Maths error. I caught one firstie we both know very well trying to pull that off! You're supposed to start out as a First Year being either 11 or at most 12. Which means their birth year would need to be at least 2010 or 2011, not 2009. Did I miss something?
Or maybe they are still in the stages of trying to work out the details and don't know they need to change their birthdate. I don't think they are in Index yet since their trunk doesn't say 'game master' yet. Now that I think about it, that's probably it. The person I'm referring to is Thymus.

Sounds good! Yeah, I figure if we can help out newbies before staff contact them, it'll help the process go by quicker. That way they won't need to wait for confirmation after they change it and if everything looks good in their ency before they submit for Index, then it'll make staff evaluation a lot easier on them too!
Oh Colin, they also need to put "Patronus" down somewhere in their ency, I remember that's a requirement and they don't have that listed yet.

Your date of birth on your profile needs to match your character's date of birth. In order for your character to be a first year at Hogwarts during the 2021-2022 academic school year, they must be born between September 2009 and August 2010.
So for the new first years that recently joined for the school year of 2022-2023, their birthdays can't fall anywhere within the above mentioned dates. I'm assuming it will need to be September 2010-August 2011.
Oh Colin, they also need to put "Patronus" down somewhere in their ency, I remember that's a requirement and they don't have that listed yet.

I don't have Patronus in my ency since that's like a 5-6th year thing

I didn't either at first but was told by Lear that you have to have the space for Patronus in your ency to get approved by Index. You don't write anything down just say: N/A but the space for Patronus has to be there. So you probably need to have it too Noah.
