Studying Surprise
Abi smiled a bit, looking at her with interest. "Yeah, that may be true. Those kind of glasses are a bit unique and peculiar."
He watched as she picked at the grass and talk, her words eventually trailing off before she waved her hand in front of her. He frowned a bit with concern, knowing the motion a little too well- but he didn't dare ask. They had just met, after all- it would be rude to try and poke into her life like that. For now at least. He nodded a bit at her words, but said nothing. She eventually changed to the other subject, laughing at her boxer pose. "Yeah, I agree. Problem is a lot of the bullies are girls, and I was taught not to hit girls-" he hesitated, realizing that might come across the wrong way. "Not that you all are weak! Quite the opposite actually- I know a girl can whoop my butt if she wanted to- but I know its a lot easier for a guy to seriously injure a female due to- bodily anatomy-" He buried his face in his hands, feeling like he was overexplaining. He didn't want to come across as someone who thought of girls lesser- that was the last thing he wanted, really.
He looked up when she talked again, offering a bit of a smile. "Sorry, it's a bit of a habit. And yeah, I suppose thats true." He smiled at her laugh, seeing a bit of blush rush up her cheeks. She spoke again, and he quickly put his hands up. "No no, you're fine! It's a bit admirable, honestly. Not everyone has the courage to do that." He grinned a bit, trying to reassure her.
He watched her braid the flowers in front of her as she asked another question. "Hm, I'm not really sure, honestly. Herbology and Charms are quite interesting. What about you?"
