Quill Pals: Sirin and Jay
Sirin had just been assigned a new quill pal, a Gryffindor named Jay Divus. Sirin couldn't wait to get to know him better, and decided to start out with a letter.

I haven't known you long, but I intend to get to know you better! I hope that there is a long and wonderful friendship awaiting us in the future. Perhaps we can meet sometime in person, at the library. I look forward to making friends with you, to study, and play on Hogwarts grounds. I am sure that we will get along splendidly. In the mean time, I'd love to get to know you better. Do you have any siblings? Pets? What's your family like? I also happen to have a little gift for you, a gift from a future friend. Hello there Sirin! I was planning on making the first move to these Quill Pals thing, but I guess you got to it first! Meeting in person would be fun! Studying isn't really my thing, but chilling around Hogwarts would be cool.
Well, you bombarded me with questions! No worries, I'll get back at you after answering them. I actually have an older brother, by about 5 years. His name is Jabari, and he's so annoying. But doesn't everyone say that about their sibling(s)? I have no pets as of now, but I'm planning on getting one. After our 9-year-old ferret passed of old age, my parents didn't really want another pet. My family? Quite nice. Surprising, right? A kid without any parent drama. They're super supportive when it comes to Hogwarts, though they don't understand it (I'm a muggle-born, so it was kinda weird, haha).
Now for you! How do you like Ravenclaw? Do you have any siblings? Are you a cat or dog person *Very Important Don't Skip This*? And one more, are you a wizard-born, half-blood, muggle-born (like me!), or a pureblood? Also, thanks for the snacks! Devored them in seconds. I don't have anything to give you, but maybe I will next time. Adios!

Sorry for not replying--school sure is a lot to handle. I'm so glad you answered my questions--I don't know much about hispanic culture but I'm sure you can teach me more! As for me, I am loving Ravenclaw! It's..everything I imagined it to be. It fits me too--unlike some people who feel they belong elsewhere. I'm a cat person, but I have a ferret instead--trying something new. Maybe you can meet Elysia someday!
I don't have any siblings, and I'm happy about that. Oh, and I'm a half-blood, by the way.

Dear Sirin,
Don't worry about it. This should be fun, not a chore! And yeah, school is a lot. My teachers gave me so much today I think I might flop from my tired and bored brain. It's magic, I shouldn't be bored! But I guess adults can make even the most dreamed of things to be boring with homework on it. Though I guess this homework is better than muggle homework, filled with things we would never use in the real world. Like seriously, who is going to do 5x + 3 = 18 in real time?
You're a cat person, huh? So am I! There is a stray cat near my house, and I'm planning on adopting her! She seems on the older side when it comes to feral cats, maybe about three. I was checking out the Pet Store and found a kitten I dubbed 'Menace'. You can guess what she's like. I think I'll adopt her when I can convince my mum.
I would love to meet Elysia! She seems like she has a really fun personality. You'll love ferrets! Mine was a lovebug and cuddled with me a lot. Anyways, I'm writing this while doing homework, so I guess I should get back to it!

With the note, there is a velvet felt pouch which is stringed up with gold string. It seems a bit weathered, but beautiful nonetheless.
