So Elena shuddered to think of what else might set her off? Well that was just fine with her. She didn't need the older girl, or anyone else for that matter, to think she was some warm and overly friendly person like most of the other students that went to this school. Who needed friendship and kindness anyways? To Sienna, it was a burden and an unnecessary one at that. "Good," she snapped at Elena's words. "Like I said earlier, don't bother me and we'll get along perfectly."

The other girl just folded her arms over her chest and shot words right back at her. "Truthfully, no, but I hardly think I need to start a fight right now to get my point across." Sienna had just about her fill of this girl's terrible attitude. "Have you simply set aside this time of the day to make a fool of yourself in a public area? Because you sure are making the most of your time if that's the case."

While she listened to Elena's frightfully irritating words, she couldn't help but wonder how her day would have gone if she had sat somewhere else on the extensive grounds. Certainly she wouldn't be bandying words with the girl right now. Perhaps she could have even had one afternoon that was free of arguments and annoying people such as the one in front of her right now. Of course that couldn't be the case though. Sometimes it seemed like the entire world was turned against her, though that of course was not the case.

"Do I look like an angel to you? It would be far more accurate to say devil." The words left her mouth quickly and easily. "My life is far from perfectly mapped out, but that's what makes it interesting. I think it better to say you are the one with her life all mapped out," she said. "Let's see if this sounds about right, hmm? Quiet, kind, a perfect child altogether really. Pureblood or wizard born, but you never quite fit in with the rest of your family? Misunderstood?" she asked with a tone colder than pure ice. "You are the angel, not me."

Truth be told, Elena had been doing her utmost best not to bother the accursed girl as per her request but for some reason, the concept of forgiveness and mistakes was not one that fell into this girl's palette. The damage had been done however and Elena Jangleton most certainly was not going to back down now, she'd had her expereince with people walking all over her and while it was a nice thought to think Sienna might have been a perfectly approachable and welcome person on any other occassion, it was clear that wasn't the case here, the only question here remaining was that who was going to back down first and it most certainly would not be her as her eyes remained locked on the other's in the definition of a challenge. "If we're going to play the blame game, I think we should start by looking at yourself." The brunette said raising an eyebrow. She'd apologized, even offered to make amends and in return, the girl had just proved to be more aggravating.

Her head jerked upwards as a few of those words bit too deep perhaps and for a moment, silence followed before she spoke. "You don't know a darn thing about my family." She said quietly, her hands tensing with the urge to make a go for her wand and while Sienna had pretty much hit the nail on her head with her assumptions but she wasn't about to give her that satisfaction. "Where I come from, what I am and whatever else is of no concern to you, I'd strongly advise choosing your next words very carefully." It was one thing to bandy words, it was most certainly another to attack those things most dear to her and while there was no love lost between Elena and her family, that was a fact best kept to her and those closest to her, both categories which Sienna did not fall into.

They weren't going to get anywhere, not like this and it would probably be in both of their best interests to come to a stalemate before either of them did something they'd probably regret later down the line. "I apologized, that should be good enough for you and if you take care in fussing over such small things then maybe just stay tucked away in some little corner because I reckon this isn't gonna be the first time." Elena parried back, her mood for sketching out a nice angle of the castle had all but evaporated away replaced by a frustrated motivation to send this girl bouncing back to whatever common room she had come from. She shrugged her shoulderss in response resisting the urge to laugh as the verbal warring continued. "You're the one wasting words on me, I can afford to hear you out because I have nothing more pressing at the moment to attend to, I'll be gone when it suits me but for now, this proving to be quite amusing." The tone left it clear she wasn't going anywhere, not at the present moment at least.

The young Gryffindor had never been one to give in easily and this time would be no different. If Elena wanted to continue bandying words back and forth until the older girl got tired, she was more than welcome to. She would accomplish nothing for herself, and Sienna would get to enjoy watching the older girl make a bigger fool out of herself than she already was, if that was even possible at this point. Smirking as Elena started blaming her again, she listened with a certain attentiveness.

Knowing exactly what she was being blamed for, her smile widened. “You know, I’ve never been big on apologies,” she said tonelessly. As the other girl’s tone changed to quieter and more deadly, Sienna knew she had hit the mark. From all she had observed of other people, they tended to become deadlier when they had been hurt, especially internally. "Spot on then, I take it?" Sienna said, full of malice. "Who you are became my business from the minute you decided to insult me."

When Elena made the snide comment about staying tucked back in a corner, a flash of emotion briefly crossed Sienna's otherwise emotionless face. She had been in the corner most of her life, either being pushed there by others or purposefully choosing to remain out of sight and out of mind. Unbeknownst to the other girl, the words had cut through the layers of ice she had put up around herself as a barrier. "Don't ever say that again."

Almost as soon as the emotions came, they left her face, but not her mind. "I never waste my words. What's 'quite amusing' is how defensive you can get when properly provoked." Just as the older girl had shown she wouldn't be backing down, Sienna was determined to show she would not back down either.

She was going to hurt this girl, that much Elena Jangleton had already established. She didn't think she had met anyone so inconsiderate, so lacking of something in their heart. No, this was even a newer low than even Everly Charlton because at least Everly had something that could be called a heart. She wasn't quite sure the same could be said for this girl as she stared on, her expression a mixture of disbelief and something else as she struggled with either picking a favorite hex or hers to whittle Sienna down a bit or maybe be the bigger person and walk away but the way the Slytherin continued to needle and needle away at her proved to her that maybe that wouldn't quite be the option she was hoping for. You could almost slice the tension swirling around both of them with a sword as she kept her frustration in check but just barely.

Elene merely nodded in response. "No, you certainly are not, that much I've noticed for myself." Elena said agreeing with the other girl on that point at least. The Gryffindor at least had the shame to fester up for what most would call a slip of hand but to Sienna, it was like a calamity had occured upon her and the Gryffindor was having none of it. The more the girl spoke, the more tempting it became to hex her into oblivion, annoyance and hostility practically radiating off her. "I have done nothing of the sort, you forced my hand when you started bawling your eyes out over something so small like a child." Her voice had lost it''s warmth and instead restorted to icy coldness, every syllable that flew at her were like sharp needles pricking away inch by inch deeper into her.

Elena at least had the courtesy to laugh a little at the girl's little directives. "Maybe you should thought about that before picking a battle you can't win." The chains were off now and the lion had come roaring out as she was seized by an anger, an urge to show this Slytherin just what her own words could do before the girl took it even a step further. "I'm not going to stand here and argue semantics with you although it has been fun, maybe you should run off into another one of your hidey-holes and talk to a wall or something, that'll help, I'm sure." She said, her expression blank as her hand dropped towards her pocket brushing for the outline of the wand. Elena had never hexed anyone in pure aggression or malice but if this kept up, she might be breaking that record today. "For now, I strongly advise scurrying off or this might turn into something more than talking."

Sienna was impossibly confident that sooner or later, Elena would grow tired of this argument and give up. The sooner she decided that the younger Gryffindor would win the argument, the better. It had to have been a sizeable amount of time the two had been arguing, trading insults back and forth with each other. As a matter of fact, the sun seemed to be slowly but surely making its way across the sky as the argument grew more and more heated. That was fine with her. The more time she could spend making the older girl look foolish the better. She would make it a point for the other girl never to bother her again.

"So you are perceptive at the very least," she observed coldly. As Elena continued to quarrel with her, the younger girl couldn't help but notice the warmth draining from the older one's tone. So this is how it was to be then, was it? The fight had certainly taken a turn. "I am no child. I told you, no, warned you to stay away from me at the beginning of this whole thing. Is it my fault that you cannot listen to other people's words?" It was simply the truth which she spoke. If Elena had only listened to her, none of this scuffle need have happened.

"Picking a battle I can't win?" she repeated icily. Her eyebrows raised and she folded her arms across her chest in anger. "You're awfully confident aren't you? I pick my battles carefully. If I didn't think I could win, well then what's the point of entering?" Her anger deepened when the Gryffindor suggested she go off and hide in a corner. "I highly suggest you think before you speak next time. You have no idea what I'm capable of. If you wish to turn this into a duel, then be my guest. That's your choice, not mine."

Elena weighed her opponet for a good moment or two deciding what she gained to lose or win on this fool's errand. Granted, the girl was sure she could take the other in a duel if it came down to it, she'd been through plenty of life-harrowing experiences to get a sense of how these things worked but she also wasn't in the buisness of catching a detention just because someone said something, she'd have to be the bigger person here but doing so was certainly hard when the person in question didn't know how to shut their trap. "I think I know exactly what you're capable enough based on what I've seen here so let me give you a first-hand view of what exactly I think you have the ability to do."

Zilch. Nada. Nothing.

That was what Elena thought a just and fitting answer was. "I think you make an hobby out of running your mouth and just being a grump, maybe you get amusement out of it or something but that's as far as you'll go." She was playing a dangerous game, calling Sienna's bluff but there was always the chance the girl could always prove her wrong send one or two curses her way and Elena would be more than happy to respond but she had more to lose than this girl. She didn't fancy having to explain to her captain how she couldn't play in the next Quidditch game becuase Elena Jangleton thought doling out justice to some irrelevant girl was more important than perhaps the importance of the Quidditch Cup that weighed over them year after year as all of these factors came merging together in her head.

"Have the spot." She threw back remvoing her hand from where her wand lay althought it certainly took an effort to do so. The sancity of the day was ruined anyway when Sienna had decided to make a big deal out of nothing. "Next time, maybe wear some overalls so you don't get your dazzly robes ruined by some dirt or something, Merlin forbid. That would be an catastrophe." She said sarcastically shaking her head before picking up her things quite keen on leaving this arguement behind and with one last glare and perhaps sincerly wishing a hundred curse on the girl and her blasted robes, she tromped off towards the sillhouette of the castle half-expecting Sienna to curse her when her back was turned, she would not be surprised if such an event came to transpire.
