It was a rainy night when I trudged up the stairs to the owlery. In my hand was an envelope with a letter containing this message.Short but sweet. When I finally made it to the top of the tower, I glanced around the room and tried to figure out which owls belonged to the school and which didn’t. I finally found a barred owl and gave the letter to it. “You know where to take this.” I said softly. “To my mother please.” The owl flew out the window and away. I went back to my dorm and went to bed.Dear Mum,
My second year back has been going well. Classes are good, lots of new first years in Hufflepuff, and a
new head of house. I hope you and dad are well. Say hi to Parker and Justin for me!

That night, I tossed and turned in bed. My mum and dad were hiding something big and I knew it. I sat up and looked around. I pulled out my book and read.
Before I went to Hogwarts this year, my father and mother had worried faces and always talked in hushed voices. I tried to listen but they were too quiet. I always ended up reading or going to bed. Dad always came home from work with a stressed look on his face and worried lines creased in his forehead. At first I just assumed that work was hard and he had a lot to worry about. Mum was always reading about other places in the world, which I thought she wanted to travel. But before I left, I wasn’t so sure.────────────────────────────────

School was good. I was was working hard, completing homework and hanging out with my friends. I loved my life. Then something happened. After classes I had flopped down on my bed and was finishing up my homework. I yawned and kept going. Soon I heard a soft peck peck on the window. My parents responded to my owl! I thought. I hopped out of bed and quickly opened the window. Peacock, our family owl flew in, dropped the letter on my bed and flew back out of the castle window, and up to the owlery. I sat back down on my bed and tore the letter open.“Oh my… What!!” I exclaimed. I honestly didn’t know what to think. Tears began to drip from my eyes as the reality soaked in. “Whyyyyyy why are they doing this to meeee,” I said as tears flowed from my face. The letter was now soaked in tears. I pulled my glasses off and set them on the table. I stood up and threw the letter on the ground. This was the worst news of my life.Dear Cara,
I am so glad school has been going well for you. Parker and Justin are well. Dad and I, well, we have some news to share with you. Dad lost his job and we have to move out of the country. That means you will be attending a different wizarding school, where ever we end up moving. I know this news probably just ruined your life and you will be leaving all of your friends, but we have no choice. I love you so so muc, we will send an owl with more updates and details.
