Dear EmmaLee,
I hope all is well with you! It's been almost a month since camp and I have been adjusting to school. I am so happy that I have been sorted to Ravenclaw. I haven't had the chance to see you. Are you happy with your house? I hope your roommates have been kind to you.
Admittedly, I have had a difficult time getting used to classes. It is different from what I am used to back home. I was hoping to be more organized. Not too long ago, I attended an activity to decorate agendas, but have had terrible discipline keeping up with it. How have classes been going for you?
Would you like to maybe get into the routine of studying together? I think I could be better with it if I had a set time and someone to hold me to it. We could meet at the library once a week. Usually when I try to sit to get work done, it is in my room with my cat Snowball, who always wants to play.
I haven't had the chance to check, but we can also look into joining clubs together in our free time. I think I heard some of my roommates talking about it. I look forward to hearing from you!

Dear Ellie,
I am so glad that you are happy with your house. I am sad that we did end up in different houses, but we can still hang out and write letters and such. I am happy with my house, as well. I do think it suits me and everyone here is so nice and helpful. I was able to get a private dorm room, though, so it is just me and my cat Minx, but all of the other girls are nice still.
Ah, I wanted to do that activity when I heard about it, but I ended up spending all day in the practice room with my cello and completely forgot about it. I might make my own agenda soon though. It would be helpful in keeping track of all the homework, even if it was just a notebook with dates. I am usually more organized but find myself struggling as well. There is so much to keep up with. I am quite enjoying transfiguration honestly, but I find potions a bit boring. How are these classes different than what you are used to?
I think study buddies is a great idea! I have the same problem with Minx, honestly. It seems to be the moment I try to really get anything does, she decides that she's done sleeping. When is best for you?
I think that is a great idea as well. I've seen a couple of clubs around including an exploring, adventure kind of club and I did join the Werewolf club they were talking about during camp. I don't know if you heard but the humans lost that game terribly and we would have lost no matter what. The wolves had a good strategy of just keeping their mouths closed and letting the humans pick each other apart. I was a human and I lasted until the very last round when they voted me out.

I’m so glad you like your house and have kind housemates. It’s great that you got a private dorm room. If I’m being honest, I haven’t done the best job of bonding with my roommates. I actually have been spending most of my time with my cat Snowball. He can be a handful because of how playful he is, but it has been comforting to have him around.
I am happy to help if you need it when you decide to organize your agenda book. I think what I struggle with the most is the added element of having to focus on technique. Schools back home it is mostly learning information or history and then regurgitating it back, but with magic, we have to make sure to do the correct movements on top of knowing the history and memorizing. I am getting in the hang of it though. I just wish I had a better routine for completing my work because I feel behind.
Does Sunday morning work for you? I think it would be a good way for us to get ready for the week.

Dear Ellie,
To be honest, it is nice to have a private room, but it does not lend to a lot of interactions with the other girls in the dorm. I've been spending a lot of time with my cat Minx as well, though I have found that just hanging out around the grounds lends to a lot of social interaction. I've met so many interesting people just by being outside at the same time.
It makes sense the difference in having to focus on the technique versus just memorization. I think I'm doing a little better in that area because I have been practicing cello since I was five years old. A lot of the beginning of it is just focusing on holding and moving the bow properly so I suppose that transitions well to doing the same with wand waving.
I agree that Sunday morning would be a great time. That means we can review anything we're struggling with from the last week before the next week starts. Do you want to meet this Sunday?
As far as the Werewolf club, it is frustrating to lose, but you can't win them all. No matter how frustrated I get with a game, the next one is always completely different so that makes it not matter as much. I hope that we are both wolves in the coming one. Then we can conspire. Haha.

So sorry for how long it has taken me to write back to you. I have been a bit overwhelmed with keeping everything in order. I think it is amazing that you know how to play an instrument. I always found it difficult trying to wrap my head around following notes, when my parents tried to teach me the piano.
I am so glad you’d like to meet up on Sunday mornings. This past Sunday I was actually busy catching up with my brother because we haven’t had the chance to see each other much since classes started. I would love to meet at the library this Sunday, if you are free. I currently need to work on my Astronomy homework, which is the class I was not doing my best in. Is there any class in particular you also need to work on?
I do hope we get to play together in the Werewolf club! I haven’t heard any updates yet of when the games will begin, but then again I have been a bit frazzled. I am hoping to set myself a good schedule and promise to try my best sticking with it this week!

No worries at all. I'm so glad that you got to catch up with your brother. Definitely don't feel bad about anything you need to do with family. Family is everything and the last thing you have when there's nothing left. What year and house is he in? Do you get along well? Do you have other siblings?
I need to work on potions and flying. I'm not particularly interested in either, so it's kind of hard to pay attention in class. I'm doing fairly well in Astronomy though, so I could help you out with that if you need. Otherwise I think it's just nice to have someone else there to keep you on task about things and be companionable. Would you like to meet this Sunday after breakfast?
I haven't heard anything about Werewolf yet either, but there does seem to be a lot of initial interest in it. I have started getting better at sticking to my schedule. It should be easier as the year goes on.
