sender had to spend some time to wrap it up nicely, Cash pulled the loose tie and ripped it in seconds. Once they open the package, a variety of chocolates grace their eyes, and a single lavender flower came along with the chocolate. There not many people know the Cuban descent are fond of light purple flowers which make Cash more curious about who was the sender of the package.

At first, Cash did not see the little slip of paper attached to the string. And when they did, Cash peeled open the little open ripped piece of parchment. In black ink, there was an 'EC' scrawled on the ripped parchment. The young Ironwoods wondered who this EC person was. They wrecked their brain and the only person that come out with that initial name was Everly Charlton.

Ever since both the Gryffindor and Slytherin's last encounter, Charlton makes it her life mission to win Cash over. Perhaps this is one of her ways. Cash took a deep breath and scanned their eyes to see whether Charlton was in the room or not. It took a bit of time but Cash finally saw her. Charlton was having a nice breakfast with her fellow friends.

The young socialite did not bother to get up or say thank you for their gifts. Instead, Cash pushed the varieties of chocolates to the group of mixed houses that were seated not far from them. One of them asked whether Cash would like one or not but the Quidditch player shake their head no. Within seconds, the varieties of chocolates that Charlton had sent to them had gone from the table.

Cash then slipped the droopy lavender flower on the very end of their book to act as a bookmark without Charlton knowing about it. Once the varieties of chocolates had been eaten by the group next to them, Cash picked up their book to continue their interrupted reading and resumed to eat their breakfast again.
